Note this bit

Last year, a study suggested that graphene could help mobile phone batteries last 25 percent longer, and the material has the potential to filter fuel out of thin air.

But these applications have been limited by the fact that graphene usually has to be made in a vacuum at intense heat using purified ingredients, which makes it expensive to produce.

Until we can find a cost-effective way to mass produce the over-achieving material, it's pretty much limited to labs.

Note the last line in particular the last bit has been achieved by a company called Versarien/2D tech. The PR to say that outright and promote it will appear shortly.

That's why I'm in VRS.

I'm talking about the few layer GNPs, mass single layer via CVD is not there yet and is highly expensive. Few layer GNPs have 1000's of uses where they can transform performance including in batteries.

EG Graphene can be produced from food waste, gas, coal and graphite.

They seem to have a history of 'well meaning', but offer little in return for a potential investor.

I'm not pushing it. I did note the various energy storage options but my brief understanding is that longevity and reliability is a big issue which RED claim to have sorted. EG units that will work day in day out and last 25 years.

I know for sure the National grid guys think the next ones to come up with power storage answers will be billionaires. I'm not suggesting RED is the one, I just crossed it's path and will wait to see if they prove up their claims.

Having solar topping up the system in the UK is daft as the greatest harvesting time is at one of the lowest use points.

My initial thought was it's good for remote locations and needs.

I don't have any and won't be getting any in the near future, just a long term one to keep an eye on imo.

It was over 2 years of watching and researching before I finally took a serious dip here.

re RED.
Sorry for the o/t, but spent some time today researching the above and as you can see from the Wikipedia link below, it's not something that they have to themselves.

re RED.

Be wary of the 8p fund raise, sure enough as stated yesterday the unknown column matches the buys so clearly an 8p fund raise participant cashing some in and no doubt will continue to do so while there is profit to be had.

I'll keep watching the volumes and action. I'm not going to look deeply into it, just perhaps a low level punt trade opportunity if the share price hits the raise price and the herd fancy a go at it again. No doubt plenty of followers there have the same theory.

There could be all sorts of pitfalls that I am unaware of as I only spent about 20 mins looking at it. Looks like it would be good if they prove up the tech in the field.

TP

It was very useful in the Allianz and BR supply time as from that and A LOT of digging that I've never done before I learned plenty about how they work.

Besides that after years of watching various AIM shares they will often attempt to kid us as they know we watch it.

It's not always the case but on occasions they will try a price drop to attract sells and get a supply. Sometimes sells are simply squaring up the books when they got the anticipated demand wrong and got too many on the bid.

It's just a guide and MMs regularly get their worst slapped on false representation on level 2. I know a guy that reports such events and watches for it daily. I don't know how but he has a bit of a FCA hotline and has become an extra set of eyes for them.

You can't actually tell from L2 what the true position is, eg recently, can't remember if it was VRS or another stock, I was looking to buy, WINS were the most uncompetative on L2, but lo and behold when there was real money on offer they were the best. A lot of fooling around and false info re L2. It's useful, but only up to a point.

All eyes on Peel and winters now to see if they stay on the offer longer than normal trading (if we get any volume). WINs were on the bid in the recent run so they did collect some.

Btw the way at the end of trading yesterday I saw a 1 trade go in the AGM column and sure enough an RNS came.

Then after all my claims of filling their boots re salaries and bonuses up came FREE share options lol. That's a first for me I've never seen free ones dished out in all the shares I've followed.

And the driver to get the options is not business advancement but getting the share price up. WTF an open invitation to tempt more BS.

Looks like 2017 is going to be the year that it all takes off, just a little more patience required and orders should be kicking in as well as some much needed PR from VRS.

What is the size of the VRS sales team, excluding all of the collaborations and Uni's, is it just Neill?

If you want to see how the NGI makes graphene have a look at the link. Bit of a journey to get there though!

Seems complicated and a bit daft Humanoid and way off.

It can be made from coal, graphite, waste food and gas.

High grade graphite can be £3000 per tonne or £3 per kg or .3p per gram. Yields for GNPs can be as high as 50% to 70%.

So you have a source stock without all the messing around at under 1p per gram produced, with high quality research samples selling for £400 per gram.

It won't last long Shavian, as I say I've found things.

Trades yesterday, no sign of any late or unknown trade as yet so perhaps things are still on level playing field.

Thanks for the steer to RED - looks interesting.Still can't fathom why NGI / UOM are so coy about VRS, they are shareholders after all. It would be in their interests to get the share price up to 19p at least.

