08/1/2020 15:58 | "they are reporting him to the nomad" I should think so, disgusting american trick! I come down hard on it whenever I see it. What if he was asked to dinner with the Queen? Doesn't bear thinking about. | pshevlin
08/1/2020 15:47 | and we wait, thank the geek for the filter. | rovi70
08/1/2020 15:31 | iv'e just heard a scumbag has taken a photo of neill eating some food with the fork in his right hand instead of the left. they are reporting him to the nomad !!! | jointer13
08/1/2020 15:29 | Actually I have no idea if the transaction ever completed. Hopefully it has as it was given as the reason for a large share sale. | loglorry1
08/1/2020 15:26 | 'I can't find the apology anywhere though!!!' - apologies? on this board? Please note the '' - an extract from a previous post. I'll leave it there, but as you probably can tell I don't like being called a blatant liar :) | ad631
08/1/2020 15:22 | it just goes to show how pathetic these scumbags are. | jointer13
08/1/2020 15:15 | Has the charitable donation to build the Chemistry lab ever completed? | loglorry1
08/1/2020 14:45 | Tells you all you need to know about Messrs Log and Co. | melf
08/1/2020 14:45 | In case anyone can't get the link, here it is in black and white as tweeted by the school: "Hi Neill, we are very proud and pleased of the continuous support you give @WyedeanSchool as a former student & successful CEO. The plan for the lab couldn’t be completed last academic year and that was because of things like OFSTED happening in school in that academic year." ........I can't find the apology anywhere though!!! | melf
08/1/2020 14:33 | Loggy, Thanks for reminding me about a previous insinuation you made about Neill to try and cast doubt about his offer to fund a science lab for his old school. You implied it was all bulls*it and questioned why it wasn't built. I recall I provided you with the following link to evidence the offer of funding was genuine and the delays were down to the school and not Neill. However, I don't recall you ever apologising to Neill for insinuating he was being dishonest. It's never too late to say sorry mate! | schmally

08/1/2020 14:32 | I was interested to find out more regarding TfL’s plans for upgrading the Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan and District lines. The TfL Finance Committee met 18 Dec 2019: “3.9 Despite the further delay to the opening of the Elizabeth line, a subdued economy and an average £700m a year reduction in Government funding, TfL remains on track to generate an operating surplus by 2022/23, meaning that it will cover the cost of financing, maintaining, operating and renewing its transport network. This will help ensure it can manage debt and reduce borrowing levels. Throughout the plan period, significant investment will continue providing better, more frequent and accessible transport options. 3.10 This investment includes: (a) completing the signalling upgrade and increasing capacity by 33 per cent on the Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan and District lines, delivering refurbished trains on the Central line and new, spacious state-of-the-art trains on the Piccadilly line. TfL will also continue to make the case for Government investment to replace the life-expired signalling system on the Piccadilly line, which it had to pause last year owing to a lack of certainty around Government funding. It remains TfL’s intention to press ahead with this essential work as soon as funding is confirmed;” “We are transforming the Circle, District, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines. When the work is completed in 2023, increased capacity and boosted reliability will make journeys faster and more comfortable” “New signalling system Work to install a new signalling and control system began in summer 2016..... Similar technology introduced in recent years on the Jubilee and Northern lines improved performance. The new signalling system allows trains to be run closer together, meaning a more frequent service and shorter waiting times, allowing more people to be carried. This new technology will enable us to reduce delays and improve reliability.” “What are the oldest and newest Tube lines? The London Underground first opened in 1863 as the oldest section of underground railway in the world, running between Paddington (then known as Bishop’s Road) and Farringdon Street on what is now part of the Circle, Hammersmith and City and Metropolitan lines. The newest line to be built is the Jubilee Line, with the first section opening in 1979 and extending to the London Docklands in 1999.” “Research Guide No 13: A Brief History of the Northern Line The Northern Line serves 50 stations, is an amalgamation of three different railways and extensions and has no less than six branches. It began in 1890 as the first tube (deep level) railway, and has been extended at intervals in the succeeding 120 years.” 