Just a reminder from July 2018 ,

"Advanced materials engineering group Versarien said it had appointed Denis Koltsov and Martin Kemp to strengthen its graphene technology team, with a particular focus on quality assurance.

Kemp and Koltsov were both at the forefront of developing the international standards that would define graphene and other nanomaterials, the company said.

Koltsov was chair of ISO TC 229 Nanotechnology Standards Group, while Kemp was chair of the Nanomaterials Committee of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.

Versarien also announced that it had been selected to be The Graphene Council's launch client for their 'Verified Graphene Producer' programme.

The programme would independently verify that the Versarien's Nanene graphene nano platelets met their demanding standards."

Just in case someone asks who is Denis Koltsov? 😉🌞

Acceptance of the standards by China shows how important that producing quality products has become to them.

An old blog but relevant

"Government-sponsored pushes to innovate
Supporting these companies’ quality improvements are the government’s plans to modernize manufacturing and improve the quality of Chinese products. Made in China 2025 is a government initiative aimed at transforming the nation into a lean, innovative and green world manufacturing power by 2025.

Among other requirements, the plan calls for more sourcing of key, high-tech components from domestic suppliers. And while many Chinese firms will need to adjust their strategies to appropriately meet demand, so far the plan has already boosted investments in technological innovation."

And they are getting the top notch quality graphene requirements in black and white, doesn't Denis Koltsov have something to do with Versarien ? 😉🌞

"From Twitter

And another absolutely classic example. The coffee is wasted.

Copied directly from bobworths post. It has achieved a very commendable 45 tick ups. I don't disagree with much of it although I feel number 1 on the list to be absurd and I think it would be very naive and unfair to tar every person that has an alternative view to your own as a shorter or stock basher. For the record I do not condone the idea of shorting on stocks. As long as any information being presented is based on quantifiable facts however, I have no problem taking it onboard even when it may leave a sour taste and be easier to bury my head and ignore. Is any one of the 45 people that ticked up this post under any illusion at all that Long crews do not move in a very similar way with almost identical tactics? To my knowledge, not one of the "evil" shorter crew you refer to, have set up a highly moderated and hence terminally biased thread that will only allow content that suits their own agenda. Now you might just want to think about that, or as I'm beginning to gather you may just continue to ignore.

"STOCK BASHING!!!!

As VRS appears to be attracting a lot of attention from our resident Stock Bashers now, I thought it would be helpful and enlightening to remind ourselves why shares like VRS with massive potential get heavily bashed.

Note some, especially the persistent ones, are paid to bash stocks by organisations that either want to buy in shares at a cheaper price or want to achieve a company takeover at a bargain price!

Note our most active resident basher often says the best solution would be for VRS to be bought out!

Note they all have a motive and do not do it for the fun of it! Their aim is to simply get shareholders to sell and to put off new or existing investors from buying!

Note the Bashers who do it for personal gain tend to be short lived whereas the paid ones are more likely to be long term and very persistent.

Lessons for the inexperienced investor:

1. Bashers never bash bad stocks!!!!! You can view the boards for stocks with no potential. You’ll see quickly that those stocks don’t have bashers. Bashers only go after stocks that have gone upwards or have excellent potential to go up further.

2. Bashing gets especially frantic when they think very significant news is imminent.

3. Bashers post many times a day including weekends and become even more active when the share price falls. Their aim is to wear you out, so you sell. They comment on everything, they try to control the board with their negativity. If they seem to be working on this one stock full time, that’s because they are! Even more than full-time – weekends & evenings. Note how many posts a day we are now getting from our resident bashers!!

4. Bashers hiding under username that cannot be traced will lie to your face (or your keyboard) and will even resort to rudeness and verbally attack the company’s CEO & Board. They all have a motive and therefore never trust a basher.

5. Bashers play on your lack of patience. You have held a stock for a while, knowing it will be a big stock someday. The basher can get to you because you are tired of waiting for your gain.

6. The Basher is all about bringing the price down. That is the nature of a basher. The truth is not important; lies and endless doubting are the norm. They are trying to hit the newbies visiting the board for the first time, so they post continuously throughout the day. They are trying to wear out the longs on the board and they will do whatever it takes to do so.

