I don't think 20k shares is enough to get excited about and i've not seen anything in the press but yes it's nice to see a tick up in the price.

I've just been looking back at Barker Poland acquisition and latest accounts (another set due soon)

They represent c.6% of total revenue, but WCW paid c.33% of the current market cap to buy them.

Markets have risen substantially since the acquisition but Profits have fallen, unless perhaps they are paying towards a central management cost now

Yes, it has been outrageously cheap for a long time, just the multiple on AUM is derisory......as you say interest rates will really help..

I've started buying here. It's essentially trading at the value of its cash, but at least that cash will start earning some interest now.

It feels a rather disparate group of businesses, so I think there is value in both being acquired or broken up.

Interesting to see how helpful the interest rate rises have (will) be for hargreaves lansdown today and arbuthnot last week, should be a nice support here....

Rumoured bid for Quilter today by Natwest only highlights the attractions of this consolidating sector......

A couple of Fund Managers reported some pretty shocking falls in AUM today. I know WCW isn't a fund manager but it's a similar business I guess.

I wonder what our current AUM looks like?

Is that the Investment Manager selling the company's own shares? Hardly seems like a vote of confidence to me.

Obviously WHI have the corporate bit which is always tricky to value but it will once again highlight the WCW Board need to do something.......

I think they should have sold the company to a larger player. There's been loads of deals in this space for significant sums but the opportunity may have passed for now.
