24/10/2019 13:04 | This article is from Dec 2017...interesting as it explains the hurdles we're facing, but what also jumped out at me was this... "We know that the lion’s share of the market is for nanocomposite materials based on surveys of more than 400 graphene application developers, producers and end-users. In fact it is more than 50% of the total current market. These applications include the use of graphene in plastics, polymers, 3D printing, rubber, with carbon fibers and CNTs, as well as in concrete and steel applications." The 'difficult part' is getting the graphene into the materials, so Polygrene is obviously now aimed at filling that market...which other companies have faced this problem head on and are producing ready to go graphene enhanced materials??? | ![]() woodpeckers
24/10/2019 12:33 | Thanks for that link Ash. This is worth noting: "What materials are needed for 3D printing? Those looking to gain exposure to 3D printing should consider those stocks that produce the vital feed material that 3D printers need." ....wonder who could supply some very special materials... This article on the same theme of 3D printing and nanotech is worth casting an eye over...Certainly seems to be a match made in heaven between these two technologies..hope one day we have news that we have acquired a 3D printing company... | ![]() woodpeckers

24/10/2019 12:01 | Thanks WP for the reminder about Gnanomat. Did anyone find a similar data from Gnanomat but with actual values for energy density, power density and capacitance? Their reported percentage increases look fantastic but to truly know where they stand compared to the competition real numbers are important. People that don't know about the field of rechargeable batteries may not know that there are countless very promising ways to enhance lithium-ion batteries or alternatives to LIB and hundreds of start ups that have the same claims as Gnanomat. So what's missing in this presentation are actual energy/power density values and concrete info on "what are the manufacturing/cost/s | mryl
24/10/2019 11:58 | @schmally why do you think that the two possible explanations you offer are the only alternatives? I suspect Matt has trotted along to meetings with people from BIGT/CIGUI and other such things. I suspect they've talked about taking an investment in VRS. So what? I know at least one other graphene company that has had similar approaches. I suspect that Matt probably has reservations that he would never air publicly it would be insane to do so he's an employee of VRS. I'm just guessing though I don't know. This might be his first Rodeo and he might be very naive as to how China business works. I've seen no evidence of him putting other large deals together in China or creditable track record to rely on. We know he is a DIT secondee so what? AIM is full of companies who were going to do deals with China that never materialised. For VRS its not only China it seems it is everyone who they can't get over the line. As for what Ricketts tells us well we know he is hugely prone to exaggeration. Most probably they are both out of their depth. Given the level of due diligence VRS did on Patrick Abbot I don't have much faith in them. | ![]() loglorry1

24/10/2019 11:52 | Drowning? Really? I currently don't hold an interest here due to all of the aforementioned. Having had a considerable investment here over the last couple of years and followed this board closely it does concern me that it is geared to give false representation to any potential new investors. I would not like to see more investors sucked in based on this biased representation. I therefore consider it important that for all of the posts made based entirely on rumour, here-say, potential, projections and fantasy, there should be an interjection based on quantifiable facts that suggest an alternative reality to the one that is portrayed. As ever I am more than happy to be corrected on anything I write that is not true or fact. Is that indeed not the basis for balanced objective debate? | ![]() billwave
24/10/2019 11:45 | billie - *which* new year? 2025? and anyway, how can you poasibly know that? you're guessing just like everyone else. me, I prefer facts, not guesswork. and to date NO significant suppply contracts have been delivered, despite c100 collabs of various kinds (and that's without mutiple oppos within a collab partner, like arches and concrete within Aecom). FACT. One thing the hapless Graham *was* right about: Q3 or Q4 of last year was about when supply contracts *should* have started feeding through. But then Ricketts got too caught up with Government and with geopolitical machinations - Brexit, China etc. So here we are a year later and still no STAGGERING or MIND-BLOWING deals actually landed. Nor likely to be anytime soon while Ricketts is in charge. | ![]() club sandwich

24/10/2019 11:29 | A FISHERMAN'S TALE As I see it, Ricketts has preferred to target only the big fishes. So far there's quite a shoal of them reportedly circling the boat. Several have nibbled the bait. It seems like one or two have taken the bait and are on the hook, but have yet to be reeled in. He hasn't landed one of the big ones yet - just one small fish. The boat is well manned and has sufficient fuel to continue the mission. Back at port quite a crowd has gathered, waiting. | rockraven
