16/12/2021 19:22 | I thought the results were ok but nothing special. At least the divi is up. I wasn't too impressed with the outlook. I just wish they'd sell it. £3.7bn aum has to be worth a good deal more than £15m to an acquirer surely. | arthur_lame_stocks
16/12/2021 12:43 | Interest rate rises will also start to help into 2022........ | chrisdgb

16/12/2021 11:01 | Yep mcap 15, cash £8m. Unfortunately too small and no liquidity so share price seems destined to stay in its channel. Given this I'd like to see the cash distributed or put to work | baddeal
16/12/2021 08:27 | They look excellent, this is so cheap on so many metrics, net assets £22m/net cash over £8m/AUM rising and all for £15m...?? | chrisdgb
16/12/2021 07:42 | Hmmm maybe related to today's half year results, which look ok to my untrained eye. Any other views on today's news? | paulboz
15/12/2021 12:28 | Unable to buy more of these with Barclays at the moment.... | paulboz
13/12/2021 17:58 | I think they're just going to go for every Thursday until they arrive. | arthur_lame_stocks
13/12/2021 15:24 | Well Morningstar now says: "Half-Yearly Results Unconfirmed 16/12/2021" | value hound
12/12/2021 12:47 | I wonder if we'll get the results this week. | arthur_lame_stocks
10/12/2021 12:59 | Looks like the Interims are about to drop? | gbenson1
07/12/2021 16:27 | OK good spot cheers....... | chrisdgb
07/12/2021 09:32 | According to Morningstar, the interims should be on Thursday - but it's down as "unconfirmed". | value hound
07/12/2021 09:01 | Nice to see consolidation in the sector, wonder if anyone has run the rule over WCW? Could be the reason the interims are later than last year!! | gbenson1
07/12/2021 07:52 | There's an interesting announcement today. Liontrust, the specialist independent fund management group, today announces that it has entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement (the "SPA") with founder shareholders (the "Founders") to purchase (the "Proposed Acquisition") the entire issued share capital of Majedie Asset Management Limited ("Majedie") for a total consideration of up to £120 million (the "Consideration"). Majedie is a well-established, UK-based asset management firm with a long-term pedigree in Institutional fund management, an area of increasing strategic focus for Liontrust. Majedie's assets under management and advice ("AuMA") as at 30 November 2021 were £5.8 billion1. Rob Harris, Chief Executive Officer of Majedie, will join Liontrust as Head of Global Institutional Business. Not a direct comparitor to WCW but it gives an idea of the sums being paid for assets. | arthur_lame_stocks
06/12/2021 17:51 | The interims are normally out on the 27th November. I wonder why they're late this year? | arthur_lame_stocks
03/12/2021 08:17 | Are we due some results...? | chrisdgb
23/11/2021 23:06 | All "assets under management" are not created equal | spob
23/11/2021 10:41 | Although it's worth noting that Barker Poland is not performing as well as might be expected, When the acquisition was announced in 2015 they quoted £1.5m of revenue in the year ended March 2014. Given their income is related to AUM, and given what markets have done in the last 7.5 years you would expect, income to be up more than 25%, and that's before any new clients | davydoo
23/11/2021 10:36 | Unable to buy online this morning,20k buy at 8-05 may have cleared a line of stock. | balcony
23/11/2021 10:16 | They should make a lot more than they do. Look at Barker Poland results that have more prominence within this years annual report than previously. c. £320m AUM, £1.9m revenue and £400k profit Similar to lots of firms of that smaller scale. Multiply that up to the £3.5bn total, or just take the margin, and group profits should be much higher | davydoo
23/11/2021 09:10 | Why don'y they make more profits? A matter of scale? The AUM are significant, but is is a lot of that non-revenue generating, sat in share dealing accounts or similar? | eezymunny
23/11/2021 08:58 | Wish they'd stop pretending they are a fintech though, huge distraction of time and resources from a company without sufficient scale to do so | davydoo
22/11/2021 17:45 | Hi all It's nice to see some value investors here. I think we all agree that this is cheap, now all we have to do is accumulate whilst it remains so and wait for the value to out, hopefully in a trade sale/takeover for a whopping premium. | arthur_lame_stocks |
