Certainly looks like a large gap opened up toward £4/5 level. Plus two complementary screens on Stocko, including O' Shaugnessy Cornerstone growth and Charles Kirkpatrick Bargain screen.

Chartwise it looks like a breakout, a backtested that included the fill of yesterdays gap up and then an extremely positive reaction. I honestly think this looks like the start of a big, sustainable uptrend

ali - VLX share price went up on no news... and when there was some good news, it did nothing (went down a bit).

Sooooooo, it seems some people knew the good news beforehand and bought. Then, when the good news was actually released (yesterday), the folk who knew already, sold and made some quick money.

That's the reasoning...

For me, I'm just pleased my biggest holding is totally on the right track.

Has anyone seen any analyst forecasts that include the acquisition? Says mid-teen earning enhancing in first full year, with the placing increasing share count by c13%

When you look at the chart and the RNS release it's so blatantly been front run. The controls on insider dealing are unbelievably weak in the U.K. Just two convictions in the whole UK in last 5 years. Embarrassing. It's not helpful as it paints an inaccurate picture of news / price reaction for market watchers. Nevertheless, once the dust settles here, I will be very surprised if we don't push higher over the coming weeks.

Pretty sure some person/people knew about this a couple of days ago, the news is positive so no reason for a slump - as there wasn't much reason for a rise over the previous few sessions. VLX have previously been tight with their info, but of course there are several parties involved here.

Still it all helps going forwards.

You get the insiders who bought last week and are selling the news for a few percent. They will quickly be cleared out. It's a very positive fundamental story: the newsflow has caught up with the hype that drove the share price to £5 two years ago (too soon and before Ukraine and inflation). Volex are now a key part of the supply chain in the biggest transport growth trend of our lifetimes, with the ability to deliver at scale thanks to smart acquisitions. Already up 25% this year, a price close above 325 in coming days could be the start of a much more substantial trend imo.

They must be some desperate folks around to sell these at this level. EV cables Data centres cables are going to be in massive demand over the next decade.

General rule is that retail trade in the first hour and institutions do their work later. Looks clear to me that VLX are doing everything right at the moment and are in a sector with big growth potential so happy to accumulate

These potentially big deals can cause excitement but often do more for volume than for profit due to tight oem margins. However, the aftermarket can prove more profitable.

Alot of charging cables will be needed in USA and Canada. Plus lots of cables needed for Data centres boom, for AI..

These should do extremely well over the coming years.
