Fair play to anyone taking a profit DDDT. £3k over 3 days is a good days work.
I feel this is only the start of the game though.
Timing of last RNS was a bit poor, I assume to enable someone we all know to keep topping up - there were an awful lot of machine gun AT trades at various stages yesterday. Mostly buys, but a few sells to control the price.
Friday is always a weaker day, as day traders clear the decks for weekend - and I think there were a lot of short term punts yesterday.
As others have said, I think we will now form a base, if not here, a little higher over the next few trading days.
Todays dip is a stonking opportunity that I have certainly taken advantage of.
Happy to hold and watch the fun now.

I don't disagree, but looks like that RNS yesterday is end of this mini spike.I noted the reloads at 17p all day yesterday as a large seller at that price and at close yesterday the seller put 500k in the close auction at 17p, singling headwind at this price.

Best of luck, mid term it looks very interesting and i shall return.

aimho and as always, happy (Not surprised) to be proven incorrect.

well done debbie, however I dont see this going much below 30p soon. Remember someone has just spent £1M - that is quite a big vote of confidence.

Shame on the timing of that RNS yesterday. It would have had far more impact as a 7 am RNS today.
I Sold 100k this am (not yet showing) at 16.87 culminating a nice three day play.
Good luck all

Ianio "What do your psychic powers see for the share price now Nick.."

err ............. lol I think the CA stake has put a floor in the price now, so we should stay around this level as the market awaits corporate developments which will move the share price higher of course. The only stumbling block is if the management don't do what they are expected to do by shareholders.

Anything can happen now, the CA stake could be used to orchestrate a takeover, to hold mngmnt accountable by proposing to oust them if they don't do the right thing and so on. Having CA as shareholders and hopefully activist is only going to assist shareholders for the better.

Great RNS yesterday! Could be more to come still like that as other shareholders may buckle out.

Hi all,

May not be strictly comparable, but when speculating re possible 'price paid' by CA to acquire Orbis's stake, remember that they coughed up 15 p recently for HUR's rescue rights issue when the shares were languishing at ca. 10 p.

Yes RNS just 6 mins before close so could be some follow up buying tomorrow. Wonder if CA bought any more today, there was a steady flow of AT buys going through at various stages today

Tomorrow will certainly be interesting...
A lot of buying today on speculation that CA were the buyer. Disappointing that they withheld confirmation RNS until just before closing bell.
I did try to add but I was just too late to get a deal through.
The higher UT trade at 17 gave a hint at opening up in the morning. If the price is not too rediculous, I will be adding big time...!
CA do not take prisoners. They see an opportunity and will be demanding results... They now have the firepower to seriously kick some ass. The easy ride gravy train is over for AH and the Rest of the board. It's time sh*t or get off the pot - before they get thrown off.
I'm expecting some fun in the next few days/weeks/months and will be fully loaded to enjoy the ride...

Will we get to find out what CA have paid for this acquisition ?

Be interesting to find out, A premium in my opinion, to acquire so many gradually would have sent us flying i guess and cost much more in the end.

I am real glad to be in here now, This should be interesting to say the least, although i am also wary as i had higher hopes of another share the subject of a takeover recently and have been left a little deflated at the outcome which appears truly unjust, sorry for off topic but its kind of on topic i suppose.

Some great reading here guys which has helped me with my research, I had a fairly comforting email reply from AH a few months ago, His concerns echoed my own, Strange really but i did like the speedy response and personal touch to the reply

What thoughts have we got on the share price tomorrow guys, CA's initial involvement caused quite a stir

Decent news for holders, perhaps the best in a while - CA have a proven track record in obtaining value for shareholders - which they have a large stake 18.63 percent. Massive loss on an epic scale for Orbis but it is obvious who you would want to lead the charge of shareholder value and to put pressure on the JPR board to perform which as we all know has been woeful. Massive rewards for abject failure time and time again. So pleased for the long term holders who have had a torrid time over the years, which they certainly do not deserve. Tide I am sure has changed - for me personally I am pleased that AH and cohorts will have pressure from CA as JPRs major shareholder forcing value. May take some time looking at what they did with Thorntons but certain value will win out, with CA taking a proactive stance. There are too many BOD's who just carry things on lining their pockets - they will have to perform to retain their positions. Doubt a takeover however as even Orbis with their track record in JPR wouldn't sell out if there was a chance of medium term gain and exit - certainly interesting to see how this will play out - GL all - really good news no doubt.

This move is good news for JPR undoubtedly but potentially the beginning of the end in the longterm. This should drift back for now, certainly once the excitement has died down before the next piece of the jigsaw is revealed.

Patience is the key, I think there will be better topping up opportunities at a lower price.

I am a firm believer JPR has multiple suitors who have cash readies to purchase.

The recent news from Trinity about attempting to combine resources to make savings certainly confirms JPR is a sitting duck for further savings as a potential cash cow.

jamdan: when they took an interest there they increased their stake to around the 20-23% mark from my recollection. They will probably up it to this mark in my view. Later they made quite a chunk of profit from it, when it was taken over.

They will not make an offer for it, it is not what they do. They are an activist investor and a very good one. They unearth value in a lot of companies and exploit it for their shareholders, a very shrewd bunch of cookies.

From a technical analysis viewpoint this is now hitting areas that I like to see.
