China’s ZGC Group Chooses London For Next Investment Destination

Cooperation between London and Beijing is progressing and has become a “model” around the world.ZGC Capital announces the ZGC Innovation Fund to support and invest in science, technology and innovation ventures within and outside China.China’s President Xi Jinping supports 2019 ZGC Forum meeting with message to actively participate in global innovation cooperation and sharing innovation and development with countries around the world.

October 28, 2019 11:30 AM Eastern Daylight Time

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ZGC Group, one of China’s top investors and operator of China’s leading network of science parks, announces that it will be opening an innovation centre in London to support UK and Chinese entrepreneurs.

This follows the news from ZGC last week that it has established a CNY 30+ BN fund to invest in and support science, technology and innovation ventures around the world.

Headquartered in Beijing, ZGC has established a network of science parks throughout China and the world, and is committed to becoming the leading global provider of integrated services for entrepreneurs, from real estate and financing to IP and advisory services.

ZGC’s Chairman, Mr Zhao Changshan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with London & Partners’ CEO, Laura Citron.

ZGC manages 18 science parks in China and over ten innovation centres and liaison offices around the world, including the US, Canada, Finland, Israel and Germany, and has invested directly or indirectly over USD 6 BN in over 2,000 startups around the world of which 35 are now listed on global stock markets and 15 have become unicorns (worth over USD 1 BN), including CloudMinds, Ant Financial, and Cambricon. ZGC also provides support and services to firms such as iFLYTEK and SenseTime, two of China’s leading AI success stories.

The "ZGC Innovation Centre @London", as it will be called, will provide a full range of services for technology companies in the UK including local incubation, cross-border acceleration, VC investment and M&A consulting to help them expand into the Chinese market and globally.

In a speech in London, Mr Zhao Changshan, Chair of ZGC said, “We will be setting up the ZGC Innovation Centre in London soon, and are very happy to be joining London’s great innovation ecosystem, which is renowned as one of the best globally.”

Mr Zhao added, “We see ZGC as a global network to help innovators in science and technology promote collaborative innovation, cooperation and the creation of projects which help all countries build a better future.”

ZGC Capital presented the CNY 30+ BN (including CNY 20 BN and USD 2 BN) ZGC Innovation Fund at the ZGC Forum meeting earlier this month in Beijing. The fund will support and invest in science, technology and innovation ventures within and outside China to support overseas business expansion, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and overseas stock market listings.

The 2019 ZGC Forum, ZGC’s annual gathering of 1,200 entrepreneurs, investors and government agencies from around the world, including the London Stock Exchange and the Mayor of London’s promotional agency, London & Partners, was held in Beijing from 16 October to 18 October. China’s President Xi Jinping supported the event with a congratulatory letter emphasising China’s willingness to actively participate in global innovation cooperation, share innovation and development achievements with countries around the world, and work together to build a community of human destiny.

So you fell for it then graphite.

Where anywhere have VRS given a BS forecast.

NR and Chris won’t do them as they are nomad driven spiv fiction.

What happens when they do the huge miss profit warning then due in about a month now.

They need cash and lots of it. Linkedin up to 56 employees so add some more for those
not on there. There were 50 before the news came out.

We plan to continue hiring at pace. In particular, there will continue to be sizeable expansion in the technical development team.

They didn’t pursue games but let everyone think they were.

Not forgetting this was supposed to be an all singing all dancing software breakthrough ready to go. Which clearly it wasn’t by a long way.

Original backers mugged, PIs mugged and soon to go back to the market on the back of lies and deceit. Good luck on that one.

Rheumking - there is a whole industry out there tracking company directors, key employees and advisers in order to analyse and sell the data to investors, business rivals and anyone else who is willing to pay for it. Private jet use, conference attendance, press articles and social media are just some examples of monitoring to join the dots.

Bids buying confirms years of understanding just how blind PIs to facts and susceptible to BS by spivs.

Draper mocked posts warning of big misses saying all on track.

The bloke needs booting.

Sold some as he knows damn well what is coming, huge miss and big fund raise coming on the back of shocking forecast performace.

So
Vrs down from 180 odd to 90 odd.
Bids down from 37 to 19.
Both companies halved in value. Will Vrs get back to 180s or Bids back to 37p
The race is on take your marks.
Did superberg buy back in yet. Or is he still pumping iof.

Strong share price movement today, early morning tree shake to hit some stops followed by a nice sustained rise. Buys munching up all the 'large' sells.

The sells are no doubt flippers into BIDS as evidenced by the not so subtle trade history. I know a few large holders now who have a habit of selling VRS at its lows and either buying elsewhere at the top or catching a falling knife. Should really listen to the wiser heads that warned them, however inflated egos and greed unfortunately blinds even the most intelligent of men.

Great set up for tomorrow - strong candle, narrowing bollingers, I'm calling the beginnings of lift off.

rheumking - I wouldn't read to much into the security thing with VRS, but if they need advice, I'm sure that one or more of our 'Special' PI's would offer their opinion or assistance if or when asked. GLALTH, TBOB

Yes agreed they will be back tomorrow but yes that’s looks like their plan .

Funny anyone who tops up when they come on the board should do ok :-) rather than sell on their fear tactics always seem to drop 8-10% then go back up
Dyor as always.

Rid, TERN, BIDS, GAN were mentioned for a reason. I've been wasting my time to find correlation between these shares because of big holders like you and fest n alike. I want to protect my investment in VRS and there is nothing wrong in it.

Buying in volume and seeing price rise while allowing traders to get onboard gives a false sense of share price rise.

Similarly, selling in volume and seeing price fall while sucking in poor and small investors also gives a false sense of share price fall.

When you trade a share with big position, you become the market. Having a large holding is easy but getting out can become a pain in AIM in such illiquid stocks. Preserve what you've rather than chase the next big trade.

Ps. Oh btw, trade but learn your charts. Try hard to cross 15p on tern and oh gan has big gap at 72p. And don't ask me about bids chart also.

No problem! If Chris wants to visit China and sign the biggie I'll happily house sit for him.

Unlikely as you might think, it is standard now not to publish staff's whereabouts for most employers. Some people's online footprint means if they are out of the country or travelling they could become a target for burglary. Scarily easy to figure out where they live and it does happen.

So Ricketts is still sticking to the 'busy November' story, is he? Let's see if he can actually deliver on something this time, unlike his 'BIGT by the AGM' schtick: something of actual significant commercial worth.

There's really nothing left to say, so I'll go quiet until the end of November. Either he finally delivers something or I'll be back, redoubled in my criticism.

See you all in c. 4 weeks.

Also think it’s interesting how billwave and loglorry hit the bulletin board first thing in the morning and presumably they combine it with small sells to drive the price down then they completely disappear.
They then repeat the same trick the next day – The share price swings around 8% intraday so presumably that is their game at the moment.

Does anyone have any idea what all the discussion is about on Twitter concerning personal security for VRS staff – who on earth would be interested in them beyond, without sounding conspiratorial perhaps the Chinese state but that wouldn’t make sense as they will be working with them
