Some real effort to get "a GKP" payout.

They are holding it back and keeping it down, knowing that more money is needed, and they want in cheap on success.

CLN notes allowing them to short fully confident they can close easily.......

Remember GKP placing at 9p before it rose to 450p.........in the success case at Jade this may be very similar....... placing at 12p before the zoom upwards past 100p and more and more........

Patience thats all....if Jade is full to spill of oil, who cares where the share price is in the short term, in the long term its going up to over 200p and more with Topaz on top.

Topaz is is clearly dependent on success at Jade. Still lots to prove up with Jade - existence of oil is first, then the thickness of the zone and then flow rates etc. So we need all that data before thinking beyond. If Jade is successful, I would imagine they would fund raise on the back of that for Topaz - hopefully from existing shareholders only.

I only attended the 2018 AGM as I was interested at what was happening at Dempsey and was fortunate to have the day off so no time pressures. It was only at this meeting that China came onto my radar. Like many I have watched this China project for nearly 4 years and it often seemed we would never get to drill the prospect. We are now close to the pay zone but you at least understand this is a high risk business. That said, I would not be here if I felt the risks were horribly stacked against me so I am fairly confident of a favourable outcome. Kev

Either way, it seems way scary to take investment advice from either a former burnt newbie or someone who has been investing on AIM for 12 years and was a former burnt newbie. I was at that AGM as well. Gaz invited me to the pub, presumably after hearing a couple of questions I asked at the meeting. Sadly, despite really wanting to go and chat, particularly with him, I really should have been at a meeting and needed to get there before it finished. I suspect it would have led to me increasing my position even more.

It was at that meeting that TK, almost under his breath, said that he’d like to keep all three assets. There were a few here that were sitting near the front, including Toon, but I’ve not heard from anyone yet that they remember him doing so, but he absolutely did.

Indeed. Sufficient data needs to be available to even make a guesstimate at how factors affect the COS. If both airline pilots started drinking whisky during your flight, how much would the chances of a crash increase as each glass was consumed?

Kev, what’s your view on the likely way forward on funding Topaz and a guesstimate of the timescale?

Super field status. The Jade prospect has a GCA audited mean in place potential of 225 MMbbl and a P10 in place upside of 395 MMbbl. Four recent nearby discoveries by CNOOC immediately to the West of the Jade prospect are filled to their P10 potential or better. All four CNOOC discoveries have gas clouds showing in the overburden on seismic.Empyrean's excellent quality 3D seismic indicates that there is a classic "fill to spill" geological setup in the basin, and a robust regional seal, that provides the Jade and Topaz prospects with a very real possibility of being filled in a similar fashion to nearby discoveries.
