31/8/2023 09:07 | dp, add those going bust and others taking their listing to the US to the takeover total! Uk market is so dysfunctional it might as well close down. | bamboo2
31/8/2023 08:56 | There are only 1900 listed companies left in the U.K. and we seem to be getting multiple takeovers every week (at least 2 yesterday). I'd have thought VLX are absolutely in the sweet spot, and expect to wake up to an RNS announcement that it's all been agreed at £5.50/6In the meantime we should get confirmation soon that the Turkish deal has all completed | donald pond
31/8/2023 08:31 | Level 2 looking very decent at the moment. Icebergs at 330p and 400p have disappeared, for now. Could be a nice run to 400p plus over coming months! | johndoe23
28/8/2023 15:12 | Could be a big market for cables company like VLX.. India considers tax breaks for electric vehicles.” EVs account for just 1% of annual vehicle sales currently, but the government is targeting a market share of 30% by 2030. | igoe104
24/8/2023 20:14 | Ijamlon - Sounds like you want jam on both sides of your bread! I think VLX probably fills the bill quite well for EV. On the data centres there are a number of options but one that is probably not too expensive atm is RCN because it has recently acquired a company that had not hedged its electricity requirements, so given that cost and the inevitable amortisations that follow a takeover, it is showing a statutory loss. However, the prospects for the current year (FY2024) are better and for 2025 look positively good. For good measure you could add in CNIC, a play on internet traffic - domain management and monetisation of intelligence data acquired from traffic analysis (I think - it's all a bit technical for my brain!). On its cash flow figures it looks uncommonly good value but statutory profit is impacted again by the non-cash write down of acquired intangibles. Apologies to others for veering o/t. | boadicea
24/8/2023 12:11 | If only there was a UK stock to buy that benefits from the massive growth in both data centres and EV | ijamlon
16/8/2023 07:21 | Bloomberg - HSBC raised its Volex price target to 510p from 400pThe broker says recent confirmation that the firm is a licensed charging system partner of Tesla "adds to the theme of high momentum in EV."The choice of Volex as a global manufacturer of NACS couplers comes as the US charging infrastructure moves closer to adopting Tesla's EV charging standard, analyst Stephan Klepp (buy) writes in noteNotes Volex has also won clearance to acquire Murat Ticaret, a maker of wire harnesses, in a second bit of good news"In our view, Volex has continued to execute above expectations, and its loss of premium growth valuation is unjustified" | ijamlon
14/8/2023 16:56 | I'd prefer no buy out to get max value out of time. This is my biggest holding | acefromspace
14/8/2023 16:49 | Couple of pieces of important news recently and market clearly liking this, showing a bit of strength in weaker markets too. Tidy looking chart with a bit of volume behind it, reckon this is starting to accumulate again. Decent business and well executed. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | owenski
14/8/2023 16:33 | I guess it would be up to Nat to decide when he wants to do something else. Decent rise today though, its now one of my better performers this year, and also in my top 3 holdings. | dr biotech