7. Bashers will try to create doubt and get you to research items that they know will lead to the creation of doubt in you and in other stockholders.

What do you do?

Totally ignore them and never respond to them. If you cannot do that then place them on filter. If we all do that then they will quickly go into demise.

Sadly, that often doesn’t happen and therefore they are given a platform to rigorously bash the shares down.

They also know bashing works and will only end when the company finally announces that significant news.

Anyway, goodluck to all VRS Shareholders, stay strong and take heart especially from lessons 1 and 2."

China and Aecom are leading the way, others need to change their mindset or be left wanting , Kodak made a similar mistake and never caught up. Once companies and people realise what graphene can do to change the world we live in the environment and quality of life then there will be a huge cascade effect.

Investors here are lucky to be in at the start of that , people don't like change, big companies don't like threats to their profits but VRS has positioned itself so that they can't be taken out and the growth stifled, China knows that too. So, it is either embrace it or spend years catching up.

Oh my goodness.

"And for the record I've asked Neill personally for clarification of my concerns, I just wasn't at all satisfied by his answers"

I apologise to anyone that has sought innuendo from within that statement, although I suspect that has more to do with their own paranoia than my intent. Persons on here suggested I direct any concerns or questions I have right to the top. My sole purpose was to inform them that I already had. To say I was not satisfied was not to suggest anything particularly negative or imply that I'm in a position to know anymore than you. I just didn't feel satisfied that the concerns I raised were adequately enough addressed to allow me to feel as comfortable as I'd like with my investment. Of course I am also aware that his hands are tied in a way with respect to what he can tell you.

"He would lose his family and his business if he was that way with them."But I'm not, so there's no danger of that.I will continue to hold Ricketts to account for his shameful, disgraceful failure to deliver until he does or until he is removed.Of *course* it will take time to build a global business - I get that. But the simple fact is that apart from the earbuds Ricketts has delivered not a single product large or small to market or signed a single substantial supply contract. Period. The fact that we keep discussing the MD earbuds is because to date that is the totality of delivery. Quite beyond belief.I notice that Graham doesn't address his own failings. A year ago he was predicting imminent HUGE deals. Six months ago he was warning shorts that deals could appear from anywhere at any time. Here we are nearly 10 full months into this 'mind-blowing' year and... nothing.Narcissistic personality disorder, wasn't it Graham?

IEC TC113 (Nanotechnologies - Electrotechnical) meetings are drawing to a close. After nearly 4 solid days of meetings IEC TC113 is able to send a proposal for ISO TC229 to evaluate and develop further a key new material grouping: Graphene-based material (GBM). This term does not need new definition and uses existing ISO/IEC 80004-13 terminology. There is therefore no change to the fundamental definition of graphene or any other species like 2LG, FLG, GNP, GO and rGO. IEC TC113 accepts precedence of ISO TC229 JWG1. The latter will meet in November in Hangzhou (China) to discuss this further. At this stage it GBM is simply a proposal and no final wording is released.

Lucky

I tried the ban route etc, some just don’t get it.

I let it run for a week or two and look what happened.

CS need help to cope with his issue it's that simple. He is incapable of controlling himself. He would lose his family and his business if he was that way with them.

CS go seek help, you know it’s a serious problem and you need to get a grip of it, before it destroys you.

"We haven't got one big deal over the line."

No, we haven't.

"Bit I still hold and still confident as these things always take longer than you think."

So why does the CEO keep raising false hopes among s'holders?

Remember this?

"I could leave this room, right now, make a phone call and we could start producing in China this afternoon."

That was over 18 months ago. And when I took those notes - writing it down as it was said - I put them specifically in quotation marks because that was a verbatim quote, recorded in real time. Other BB posters at the time confirmed that my reporting was accurate and that's what he said. Now, coveniently, he doesn't remember saying it...

Two simple questions for Ricketts:

1/ What led you to believe that you may have been able to deliver a BIGT deal by the AGM this year?
2/ What happened to stop that occurring?

Great post bobs worth sums up their tactics precisely . Sadly these characters are to be found on the bulletin boards of many decent companies and are nothing short of fraudsters who are spreading misinformation for their own financial gain . Staying long and patient is the only way if you have found a good company and I believe we have found a gem here .
