25/3/2020 16:34 | no trading update? this could be a risky bet | itsnotmeitsy0u
27/2/2019 20:47 | Briefly bought some of these a few months back, but decided it was a poor decision and unwound the position and break-evenish. Phew! If you want a value wealth manager that is struggling, but with much better potential, Charles Stanley ticks most of the boxes! | topvest
27/2/2019 16:17 | I have used them on/off for a long time and they were the first broker I ever had Their phone commission is passable but their internet platform is awful, expensive and out of date> Certainly early mornings it never worked and I doubt that has changed though i haven't tried for a long time It needs to modernise it's software and systems certainly NA work To sell shares I think the lowest is about £17.50 and that because they charge a £5 fee extra on each transaction I pay a fiver for net transactions so no competition plus I never rely on only one broker | ntv
20/9/2018 11:31 | Lim Hua Min, non-executive director, has purchased another 330k shares over the last week raising his connected party stake to nearly a quarter of issued share capital. Quite a vote of confidence. | ronin92
20/8/2018 09:02 | That would be very nice. | hvs
17/8/2018 19:34 | I doubt they do want to retain independence - massive economies of scale - they are too small. Dip to me looks a touch suspicious - offer coming ? | rjmahan
17/8/2018 16:38 | Lets see what happens. Definitely very undervalued. | hvs
17/8/2018 16:25 | I've had cold feet over these and sold out today at break-even. Definitely lots of value on offer. Results were disappointing overall and outlook vague. A very cheap company though and crying out to be acquired by a big boy like Brewin Dolphin or Charles Stanley at a much higher share price (probably £1 or so). Good luck to those that remain, but think they want to retain independence. | topvest
17/8/2018 10:56 | Agree with you. Good share to have and nice to see the uptick. | hvs
16/8/2018 21:15 | Nice to see this bounce back a little. Dividend to come soon as well. | topvest
16/8/2018 13:38 | Thank you. Hope you have tucked away a few yourself. Good luck. | hvs
16/8/2018 13:35 | No problem fella my pleasure - rest assured the whole article is distinctively upbeat and remember, when ST covers a stock he tends to revisit it at some point in the future | mirabeau
16/8/2018 13:32 | Buys going through. Good for share price | hvs
16/8/2018 13:10 | Mirabeau, Thank you very much. You are a gent. I have a big holding here. Hoping for good things to happen. | hvs
16/8/2018 13:07 | hvs I'll post the main header fella but not the full article - copyright - 'Walker Crips targets fintech to boost profits' edit...... this is ST's conclusion :- 'Ultimately, the catalyst for a long awaited re-rating – the company’s market value of £15.8m is well below net asset value of £22m – will be when evidence emerges that it can get profits and margins moving. If this is achieved then there should be significant upside given that a business making operating profits of £0.9m is effectively being valued at only £5.6m after stripping out net funds from Walker Crips’ market capitalisation.' | mirabeau
16/8/2018 12:59 | Mirabeau would be nice if you could post the comments. Thank you. | hvs
16/8/2018 12:57 | Ahhhh, understood, thanks for the heads up....would be nice to finally work through the Miton stock. | chrisdgb
16/8/2018 12:48 | Tipped by ST in IC | mirabeau
16/8/2018 12:44 | Bouncing............ | chrisdgb
10/8/2018 13:09 | Even cheaper today. Will the Directors buy some more? | topvest
01/8/2018 08:07 | Looks fine to me, a lot of wealth management companies had to face higher regulatory/IT costs and with suitability try to get rid of some of the rubbish low margin accounts....it remains an incredibly cheap stock, what will be the catalyst..? | chrisdgb
31/7/2018 17:05 | “Steady” results is what they say, which can otherwise be translated to mean slightly disappointing. Delay in results appears to have been caused by some relatively minor prior year restatements by the looks of things. Seem to be a bit prone to minor restatements which is not great from a financial control perspective. I guess these results were priced in as the share price had reduced in expectation of a flat year. Nothing very positive and nothing very negative. Definitely a value stock with a 5% yield. Difficult to see the value being unlocked, unless they can speed up the revenue growth or do a transaction. Super cheap though for a £30m turnover and c£1m profit wealth management business. To a bidder it would be worth £1 or so in my view. What do others think? It does look like they have now largely tackled the regulatory, system changes and office moves so they can hopefully focus on their strategy in the current year. Let’s see if directors buy a few more. | topvest |
