@ltcm1 - "...Or a really awful situation where he pushes back these sale dates and bluffs his way onwards somehow, citing a lack of liquidity in the markets for example."

Exactly what I said when he first gated, and again when "December reopening" was quoted. Will be "Brexit/market conditions/nearly there" as reason for not having quite yet sold the unlisteds, to remain gated, and to - oops - keep taking the fees into 2020.

Confirmation that the unicorns aren't unicorns is the end for both WPCT & WEIF IMO. Though perhaps someone really will pay up for Industrial Heat? (lol)

This is pete's first post this morning. The man's an ACE INVESTOR!

I bought a nice little wodge at just under 63p this morning on the basis that the shorters would probably close having feasted a bit. I don't know whether they have or not, but I am content anyway. What you amateur trolls call "averaging down", I call "buying on weakness".

In the longer term I shall make a lot of money on WPCT. You silly pompous little trolls, (like you spectoacc!) currently creaming your pants, won't.

I think that's very funny. LOL

P.S. There'll be storms on the way, no doubt about that, and you can indulge in your short-term gloats then, naturally.

Well, Littleweed, I could gloat about my short from an average of 61p, but that’s not my style. But I will call out cretins when I see them - and in this case, two for the price of one: you and this Peter Pict fellow.

Could it be that you have opened Pandora’s box, Tom? Did you give jonwig a little peek too? Maybe that explains a lot.

Did either of you know Jeffrey Epstein? He liked to share.

Autolus now 9.79 down 13.59%

Prothena a new low 8.36 down 2.79%

jonwig I fear you might be right.

Can anyone believe there are people out there paying 45p a share for WPCT??? This is 45p for a quantity of air!

What are you getting for your 45p right now? Two years ago there did seem hope for the likes of Benchmark, Xeros, ALM to an extent, there was AJ Bell, Prothena, Autolus plus a few others like Purplebricks and that virtual reality one.

But now what are you getting for your money? The failed, the fantastical and the frankly bonkers. It's a motley ragbag of the couda, shouda and wouda.

I think the best way to sum up WPCT is it's a Pandora's box.

@ ltcm1 - I think he's emotionally incapable of admitting error and, of course, he no longer gives interviews.

Some people find it relatively painless to "fess up", and move on. (I think I'm one.) Many others can't - you find lots of these in politics.

So when are Woodford's unlisted firesales to be held???

Will they be end Sept early Oct say, with Woodford subsequently admitting defeat as regards his quest to pivot to miracle making liquid stocks.

I see a less bad ending where Woodford admits his mistakes and departs fund management, or a really awful situation where he pushes back these sale dates and bluffs his way onwards somehow, citing a lack of liquidity in the markets for example.

It will be a sad day if Woody ends up a farcical character spouting rubbish, but then there are those who feel that has been the case for some time anyway.

buywell has already also hypothesized that should woodwood walk or fall on his sword

This could rise like the phoenix from Harry Potter

The only thing not so good is that NAV is now below 80p

So 45p is going IMO to get harder to hold on to tomorrow and the rest of the week

FAO buywell3 and careful:

The Woodford problem

As if this was not enough, Autolus faces the broader question of its haemorrhaging share price. This is largely the result of the company counting among its top investors the beleaguered UK financier Neil Woodford’s Patient Capital Trust.

Mr Woodford’s investment empire faces the threat of collapse after his flagship Equity Income Fund was frozen following a surge in demands from clients to withdraw their money. An across-the-board fire sale of Woodford investee companies is feared to allow the fund to meet redemptions when it eventually reopens.

As such, other investors in Woodford-owned companies like Autolus have likely been cutting their positions before Mr Woodford’s own sales drove down the stock prices.

So, like Prothena where decent money was made and now AUTL, an inability to see or use the value of the available liquidity.

It’s all well saying that they have made money on these two positions from initial purchase (not sure that remains true, but would have to check and I cannot be bothered as the whole thing is stuffed anyway), but not having leverage in either WEIF or WPCT would have had tremendous utility.

This could rise to say 70p. TA suggests it might be today

buywell2 - 23 Jun 2019 - 8425 of 9239
So chartwise WPCT has managed to get back above 55p which is important
Further decline in the share price of WPCT from current levels is NOT supported by the Chart ie the market.

And for all your deramping efforts WPCT stubbornly remains at 55p. You guys must be very cross

buywell2 - 08 Jul 2019 - 8802 of 9239
What I think buywell is trying to say is that all of the doomsayers here have thus far been wrong and the market sees WPCT as worth around 55p

buywell2 - 08 Jul 2019 - 8784 of 9239

WPCT had about 2.5% weighting in Benchmark a couple of years back, it seemed an interesting company in that they were a big player in their field. It did seem different to his usual picks but the result has been the same.

Amazed you don't all have buywell 1/2/3 filtered!

Benchmark - Invesco 15%, WIM none, from their website.

Still don't know what FTSE100 punts Woody has bought into in WEIF. May or may not show up in his Top10, which will have the "old" price for BUR.

Benchmark holdings down 30% this morning. Used to be a large Woodford holiding but I think he had to sell out earlier this year. Invesco still have about 15% I think.