8th May 2015 “.. converting an existing line from conventional signalling to CBTC” (Communications Based Train Control) “can be a tortuous process and London Underground has experienced some challenges with such upgrades. The Jubilee line has had a history of problems ... subsequent deployment of the Thales Seltrac system encountered many problems before commissioning w “Thales is also the nominated supplier for the much- troubled upgrade plan to equip the Sub Surface Lines with CBTC systems. Although these too will use the Seltrac design, this time it will be radio-based so a technology change becomes necessary. A preliminary contract is enabling some testing work to be done at the Old Dalby test track where the new S Stock is undergoing commissioning trials. Assuming success, radio technology should set the scene for eventual conversion of the remaining London Underground lines to CBTC operation.” “These important future rail capabilities, and their connectivity needs have been captured and grouped in to four umbrella use-cases: Connected Devices Remote condition monitoring using hundreds of thousands of sensors will underpin a data enabled railway.... whilst significantly increasing infrastructure availability at a reduced cost. Connected Operations From in-cab signalling and driver voice communications, to trackside worker warning and enhancing level crossing safety. The common theme will be increasing rail infrastructure capacity through the delivery of exceptionally high levels of communications service integrity and network security in an affordable way. Connected Passengers Directly supporting Department for Transport’s WiFi on trains policy work stream; delivering the Internet connectivity needs of both passengers and Train Operating Company (TOC) staff and systems.... Connected Intervention ...Technology solutions enabling autonomous activities to safely access the infrastructure with little or no impact to an increasingly congested railway timetable”. On the last document there is a diagram showing a profusion of masts all over the place. As can be seen above, there has been a great many stages in the evolution of the masterplan which appears about to be realised and to have high TfL priority. | hoverflyman
08/1/2020 14:02 | Ooh look, there's only one verified producer. | tini5
08/1/2020 14:00 | Various detractors bandying the names of various putative competitors boasting sales of something graphene related. But it ain't actually graphene. The Graphene Council has been running its Verified Producer programme this past year. Within that page is a link to the Register of those companies that have qualified so far. None of the supposed rivals mentioned are listed there. Versarien is, so far, the only one. Qualified last year. Nine months on and nobody else has qualified. (The Graphene Council is the largest community in the world for graphene researchers, academics, producers, developers, investors, nanotechnologists, regulatory agencies, research institutes, material science specialists) | grabster
08/1/2020 13:58 | Got some money through today, few years till I retire thinking buy some and join the fun. Hopefully fun of making money not losing it which would be no fun at all. | kendow2
08/1/2020 13:53 | Liquidity seems to be drying up here despite the stated positions of the market makers in offering 10k lots. I tried to buy 2k a short while ago but it went to negotiated trade, so I then tried for 1500 with the same result. Finally I got an acceptance on 1k, so I ended up buying 2 x 1k tranches. | the skipper
08/1/2020 13:52 | Catching on on your posts Pierre. No serious investor imo should pop onto an advfn asking random unknown individuals the details on whether to invest or not. My advice is start with some of the various science papers and the uk graphene experts. Then you will be able to spot the BS in the wider graphene market. If you can’t be bothered to do that then read the few posts on the lol thread which explain the difference between few layer graphene and the graphite junk being called graphene out there. If you can’t be bothered to do that, then pay someone to do it for you. | superg1

08/1/2020 13:44 | "Your record collection needs changing." so does Ricketts' - the one labelled 'Failure' and 'Non-delivery'... | club sandwich
08/1/2020 13:39 | Neill sold some options, reasons were given, shareholders weren't bothered. Your record collection needs changing. | tini5
08/1/2020 13:28 | probably a good time for management to buy shares but no on Sept 19th 2019 the CEO sold $3.9m of shares. What was he thinking ? Neill not alone then in selling his shares while espousing the enormous potential of graphene then? Worth pointing out that NanoX has a market cap of around £80m nearly £100m less than VRS but has sales ~8x higher. They've also got funding for a 10,000 ton/yr plant to bring down the cost of graphene production to around $5/kg. Their tech sheets are very similar to Nanene. Quite interesting that they claim there process uses only environmentally safe materials which means that their customers are happier to buy their products. | loglorry1
08/1/2020 13:22 | Recap - my original post:'but there's also what looks like plenty of price sensitive info in there' - not bothered myself (RNS' / podcasts / Official Twitter for me) but please feel free as you are so keen, to post the price sensitive info on here that relates to the above so that everyone knows - thanks in advance.... Please note that: 'but there's also what looks like plenty of price sensitive info in there' - is an extract from a previous posters contribution. Not sure what MY lie is - Log read the post correctly. I've not seen any price sensitive information and I can't really see how you deduced this. | ad631 |
