The secretary had upheld an earlier decision by the Ministerial Licensing and Advisory Committee (MLAC), which annulled the permit.

It would appear that the independent examiner found the security at Gauteng satisfactory, but clearly the RR testing faulty.

Interesting that RR is the bad boy here and GDP can do no wrong http://www.gold.co.za/about_trust.htmYou need a balance view here and until this dispute is settled you need to have an open mind To me I would like to know what the security measures are in place at Kili for stopping gold being stolen there, as well as all the other sites or is only at RR there is dishonesty

They already have very solid relationships with RR shareholders. Important that RR don't make them out to be shisters or a pushover.

RR are incompetent. That is the top and bottom of it. RR shareholders will be all too aware of that.

I thought the silver toll contract was designed to solidify their relationship with RR & its shareholders.Settle & move on.

Yep the problems that occurred created the opportunity to pick up stock at those low prices. With all the issues ironed out and just the loose ends to tie up, the turnaround strategy will be wound down and the growth strategy is being moved up a gear to take its place.

With all the work done to strengthen the business, the odds of reaching and breaching previous highs in profitability and share price are far better now than they have ever been.

I was predicting 20p when the share price was 2p. We are not there yet but the odds have fallen.

Actually I am a bit more optimistic than I was and think we will go beyond 20p. If they can stitch some sort of mining deal together we may go well beyond that. At 20p GDP is only valued at £35m so plenty of scope.

We shall see.

Miller has bad mouthed Kimboy for his 20p predictions yet this little statement means that miller is in fact seeing things the same way...

It would be nice to see 20p which I think is easily obtainable.

Problem is that there are so many weak holders ready to grasp a small profit thereby ensuring the price will be held back for some time.

I put a five year span on my holding so I am impervious to all that nickel and dim dealing and small speculative chitchat!

As Miller felt in his post 91 of 11901 that in a little less than five years the stock would be at $2 or £1.60 a share. Lets see...

A little less than five years after millers post the stock was trading between 1.75p and 4p.

Enough said.

Glenborthwick,

I took a look at millers post after your last one and I can see how he said to go back about 6 years where he claims to be telling others to sell at 11p.

This is what he was saying six years ago and it vastly differs from his post 11901.

The share price around this time of year in 2011 was 11p.

I believe that in a little less than five years, all things being equal and there being no buy outs[which is still good news, these will be trading around $2 per share and with a divi!!

I see CRND had a bit of a profit warning last week because it has been raining in January and February;

I suspect that GDP will have some diesel generators and water recycling system so haven't been affected that much.

Indeed GDP was talking about a record 16kozs production in South Africa in H2/17.

On top of this is whatever they happen to agree from South America. There is also the fact that gold depreciated by 20% during H1/17. May be a bonus to profit if it stabalises, or increases.

Glenborthwick,

Feeding the resident troll won't get you anywhere here.

That bloke has been hanging around these boards for years, bitter and twisted about his losses.

He was bragging here a few years ago about how he had bought stock at 16.5p and 15.65p and that it was going to 30p. The stock collapsed to 1.75p over a relatively short period of time and miller hasn't stopped crying about it yet.

He continually calls the stock both ways and then claims to be right about everything no matter what it is.

Engage with him if you like, however, his posts on the UKIP and CULT threads will give you some idea what sort of individual you are dealing with here.

You summed it up correctly in one word in your post - sick !!!!

He is and needs help, yet won't take the hint. So I have him on filter, where he stays.

Daniel im new to this share - its ridiculous for you to claim credit for a drop from 7.5 to 7 when as recently as Nov 15 you said it would hit 2p. Since then its gone from 2p to 7p!!! How wrong could you have been. If people had listened then they would have lost out on at least a double your money share.

sick !!!

Man it's turn sick since I warned GDP was going to fall to 2p. This aroused the tacky tribe of rampers here to attack me.........they attacked the wrong person as Dan bits back.

Theses BB are supposed to be for open discussion, good bad or indifferent.....

THEY ARE NOT HERE FOR GOOD NEWS ONLY RAMPERS WHO HAVE AN INTEREST TO PROTECT

Yep in addition to theft, there will be incompetence, or manipulation of figures for a better bonus. Whose to say that the return on the contract wasn't being overstated by someone at rand to get a better bonus that month or year. It wouldn't be the first time that someone has pumped up their figures to get over a target at an organisation

The contract with GDP produced 2900 of gold eq ozs IIRC, but they were expecting another 700ozs.

Mistakes like that add up.

82000 ounces at todays GBP prices is just over £82 million. Take off setting up costs, processing costs and allowing for recovery rates, gives us quite a profitable earner.

It may appear logical for Rand to buy GDP but I doubt it will happen. RR is owned by various big gold producers basically as a bit of vertical integration and to ensure they don't get ripped off at the refining stage.

As it turns out they got ripped off because RR was incompetent and lost a couple of tonnes of their gold. I wouldn't expect the shareholders to agree to expansion when they have trouble manageing what they already have.

ISTR that the admission document gace RR as one of the main competitors. If they had been any good at that they would have run them out of town already.
