The recipe has been there since they announced the ulster tech and 2D tech deal. It's just been a case of patience while they sorted out dispersion, proof of scalability, viable costs and the key part of proof of performance.

Not only is it the best GNPs worldwide it's can be scaled up to as much as needed in a straightforward modular process.

As far as I'm aware they are the only company worldwide than do commercial levels in few layer graphene. It's high purity and high quality.

This is what the GNP world has been asking for.

Clearly there are some new angles re batteries, supercapicitors and thermal pastes. I need to digest it all.

Also some clues on there about what is potentially on the way.

I said a website was coming which would confirm my claims and it has. Potentially more to come on other bits I've crossed paths on if they turn into deals.

I let VRS know I'd spotted Nanene and the website 2 months back and they asked I keep it low key so they could launch it as and when appropriate, which I did.

As I recall that order was to be the first of many from that entity. Logic suggests the 'nanene inside' product needed then to be manufactured for the first time, tested to ensure it does what it's supposed to, then put into the market, after which the orders should follow.

Now that 'nanene' has it's name, we should be able to identify the 'product' when it comes to market, and then make a judgement call on where that then leads.

And of course that is just one product, and we know VRS are working with many 'entities'.

I am confident we have a future here.

Best wishes - Mike

If the market wants REAL GNPs that actually work then they are now available.

It will be interesting to see what investors and those funds present think of it tomorrow evening.

Wish I could say more on other things. Dig deep you may find them.

I have asked the question on the open day and since. The answer is until they proven capability and proven performance they were not prepared to sell other than research samples into the market. Once proven the large order came which I believe took all then available capacity up to Xmas during which time they expanded capacity as stated and can easily scale up.

As noted in recent news and prior the market talks of no one with the ability to mass produce few layer. There has been someone they have just been quiet about it while they got things lined up.

Watch this space for larger orders to come.

Finally VRS are going to publicly break cover on their technology which is currently the world lead.

Very good news and clever branding. Just a pity there have been no further orders for this wonder material to be productised since last November?

Some new bits on there

Many companies are looking to Graphene enhanced batteries to give the extra energy density they require to power their devices for longer, and to offer faster charging when required. 2-DTech, along with our collaboration partners Warwick Manufacturing Group, have successfully incorporated Nanene into a working supercapacitor system

'Mechanical exfoliation process'. It's an atomic pencil sharpener! Can see them all there now, that's why it's scalable !

I thought it would be this week as I've been tracking the trademark since December and the 2 month trademark publication period ended this week.

There you are the highest quality, fewest layer and probably the only company worldwide that can mass produce them.

Easily scalable, cost effective and no harsh methods. Very glad to see it's finally launched and ready for customers.

Btw I spotted Nanene and www.nanene.com some time ago. It surely had to have a brand name being so good.

I take it to be a Nano Graphene combination and nice to see it has a name and that separates it from the trash out there which many call graphene.

looks like supply there with 50,000 sales.Good news for any that want to top up at what, we hope, are attractive levels. May have a few more myself.
Guess probably needs a bit of strong news-flow to give a few volume days to wash out the sellers.

I must admit, that was/is one of my concerns as well. You've got quite a few geographical bases, fairly spread out, different businesses , limited top/board management (limited in numbers, not ability!), cash constrained. It sounds a real head-ache!
Carbide was supposed to be the cash cow but, as far as I can see, it seems a lot of hassle for, at the moment, little reward. Although as SG points out, the Carbide division does offer support/manufacturing for the copper foams.

To be fair to VRS when i have raised these issues, they say they have the appropriate management in place at each facility and whilst they constantly review things, they are more than satisfied with the current set-up. That is fair enough and they seem very capable people.

I also feel that the market may not give VRS the sort of rating it wants, if it can make a success of the graphene businesses, because of the other bits. We will just have to see on that front. It is also probably the case they they would struggle to get anything at all for Carbide, so perhaps they haven't got too much option other than to persevere with it.
It's something to keep an eye on.

SG,

My post was intended to be a little tongue in cheek.. no idea how to represent that grammatically, so just settled with :)

As a result of your constant research / digging & sharing I think we are all becoming a bit more educated ( sophisticated even? )in how we view the claims of the various companies that "claim" graphene, GNP's etc.

Naturally, what I really want to see is the 2 years of research that prove that graphene enhanced ski jackets are better than "normal" ski jackets... :)

Keep up the good work fella, as ever, it's greatly appreciated.

All the best

I got the impression it's all guns blazing on graphene.

Carbide was a fit for the copper foam. Staff skills and some machinery.

Copper foam is disruptive so would always take time.

I won't be at presentation. I hope people continue to challenge the Company on their strategy. Re-reading the recent Trading Update it seems the legacy business is troublesome and my worry would be it detracts Management focus from genuine growth businesses. I got the impression at the Investor Day that the strategy is constantly reviewed by the Board so it's right shareholders continue to raise questions on it and contribute to the debate. Of course Management focus in terms of time isn't the only issue it impacts cashflow and capital resource considerations as well.

Mr Dexy

Before I have a look at that I note the term grahene based.

Graphite is graphene based too. My guess is although directa do graphene that will be graphite particles.

Currently many call product graphene when in reality it's graphite.

Lack of standards allow such misdescriptions for now.

There will be something else to link hopefully this week. A date potentially allows that but having tracked it all I see no reason for anything to stop it.

With the presentation/ investor event Thursday evening it would fit very nicely for that. Funds present too with managers they may never have looked at graphene let alone VRS.

And.. on the same page...

"Directa Plus, a producer and supplier of graphene-based products, has announced that Colmar, the high-end sportswear company, has launched a new collection of ski jackets containing the Company’s graphene-based products."

Fishing rods, ski jackets... whatever next :)

Regards to all
