One quick glance at the long-term chart gives some idea as to the potential recovery here. Liberum Capitol have a price target of £1.50!!!

If they have been our seller, it would explain the ridiculous share price...but if they have now cleared, as the RNS confirms, the re-rate will be rapid....

Large volume buying. Someone knows something. Orbis has sold out its entire stake presumably to one buyer. I imagine a number of possibilities:
1. A new holder has become jpr's biggest shareholder
2. One of the existing large shareholders has decided to dramatically increase their stake (keep an eye on CA) presumably to benefit from a sale, restructure or recovery.
3. Or, joy of joys, newsquest/gannett, trinity or someone else has decided to make a move and we are about to see a bid for the business.
There should be a corresponding RNS to say who the new large shareholder is. At that point all will be revealed. The 11-12% held by Orbis evidently didn't get sold on the open market because we would have seen massive volume and probably a drop in the price.
So right now, I'm buckling-up and settling in for a roller coaster ride. Good luck everyone.

Yes, interesting RNS. Could they have been drip selling that many for the last few weeks as there always seems to have been selling appear whenever buyers appeared?

It does seem like a lot of shares though to have passed via the market, so maybe we'll get another RNS from whoever bought them if they did a block trade outside of the market.

Look forward to what happens next (expecting something good that is).

...unless they sort of sold these shares months ago via some weird "hedge" thingie - hence the price we're at now (as massive short position), and they have only just CLEARED their position now

Either way, I would guess, its a good sign... "Perhaps" we'll see JPR rise from here?

Yeah....it looks like theyve sold them.to someone else as dumping that much on the market would have effected the sharprice...very interesting.

On the face of it, as a result of the sale, someone has bought the entire lot!
But why I do not know...
Perhaps that is the story in question...
