26/3/2016 15:21 | This is going to be an even better dividend stock to buy soon as besides the drop in the share price the buy back of shares will now cease. | johndee
25/3/2016 11:37 | 1. Sportbilly - not intuition - it's just looking back at the patterns. If I had believed my own rhetoric I would have shorted the stock - but didn't have the bottle. It does provide an indication for at what point to enter. 2. spob - why a new thread? | toffeeman
24/3/2016 18:26 | party over. it's been a good run for those who bought for 18p in 1990. | r ball
24/3/2016 18:06 | A bad day for my NEXT shares but have only 5% of my portfolio in them which is the maximum I allow in my ISA. Will see if it settles down next week but believe it has good management and a good brand so happy to hold for now. Hindsight traders are not really worth listening to - If you believe in the business which I do and think the management team can do a good job then hold on if not bail out.I am for holding for now. | markycrispy
24/3/2016 17:48 | Jakedog2Your post is right on the money. I been short for 6 month now very good day for me | marko1961
24/3/2016 17:09 | I've started a new thread for this one guys (and girls) Some charts above not working and although it is interesting to read the 2008 commentary in the header, that was 8 years ago now New thread here - | spob
24/3/2016 15:46 | Good intuition... Toffeeman 2 Mar'16 - 15:53 - 5197 of 5206 0 0 Any gap fillers think it will revisit Jan 2014? Kendonagasaki 3 Mar'16 - 09:22 - 5198 of 5206 0 0 Resistance at £63. If that breaks we should see the trend toward £60. More volatility due in the markets within the next 10 days. Hold on to your hats! Toffeeman 3 Mar'16 - 10:20 - 5199 of 5206 0 0 Gap is at 5400? Kendonagasaki 3 Mar'16 - 18:13 - 5200 of 5206 0 0 If it breaks below £60 this month I'm inclined to agree toffee man! | sportbilly1976
24/3/2016 15:36 | leedskier - negative outlook. Gone ex growth. Also no special divis , IMHO free cash, will be spent on shoring up the share price with buybacks. Hence you will be left with a stock which has gone ex growth with a PEx14 & divi at c2.8% at best. Quality company but going to be under pressure going forward. | jakedog2
24/3/2016 15:02 | Looks like just you and me toffee man who can see that gap that's just widened! If support is lost at £54.00 then new resistance is £47.66Trade well! | kendonagasaki
24/3/2016 14:43 | EditNo interest | leedskier
24/3/2016 14:24 | Other than shopping for kids clothes in Next, I have interest here, but why the hammering if sales, profits and dividends are all up? | leedskier
24/3/2016 13:09 | This is getting ugly ! Whats the next support price | awe430save132
24/3/2016 12:21 | Judging by the number of deliveries that we get from Next each week then the future looks very rosy :-) | tlobs2
24/3/2016 11:16 | Gravity has finally pulled this down....was it all artificial growth with buy backs?.... | diku
24/3/2016 08:29 | Well it broke 6000 at opening | toffeeman
24/3/2016 07:35 | Outlook for Sales and Profit (MORE TO FOLLOW) Dow Jones Newswires March 24, 2016 03:01 ET (07:01 GMT) We now expect NEXT Brand full price sales growth for the full year to be between -1.0% to +4.0%, with a mid-point of +1.5%. At this stage in the year there is inevitably a high degree of uncertainty and we recognise that there is an upside risk to the numbers if we have a colder winter (the fourth quarter of last year being unusually warm). However at this stage we think it is best to prepare ourselves for what could be a difficult year. Our sales and profit guidance for the year ahead is shown in the table below. Guidance Estimates Lower Upper Year to January 2017 (52 end end v 52 week basis) of guidance of guidance ==================== Total full price NEXT Brand sales growth - 1.0% +4.0% Group profit before tax GBP784m GBP858m Group profit before tax growth - 4.5% +4.5% | pimsim
10/3/2016 08:53 | they are doing 10/20quid discount vouchers which are a good idea, but why do customers have to give personal details as date of birth, order on line, friend has to make a purchase, terms & conditions, online orders-pay in full, on delivery you have state satisfaction of goods BEFORE discount is given, their customer phone response is very slow seem short staffed? mks down over 3% today, need to push some promotions as john lewis cuts bonuses, | mike24
08/3/2016 16:53 | that might be the reaction was looking for am long now unless that shoulder breaks | markycrispy
08/3/2016 10:11 | am hoping for a reverse head and shoulders pattern to develop from slightly lower than here or we will be unstuck and I will be out - would certainly look to buy back in as I believe they have good management in place | markycrispy
03/3/2016 18:13 | If it breaks below £60 this month I'm inclined to agree toffee man! | kendonagasaki |
