08/2/2017 07:27 | 'Mechanical exfoliation process'. It's an atomic pencil sharpener! Can see them all there now, that's why it's scalable ! | luckyorange
08/2/2017 07:17 | Btw I thought it would be this week as I've been tracking the trademark since December and the 2 month trademark publication period ended this week. | superg1
08/2/2017 07:14 | There you are the highest quality, fewest layer and probably the only company worldwide that can mass produce them. Easily scalable, cost effective and no harsh methods. Very glad to see it's finally launched and ready for customers. Btw I spotted Nanene and www.nanene.com some time ago. It surely had to have a brand name being so good. I take it to be a Nano Graphene combination and nice to see it has a name and that separates it from the trash out there which many call graphene. | superg1
08/2/2017 07:13 | Looks like Nanene is the new black! | luckyorange
07/2/2017 14:18 | looks like supply there with 50,000 sales.Good news for any that want to top up at what, we hope, are attractive levels. May have a few more myself. Guess probably needs a bit of strong news-flow to give a few volume days to wash out the sellers. | the prophet
07/2/2017 12:23 | TheKLF I must admit, that was/is one of my concerns as well. You've got quite a few geographical bases, fairly spread out, different businesses , limited top/board management (limited in numbers, not ability!), cash constrained. It sounds a real head-ache! Carbide was supposed to be the cash cow but, as far as I can see, it seems a lot of hassle for, at the moment, little reward. Although as SG points out, the Carbide division does offer support/manufacturin To be fair to VRS when i have raised these issues, they say they have the appropriate management in place at each facility and whilst they constantly review things, they are more than satisfied with the current set-up. That is fair enough and they seem very capable people. I also feel that the market may not give VRS the sort of rating it wants, if it can make a success of the graphene businesses, because of the other bits. We will just have to see on that front. It is also probably the case they they would struggle to get anything at all for Carbide, so perhaps they haven't got too much option other than to persevere with it. It's something to keep an eye on. | the prophet
07/2/2017 11:54 | SG, My post was intended to be a little tongue in cheek.. no idea how to represent that grammatically, so just settled with :) As a result of your constant research / digging & sharing I think we are all becoming a bit more educated ( sophisticated even? )in how we view the claims of the various companies that "claim" graphene, GNP's etc. Naturally, what I really want to see is the 2 years of research that prove that graphene enhanced ski jackets are better than "normal" ski jackets... :) Keep up the good work fella, as ever, it's greatly appreciated. All the best Mr D | mr dexy
07/2/2017 11:53 | I got the impression it's all guns blazing on graphene. Carbide was a fit for the copper foam. Staff skills and some machinery. Copper foam is disruptive so would always take time. | superg1
07/2/2017 11:30 | I won't be at presentation. I hope people continue to challenge the Company on their strategy. Re-reading the recent Trading Update it seems the legacy business is troublesome and my worry would be it detracts Management focus from genuine growth businesses. I got the impression at the Investor Day that the strategy is constantly reviewed by the Board so it's right shareholders continue to raise questions on it and contribute to the debate. Of course Management focus in terms of time isn't the only issue it impacts cashflow and capital resource considerations as well. | theklf
07/2/2017 10:59 | Mr Dexy Before I have a look at that I note the term grahene based. Graphite is graphene based too. My guess is although directa do graphene that will be graphite particles. Currently many call product graphene when in reality it's graphite. Lack of standards allow such misdescriptions for now. | superg1
07/2/2017 10:54 | There will be something else to link hopefully this week. A date potentially allows that but having tracked it all I see no reason for anything to stop it. With the presentation/ investor event Thursday evening it would fit very nicely for that. Funds present too with managers they may never have looked at graphene let alone VRS. | superg1
07/2/2017 10:39 | And.. on the same page... "Directa Plus, a producer and supplier of graphene-based products, has announced that Colmar, the high-end sportswear company, has launched a new collection of ski jackets containing the Company’s graphene-based products." Fishing rods, ski jackets... whatever next :) Regards to all Mr D | mr dexy

06/2/2017 18:12 | handy, I have a Board Meeting in the evening otherwise I'd love to get to the presentation. Is anyone from here going ?? Best wishes - Mike | spike_1
06/2/2017 16:14 | I think it's only a question of time before the herd arrive. Thursday will draw some attention, I'm sure. This is well under the radar at the moment, and the fact that UoM and UoC have retained a 15% interest speaks volumes, not to mention UoM accepting premium payment. | handygandhi
06/2/2017 16:04 | Been tempted myself just wondering if it will break out when some things appear. | superg1
06/2/2017 15:31 | Picked up another 5k. at 12.45p. at 15:07. Tried all kinds of combinations, but just couldn't get them at 12.10p., which leads me to suspect that the previous 12.10p. trades were sells. | handygandhi
06/2/2017 15:26 | Winters off the offer and on the bid so no clear supply from them. Just Peel left on the offer now. If we get some news or events to kick off some volume that should tell us whether shares are tight. | superg1
06/2/2017 14:10 | Interesting articles on graphene inks. And . . . . . . | handygandhi
06/2/2017 11:47 | I questioned the luck of dropping on the ulster tech and other tech. With 25,000 papers per year you are either in the knowledge grapevine or you aren't. I've trawled the web so had a htf moment as you can't be that lucky. So on that point I believe after a chat things like the ulster tech found VRS. In other words he and his team are well thought of and are considered an effective enthusiastic capable team with the skills to turn great ideas into a business. No surprise then that all involved prefer a stake in the tech and business rather than cash. It's the entire picture of all aspects that attracts me and they are very well connected in the small business sector. | superg1
06/2/2017 10:55 | well spotted (as usual sg ;0). Re your link above: Seems clear that NR knows exactly what's going on behind the scenes, hence his acquisition of Cambridge Graphene who supply graphene inks! The man really does seem to be a genius at spotting commercial opportunities ahead of the pack. Best wishes - Mike | spike_1
06/2/2017 10:55 | There is a random VRS comment that I never mentioned from the open day as I was in composites enhancements mode and didn't fully appreciate the possible implications until ink and cap-xx have caught my attention. It was something like this. "Our GNPs are performing really well for electrical conductivity where others don't perform, why there is such a difference is not fully known yet" Plastics, peek and composites mode didn't have me thinking about the battery side at the time. | superg1
06/2/2017 10:24 | Hunting around after noting investor interest in super capacitors (cap-xx) I found details of the start if the study at the Warwick group. Bits that caught my attention Research activities are targeted at identifying the choice and quality of graphene, Hmm they partnered with VRS but more interesting considering the recent acquisition is graphene inks. | superg1
05/2/2017 22:48 | your such a tease sg ;0) | spike_1
05/2/2017 21:41 | Agreed superg, you were never convinced on IDP, I remain on the sidelines there but only because of valuation. Sorry O/T | che7win |
