The Average True Range (ATR) is a Moving Averages of the true range.
A stock with a high Volatility will have a high ATR and vice versa. ATR is a volatility indicator and does not provide an indicator of price level direction.
Commonely used along side a Simple Moving Average.
Parameters: Period.
