21/12/2017 11:47 | Two possible technical plays here. The share price continues to the Flag support around 45p. Or finds support around 53p and breaks the flag resistance. | john henry
21/12/2017 11:36 | Think if I'd been short from 70/80 I'd be closing today. | tini5
21/12/2017 11:30 | lol jh, hopefully there won't be any breakdowns on here IF that does happen, depends when the shorts lose their nerve or feel uncomfortable. Interesting the US tax reforms passed , lots of money will pour back into the pockets over there. | luckyorange
21/12/2017 11:30 | I think LM and the shorters have called the sentiment switch in VRS spot on. I guess he knew but took the risk if NR and VRS didnt deliver another contract as had been built into the share price then the share price would take a beating.. | john henry
21/12/2017 11:25 | Thabk you Vasilis, Superg1 and others clarifying the questionable aspects of Directa products that their bike tyre customer appears to think is real graphene, but sounds like isn't. Yesterday I came across some reference to '2-8'layer' in their descriptions, but I couldn't find it again to check 'layers of what'. But having googled 2-8 layer Directa just now, I see that someone called Margy Robinson has blogged an explanatory assessment which - as she says - does not equate to actual graphene. (half way down page) Unfortunately, with so many past uses of the word graphene across the internet over several years, the fact that almost all do not meet the ISO standard published in September, means that the mis-applied terminolgy is going to continue circulating for years. Customers like Vittoria are not going to enjoy being told that their belief they are using graphene is illfounded. | grabster
21/12/2017 11:22 | A clear pattern can be seen on the JC charts. a 4-5 day period of consolidation followed by a breakdown. | john henry
21/12/2017 11:20 | from a year ago the share price is up about 400% gla and wait | saturn5
21/12/2017 11:15 | surely the point is a ceo shouldn't suggest anything either true or otherwise if he wants to be respected in the future.thats the point of an rns anyway merry xmas | mj10
21/12/2017 11:05 | ridicule...great post..finally some reasoned sanity. | phoenixs
21/12/2017 11:00 | Well said Rid Obviously I'm far more confident than many due to my vast pot of info built up. There is no way the CEO would do that unless things were imminent, BUT as he and others always say the final hurdle is generally beyond their control. Final signatures can take days, weeks or months, you can only guess on go on guidance from those at the other end. When it comes to ranges on the SPs in and out it's a pointless argument. nation can think Ohhh I wish I'd sold all in the 80's and now I could have bought in the 50s It can't be done in numbers. Eg if someone had sold out entirely at the top where would they have called the entry point while expecting news and getting a large holding back with big news and the herd arriving is nigh on impossible It's pointless thinking it can be done for the larger investments which in some individual cases runs into millions of shares. Those larger holders have done their research. | superg1
21/12/2017 10:53 | well said bones and likewise greetings to all here. | ashtree2
21/12/2017 10:48 | Bought more as it seems reasonable avg. up point, each to their own. | ashehzi
21/12/2017 10:45 | All this advent calendar stuff is childish. We got two big deals in that space so there has hardly been disappointment. What it does when the punters sell on this "disappointment" is create a decent price to top up at. This is a serious business that will grow over years, not in a 24 day period before Christmas. I will continue to invest on that basis. As I am not a regular on the day to day chat here, I'll wish all VRS investors the greatest Christmas and a Happy 2018 (and beyond) for VRS (plus all my other shares)! | bones
21/12/2017 10:45 | very low volume and if you believe buy on dips an rns cannot be issued at will. | ashtree2
21/12/2017 10:42 | Good post ridicule agree 100%! | mctavishscot
21/12/2017 10:42 | Grantley Swings and roundabouts there. It created some hangers on that are not true investors and clears them out before actual news comes along. It's just matter of time until £1 and beyond kicks in due to everything in the pipeline. Last signatures are the key and this time of year I imagine it's not easy to pull everyone together. | superg1
21/12/2017 10:39 | By looking at purchase prices, bids and asks, it seems some big numbers are being bought by those who were waiting for this retrace to enter/re-enter. Not a bad move, smart one rather. | ashehzi
21/12/2017 10:39 | JR and Grantley. My point is exactly the point that both of you are making. This share is falling on anticipated news not happening but, given the news we do know, the share price should not be this weak based on the disappointment that a metaphorical Advent Calender has not been opened in the last week! Value investing should be based on analysis, not Christmas treats? Clearly, NR was hoping(expecting) something to break before Christmas and who knows what tomorrow might bring? What we already know, however, should place this Company at a £100m + market cap. This should be the criteria governing whether to hold or sell, not some short term 'Advent' event, that will almost certainly happen in the New Year in any event. As Harold MacMillan once said. "Events dear boy, Events." | ridicule
21/12/2017 10:25 | G+ No data sheets but a corporate presentation describes the pristine end as 'While the thickness is below 3-5 nm' So that is in the 9-15 layer range so in that can nothing that have will fit the ISO standard recently out. Elsewhere the best was mentioned as a few nm, much of what they do is higher layer. This isn't news to me but someone raised it I've known about them and lack of real data for some time. | superg1
21/12/2017 10:23 | Being quoted 55.6 to sell, 56.5 to buy. Spread is much tighter than advertised. | tini5
21/12/2017 10:17 | Agree with JH re the tweets from JR. Nothing was promised but certainly was indicated and to some extent took focus away from what has been achieved. Better to have indicated nothing. | grantley
21/12/2017 10:06 | I know there has been. lot of chat here recently re tax free options and how do isas work etc VCTs are an option too. | superg1
21/12/2017 10:02 | On the G+ bit the news doesn't help EG it has received an order from Vittoria to supply 250 kilos of the Company's Graphene Plus (G+) for incorporation into Vittoria's range of graphene-enhanced bicycle tyres and wheels. Graphene plus G+ They Don't say which one but call them graphene based Under our G+ brand, we offer a range of graphene-based products – either ready-to-use or custom-blended to meet specific technical requirements. They have BASIC G+ ULTRA G+ LIQUID G+ PURE G+ ZAPP G+ PASTE G+ DUB-MASTERPLAST G+ BASIC G+ Super-expanded, accordion-like, graphitic products, derived from natural intercalated graphite No technical data sheets at all but that one is clearly graphite as stated | superg1
21/12/2017 10:00 | Ridicule N Ricketts implied on Tweeter the the Advent calendar wasnt finished with. Almost 3 weeks later and Xmas, nothing delivered. Hence the constant daily red since. The RSI is back to levels seen in early October, so you can see how weak the share has been this month. | john henry |