Re RED and the obvious other trades seller

A post by a RED investor

"Can't believe it's not higher after today's trading..."

It's obvious to me after tracking such things a few months back, worth paying attention to it imo.

Re my previous post.

I was half expecting the 3.15pm on sells to trigger a late report but no such sign of that, so it seems it was a level playing field of supply and demand.

Near all looked from one perhaps PI seller cashing in for 10-20%. Too close together and if you check you will see some trades were broken up.

EG 3.16pm and 3.21pm trades of 6,100 and 18,900 = a 25,000 sell.

My suspicions are it was possibly the chart signal buyer that appeared on the last run and with the old peak near hit he got out, having been sat on a loss when it dipped back. He'll be watching for a break out now if still around.

This may be suck eggs stuff but it's knowledge I picked up in the last few months of how MMs operate.

I mentioned RED on another thread, I don't have any and won't be getting any due to the large 8p fund raise and quite a discount. The tech looks interesting, I'm not going to dig in and research there I'll just watch for progress on proof of the tech which looks interesting.

I mention it as it has a bit of a following and this was proved with over 1 mill of buys yesterday with very little selling at all. The share price went nowhere probably to the surprise of all the buyers.

I assumed pre open that some 8p buyers on the fund raise would simply cash in. Sure enough throughout the day the buys volume was matched by in the unknown column. The unknowns were the MMs getting supply from the sellers nominees which get listed as a trade, often reported late. The MMs then pass on those shares to the buyers and the share price hardly moves because the market remains in balance as the MM with the supply sits on the offer.

Check out the unknown column today v buys unknown 240k buys 280k sells 246k.

That tells me MMs so far have picked up (reported so far) 240k shares from the 8p seller and there have been 280k of buys. So 40k more sold than in the supply, but then 246k have been sold meaning the mms overall now have 206k of extra shares between them. share price -3.4% which reflects the gain in supply on the market.

Just as another quick example.

Cloudtag normally jumps up and down by big numbers 2.5 mill buys with 1.2 mill sells but the unknown column 2.7 mill matches the buys hence the share price is going nowhere.

Sorry if that is suck eggs stuff but it's what I have picked up on the VRS unknowns when we had the supply followed by some serious digging to get to understand how it all works.

So on any share you are in if it's not behaving normally on volumes watch that unknown column and late trades.

EG if the see a trade of 177k that will be one MM getting that many from the supplier. There may be more than 1 MM getting the supply but they will be on the offer. Further trades could be the same MM returning later.

Typically I have learned such trades happen at 8.15 am but often get reported later in the day. I assume when they run out, then if they go back for more during the day they appear as after hours unknowns.

IMO knowing these bits and pieces gives an advantage on timing and helps on the understand of why an share price is not doing what it normally does.

Yes a pause while the MMs get rid of what they collected thinking volumes would surge. They tried it on with higher prices to tempt some buyers but got a seller.

PI behaviour imo can often be more more to track than the company themselves. Not here at the moment as the quick buck fold are very limited.

As for news I didn't expect Cambridge to attract so much interest but I now believe (after a bit of extra digging) than a gaggle of city folk small in number latched onto some parts not obvious to all here.

So very we still have a relatively small circle of investors that know VRS exists let alone know it's about it's lead in GNPs.

All of that will come in the near future and certain events should catapult knowledge about VRS.

The lead in auto is Jag/Landrover at this time check the UK sales. They are already a customer of AAC, and it's suspected something is in play re VRS and them.
Airbus too the link is obvious there through Ian Gray and CT engineering, BUT it's only obvious to those that put the effort in the read the news and links.
Next up is ??? :-)

The materials with VRS GNPs are proven to work.

If anyone is willing to hunt for data on enhanced verified performance data from others It may take you a week or so to hunt around but a few mins to post your findings.

My advice is don't bother trying to look, I spent months doing that and finally gave up. That was all about trying to find some verifiable data to show GNPs are proven to enhance performance in the real world not the lab or on paper.

VRS have done that and watch what happens next. When such big gains are made it catches the attention of those that seek gains. Well actually they don't seek such large gains just fractional gains as that was all that was possible until now.

SP taking a breather at the moment, but looking good for the re-rate, it's only a matter of time!

I do wonder what news they will put out, lots of possibilities in the pipeline and also wonder if the purchasing of equipment was related to graphene production (in the update).
