27/10/2019 18:08 | Twitter interesting tonight... Laurence Mott, Executive VP for Development and Engineering at @tetrapak says that #graphene “is a potential disruptive technology for the packaging industry.” @FutureTechEU "Graphene is enabling the technologies of the future," says Sara de Simoni, VP for Equipment Engineering and Managing Director of @tetrapak I just tweeted Win,win, win for @GrapheneCA @Versarien @tetrapak ...The Graphene Flagship 'liked' it...not sure if we read read anything in to that but following on from hattie's tweet to them ..... | ![]() woodpeckers
27/10/2019 17:59 | To my mind, 'ready to drop' means negotiations are done, papers are ready to sign but the deal is being held back for some reason (eg Brexit). If negotiations are still going on it's not ready to drop. Not that I expect many on here to care about such linguistic niceties. | ![]() club sandwich
27/10/2019 16:56 | But they're 'ready to drop'? | ![]() club sandwich
27/10/2019 16:53 | The deals just got bigger and are taking longer to negotiate. | ![]() 1teepee
27/10/2019 16:45 | Nice to see that the Graphene Flagship are pleased to have Versarien on board as the only certified graphene producer ... in the world!.... and have acknowledged it on twitter. | ![]() luckyorange
27/10/2019 16:43 | One very simple question; if there are 5 deals ready to drop, why haven't they dropped? What's the delay? | ![]() club sandwich
27/10/2019 13:23 | You can’t stop progress and technology has to move on as it always has , here’s to the graphene revolution , when it comes we are at the forefront . :-) Ff | ![]() forestfred
27/10/2019 13:11 | In the bigger picture it looks like an election will be on the cards so money will be coming back into the markets in the interim period... expect shorts to close. I don't know why someone thinks that Chris is heading to China john but wouldn't be surprised as he is the financials man and in charge of the China deal, we will know what the score is sometime during the week. | ![]() luckyorange
27/10/2019 13:11 | john, iofra mentioned it yesterday. He's a long term holder, no reason to suspect that it isn't true. We'll soon see anyway. | ![]() woodpeckers
27/10/2019 12:50 | Clearly good stuff is happening in China and hopefully VRS will be part of that, but why do some people think Chris Leigh is heading to China this next week. | ![]() johnveals
27/10/2019 12:44 | That would be a ‘slag heap’, but I know detail is not your strong point. | ![]() johnveals
27/10/2019 12:36 | Come on TeePee paste in the extract where he describes FGR, XGS etc. as inferior or suggests in anyway that VRS is superior. In fact where does it imply in any way that VRS isn't perhaps one of the inferior grades? Certainly the Verified Surface Area of Nanene and minimum lateral size is inferior to some of the producers mentioned for example FGR. | ![]() loglorry1

27/10/2019 12:08 | Well yes luckyo - looks that way, and of course the company are advised by the dit/beis secondees/dept in this regard. interesting that chinese were openly talking about ip, holding a specific forum, and looking at ways to secure it tho. Best ellis | ![]() ellissj
27/10/2019 11:55 | So quite a decent z-park forum held by beijing authorities this month. Graphene mentioned as a policy focus. International co-operation. IP protection discussed. Details of a Capital investment fund released. Looks to me like the chinese are getting ducks in a row to promote their emphasis on developing science and technology as part of the 'made in china 2025'strategy. An exciting time for vrs to be negotiating with the chinese. Aimo. Glalth. Best ellis | ![]() ellissj
27/10/2019 11:48 | Really upping the ante over there Elliss thanks for the info. So that explains how VRS get IP protection being a partner of BIGT they will be covered by in country insurance. (I do wonder if insurance has a cost as we know it or legal 'insurance' i.e. Government protection) "Wei, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office, pointed out that Beijing regards the protection of intellectual property rights as a precondition for strengthening scientific and technological innovation, improving the quality of urban development, and enhancing the international influence of the capital, and has conducted trials on an intellectual property fund for key industries, patent insurance and patent pledge financing insurance. | ![]() luckyorange
27/10/2019 11:47 | He does actually. He just said the the lower grades work for some applications | ![]() 1teepee |
