06/8/2019 19:04 | Only guessing it is Burford, all will be revealed tomorrow morning. | sweet karolina2
06/8/2019 18:04 | I reckon Woody will walk away eventually or pushed, his a multi millionaire, 6m pound holiday house in Salcombe, Devon. No worries. | montyhedge
06/8/2019 18:01 | And the NAV is still over 81p buywell is of the opinion that all your huffing and puffing Is not going to blow woody's house down into the water WPCT remains above 40p IMO till the NAV drops below 80p | buywell3
06/8/2019 17:46 | ltcm1 I love these observations - like yours - that just go to the character of Woody. Super. | jl9
06/8/2019 17:25 | Specto - is that what he calls the 'Woodford commitment'??? It is ironic that when push came to shove, Woodford showed no patience and did what every other sane investor does and ran for the small door in the corner marked 'EXIT'. | ltcm1
06/8/2019 17:04 | jonwig has taken a massive beating on his main shareholding, BUR. The constant ramping of a pretty disreputable share has NOT done him any good. You should stick to trolling, mate. It's more true to your nature and skills! | brianarthur1939
06/8/2019 16:41 | @ltcm1 - IMO he saw WPCT as the best thing to sell, which is surprising considering how bad it would look if it ever leaked out that he'd sold. Which it did, and it does. I still can't see any other manager wanting to take on "Woody's wonders", though since the funding commitments are on WIM, would a new manager automatically have extricated WPCT from them? The overdraft, that's another matter. The Board remind me of the Equitable Life board, and I hope they've got insurance. [@topvest - legislation or a big case lost? You'd think even Woody bailing out wouldn't hit it so hard. Seen nothing here.] | spectoacc
06/8/2019 16:40 | Something nasty looks like it’s hitting Burford, Woody’s only successful holding in the last few years. Looks like a bear attack on the stock. | topvest
06/8/2019 16:35 | My gut tells me this wasn't about money in any shape or form. Maybe someone wants to ram down the WPCT price so it can be taken private quickly??? | ltcm1
06/8/2019 16:24 | 6.5m is the holiday home @daffy - 14m is the land the equestrian complex is on (& main residence?). Source: The Guardian. Woody only slotted 60% of his WPCT holding, but remember that was nearly 4 weeks ago, ie well before possible WPCT board bust-up. Says all you need to know about the Not Asset Value IMO. | spectoacc
06/8/2019 16:14 | Can't see why he would need a mortgage on a £6.5million house when he took home £24 million in dividends from WIM last year alone. | daffyjones
06/8/2019 15:48 | Buywell3, you sound like a smart man. I am currently looking for a partner to help me buy a bridge in Brooklyn. You can get 50% of the bridge for only £100,000. It's the bargain of the century! | biggest bill
06/8/2019 15:11 | It says Trust PLC Net Asset Value See trust 81.28p ... Trust Net Asset Value ... is what it says If anybody says any different .... speak or forever hold their piece. | buywell3
06/8/2019 14:58 | Anyone know his address? Main residence, not the 6.3m holiday home. Has been mentioned in a few articles I'm sure. | spectoacc
06/8/2019 14:50 | NW has a mortgage ? hahahahahahaha do us all a favour | 1oughton
06/8/2019 14:45 | What no pictures?... | diku
06/8/2019 14:43 | The reason for NW's sale of WPCT was tax and other needs. My guess would be huge mortgage (perhaps like Mr Newman) repayment of which was predicated on astronomical success with WIM. Do you think it also possible that he was geared with his holdings? We are to assume that both NW and Mr Newman can see that the future is not bright with WIM and they had better get their loans reduced. | solomon
06/8/2019 14:37 | for his upcoming divorce :-))))) - if she had any sense | 1oughton
06/8/2019 13:56 | What was the real reason why Woodford sold his WPCT stake??? | ltcm1
06/8/2019 13:34 | WPCT removed from Money Observer's Rated Funds list. Woody's failure to disclose his sale of over half his stake was the last straw. | daffyjones
06/8/2019 09:54 | It clearly appears that buywell3 does ! | masurenguy
06/8/2019 09:22 | Does anyone believe the NAV! | tim 3
06/8/2019 09:19 | New ALT - the claimed NAV of 80p cannot be verified ! | masurenguy |
