08/1/2020 18:08 | Mike Just to clarify re There is no borrow point. No there are not any funds to loan stock from but the SB companies do it. Eg Using IG as an example. IG typically allow share holdings to go up to under 3%, they don't want to go beyond notifiable holdings. So if you have investors long on IG will allow a percentage of the stock to go out on loan for shorting. They won't loan out all the stock because of they did every time a long closed a position it would automatically force a short to close. So if by a million to one coincidence every long closed on IG then at the same time every person short would be forced to close automatically. Hence overall there isn't a lot of stock available to short VRS. | superg1
08/1/2020 18:05 | By way of an update, I finally got sent some information regarding Loggy’s business success. I’ve been reliably informed from my contacts in the Isle of Man that he did indeed get promoted from the kitchen to a bar manager role in a renowned pizza restaurant on the island. I’ve been promised photos of him proudly displaying his smart new badge to Madge on the tills. There was however another rumour, suggesting he ended up drinking all the profits, but that’s just malicious rumour mongering from Lucien, Tom and Shak after they were served a very disappointing large vegetarian pizza. Some mates they are😲 Good luck to him I say. It’s great for him to take such pride in the role. The restaurants not open during the day, hence the reason he has so much time to post on here. | schmally

08/1/2020 17:55 | Another solid announcement from DCTA - their graphene enhanced asphalt is going to be trialled on a taxiway at Rome's pricipal airport Fiumicino. A genuine serious trial - not a vague 'collaboration'. First Trial of Graphene Enhanced Asphalt at an International Airport Directa Plus (AIM: DCTA), a producer and supplier of graphene-based products for use in consumer and industrial markets, and its partner Iterchimica, an Italian based world leader in products that enhance asphalt performance, are pleased to announce the world's first trial of graphene enhanced asphalt at an international airport. The six month trial will take place at Rome's Fiumicino airport on taxiway Alpha Alpha, a high traffic taxiway used for class E and F intercontinental aircraft such as Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s. Rome Fiumicino Airport (also known as Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport) is Italy's busiest airport with some 43 million passengers handled in 2018, of which 31.5 million originated from abroad. Total aircraft movements for 2018 amounted to 307,736. The project will use the asphalt additive Gipave, developed by Directa Plus and Iterchimica, containing the Company's G+ graphene and will be in collaboration with G.ECO S.r.l., part of Italy's largest multi-utility company Gruppo A2A, and the University of Milan-Bicocca. Gipave is the result of a three-year research programme with a patent filed in 2017. In an initial trial in Italy, Gipave was confirmed as providing significant benefits compared to traditional asphalt in all areas tested: service life, resistance to the passage of vehicles, resistance to deformation and permanent plastic deformation. In addition, once laid, asphalt with Gipave can be 100 per cent recycled, which can reduce the extraction of new materials from quarries and first-use bitumen. Gipave is currently being tested in the UK in Oxfordshire with the co-operation of Oxfordshire County Council and the prime contractor, Skanska AB. Commenting, Giulio Cesareo, Founder and CEO of Directa Plus, said: "The Gipave trial at Fiumicino airport potentially opens a large new market for us. Taxiways are high traffic, high stress areas and we hope to demonstrate that the use of a graphene-based additive will improve performance, life and sustainability." "Gipave is another example of our strategy to offer value-added solutions to existing markets, rather than waiting for future graphene markets to develop over what could well be the long term." Federica Giannattasio, Iterchimica CEO, added: "Gipave is our latest patented innovation, created through collaboration with G.Eco (part of Gruppo A2A), Milano Bicocca University and Directa Plus. This is world leading Italian technology to create high-tech (graphene), green (recycled plastics, milled and reusable pavements) and highly resistant road surfaces. We believe that Gipave will also be a successful technological innovation for both maintenance and new works in airports, providing significant environmental and financial benefits." | terry topper
08/1/2020 17:41 | Pierre Oreilly, 2 Jan '20 on Ceres Power thread: "I hope no one was tempted to switch by the grapheme co tip [Versarien]. 10percent loss for those who did. Probably be more fruitful pointing out the advantages of cwr on the grapheme threads." Make up your own mind! | turbocharge

08/1/2020 17:01 | Fellow Versarien s . Every time you engage with a troll it’s brings their nonsense to top of the boards page . Which is exactly what they want !! Which then changes the dynamics of the message board . And genuine investors who offer freely good research and constructive conversation , then leave or do not contribute to the board as a result ,so it’s a no win situation for those of genuine interest in Vrs . And at some point we all realise that you can never win with them even when we are right . They only have one objective . So honestly just don’t engage With them , for all genuine investors benefit. Most of these have been trolling the Vrs board for years and I suspect other shares too in the same name or another . One commented recently he had been watching Vrs for 6 years back into the 10-15p days and not bought any as they don’t have potential. Why would anyone listen to someone like that Offering Great investment experience and opinions on Vrs. Honestly has anyone ever won a debate with a troll . They will just move onto to something else . Just ignore or filter them . atb Ff | forestfred
