24/12/2019 21:39 | MB - if you keep on ceding the market you don't want in order to concentrate on the market you do want, at best you end up owning the market that nobody else wants. Good luck with that. A new decade starts, and time will tell, as always... Best wishes for 2020 to all the good guys/dolls. For those who are waiting for the 7th-year 'Christmas', just bear in mind Nassim Taleb's warning: 'In the months before Thanksgiving, turkeys begin to build up a theory about mankind. Man is benevolent. Every day he appears with more food, and the turkey is allowed to get fatter and fatter. And then, about a week before Thanksgiving, the turkey incurs a reversion of belief.' | ![]() supernumerary
24/12/2019 19:43 | Grabster it's 6th element who are providing the graphene to Huawei ... all good as all they do is multi layer (10-300 layers) - let them build the market ... multi layer has its value. When 2D graphene is ready it will bring much greater benefits - in the meantime let's hope they don't market the phone in western countries claiming they have a "graphene" battery as they may have to prove to regulators that they have not been misleading consumers! | ![]() mikebrenner

24/12/2019 18:09 | Thanks davebowler - let me see if I can make your link clickable: It would be great if they are using graphene supplied by Versarien of course, but in various reports that I've seen, there is nothing to indicate that Versarien is involved. And I vaguely recall NR saying it isn't graphene material from Versarien (or am I remembering some other brand he was referring to?) | ![]() grabster
24/12/2019 17:43 | I've been reading about a failed oil drill where the packer failed. This led me to look further at packers and found the article below. Some interesting points - Price Analysis Over the past few years, the prices for packers and plugs have shown a downward trend due to relatively small demand, high competition and a decline in commodity prices, such as steel and rubber. The prices for packers are driven by their application and/or a unique design that is applicable to a particular field. Temporary/retrievabl Cost Analysis Packers are made of steel and elastomers/fluoroela Manufacturing quality and raw materials. This is of utmost important as a low cost packer/plug can cause very long delays if they fail to meet the sealing requirements Potential damage. Damage is a significant issue, particularly in a hot climate, as the rubber components may dry and lose their qualities very fast Meeting the right specification and not overspecifying. When selecting the elastomer/fluoroelas The global market is $2 Bn. You can see from the reports where VRS can have an impact. I didn't realise the market size. | ![]() serratia

In the fullness of time I see a tranche of solid VRS PIs on payback time for the scumbags. The planning for which is already being talked about. :-) | ![]() superg1

24/12/2019 11:21 | So that 120 went rough cantors clearly Wins have none on Nex either otherwise the higher amounts would have gone through. I see on NEX they moved it up at just gone 11am. Just doing a live info spill so others can see what goes on. | ![]() superg1
24/12/2019 11:19 | Well though I'd waste a dealers fee just to see how low you have to go to get a quote and buy. 500 shares, 150 shares no, 140 shares, no etc etc. 120 shares yes. Farcical isn't it. Price displayed 92p for 10k shares. | ![]() superg1

24/12/2019 11:13 | Graham, why do you feel this compulsive need to tell everyone how great you are, how special you are, what good deeds you do? Most normal pople are infinitely more modest, don't feel the need to brag about the good they do. Narcissistic personality disorder, that's why. | ![]() club sandwich
24/12/2019 11:10 | Aha Cantors on bid but can be got through Wins on Nex. | ![]() superg1
24/12/2019 11:09 | Will sort the merry xmas bits later. Just done my good deed, made me laugh at the stress the guy was under. A cunning plan of locking kids xmas presents in the back of his van. All fine until xmas eve the keys can't be found anywhere. All sorted, happy dad, and his earache has subsided. | ![]() superg1 |
