11/9/2019 19:03 | Quality, Cost, Volume, Use. VRS providing product, advice, expertise, at various points in the value chain as the market matures. VRS is exploiting its advantage with collaborations. Seeds mature at different rates and the fruits will see the market when ripe. It's a process which takes careful nurturing, sustainable product development and diversity, which we know could be almost limitless. Indeed exciting times and with some fortune cookies, well funded.Underground, driverless trains, communication, knowing exactly where each train is, each carriage, speed and distance from the next train. Much like the endless conveyors of product in an Amazon warehouse. Every moving part precisely controlled. | fireball xl5

11/9/2019 18:06 | It's the 8 years that is the problem from Rock. 2D tech was 2014, taken over doing something like .5 grams per day but a system recognised that would work. That evolved to 100 grams per day, then 3 tonnes and now 30 tonnes planned. Once they had reasonable production methods and dispersion capability they added AAC in Oct 2016. That's when this regard started as we realised they obviously could move to mass production and could disperse it in polymers. Jan 2017, an 85% stake in Cambridge graphene. The one which now has it's ink in wearer trials with various huge sports companies, ink in solar panels in trial, batteries and various other products. Cambridge graphene The total consideration for the acquisition is GBP170,000 to be settled by GBP25,000 in cash, from the Company's existing resources, and the issue of 1,450,000 new ordinary shares in the Company at an agreed price of 10p per share. An absolute bargain through their ability to recognise Cambridge graphene had made a good discovery for graphene ink production. The 8 years is nonsense. They are piecing together a vertically integrated supply chain which included collaboration partners where they have gaps like Fern and Luxus. Setting up supply chains well in advance. | superg1
11/9/2019 16:57 | I thought we all liked rockets? Re the company, maybe the word backside was badly chosen but there is little doubt that the Chinese will want some progress on the squalid remuneration front and I would only welcome that as long as it doesn't get in the way of innovation. | pshevlin
11/9/2019 16:33 | I think you have a wise point our turnover flows are determined by our customers' customers. There are other such models .Cars have to be designed and developed before the order for GK propshafts flows. Better examples are available. It has to rain in Swaledale before York floods . Better examples etc.. But the benign examples we have are legion.Like benign lava flowing down the High Volcano there will be huge clouds of steam when we hit the Sea.Less good examples will be available! | alchemy
11/9/2019 16:32 | Rockraven - I think they are doing what you suggest- -(after 8 years in business Versarien should by now have developed its own route to market via its own plastics subsidiary or its own engineering subsidiary - even at a relatively small scale - alongside its longterm hopes - so that it CAN control something rather than waiting for others) -AAC are involved in the production of the earphones and as I mentioned we are producing Polgrene. Total Carbide is doing things in the background as we've seen from the hexotene news that Jointer kindly posted...so things are happening, we maybe just aren't seeing the detail yet. The thing is, they are small in staff numbers in order to control costs (unlike most others in the game) and I'm guessing they are obviously very choosy about who they take on, so they have to concentrate efforts where they see the best long term rewards. I'm sure the BOD are as frustrated as we are by how long big contracts are taking but my guess is from the feedback we receive that they are confident that they are treading the right path. Can't be much longer now. Neill said in that last interview that there are a few deals all at the point where we will see results. | woodpeckers
11/9/2019 16:12 | Obviously not a big worry for you then if you remain a committed holder Rockraven. Good to hear ;-) | tim3416
11/9/2019 16:00 | I am totally familiar with those various plus points - otherwise I wouldn't have remained a committed holder. My comment was specifically about control of events - an area in which Versarien is arguably light. | rockraven
11/9/2019 15:56 | and lets not forget...we are the real McCoy having our quality materials validated is a massive statement that is not to be underestimated. | jointer13
11/9/2019 15:52 | bisho4 - no. That's a frivolous misinterpretation of what I actually said. ;-) | rockraven
11/9/2019 15:49 | it aint as simple as selling ice creams. when you look at how far we have come in a short space of time its absolutely astounding. | jointer13
11/9/2019 15:45 | its not taken as long as you point out. all about scaling up...getting verified..producing quality materials. now we have done that we are going in to the next stage..exciting times. the patience is just about to pay off. just watch. this is revolutionary high tech. the graphene revolution...and we are right at the cutting edge. the only verified graphene producer in the world. | jointer13
11/9/2019 15:42 | Rockraven, so... you're suggesting that VRS should try to win infrastructure contracts with TfL so they can install the arches on their own timetable...? | bisho4
11/9/2019 15:37 | Rockraven, I may be wrong but I think this is one of the reasons that they have created Polygrene. As I understand it it is a product that can be bought 'off the shelf' and without needing company 'assistance'. | woodpeckers
11/9/2019 15:21 | Most of the news that is awaited or hoped for is dependent upon the company's collaborators. Versarien has no control over when Aecom successfully sell their arches for example, and is perhaps in the same position with just about all collaborations. This itself is arguably a failure of strategy - after 8 years in business Versarien should by now have developed its own route to market via its own plastics subsidiary or its own engineering subsidiary - even at a relatively small scale - alongside its longterm hopes - so that it CAN control something rather than waiting for others. At present it does not appear to be in control of its own destiny. That strikes me as a weakness, and I guess some of the HNW individuals and institutions see it that way? Might explain why they have hesitated to buy in. | rockraven
11/9/2019 13:49 | And the purpose of all that was what !. | dgduncan
11/9/2019 13:37 | pshevlin - well of course we all hope so. But why should the (first) China deal happen in the next 9 working days when it hasn't happened in the past 18 months? And again, do we really believe that a small company from Cheltenham with turnover <£10m last year (barely up on the year before) is suddenly going to sign a deal worth squillions? Now of course if the company had been signing small supply contracts all along, establishig its credibility and proving up its products and business, that would have been different... | club sandwich
11/9/2019 13:11 | Who says the company needs a rocket up the backside pshevlin apart from whingers like you and chicken sandwich? How do you know what they are doing in the background? What a disrespectful post directed at Neill and the team! You really need to think before you post or get the wife to check them first! | tim3416
11/9/2019 13:06 | Perception is , often, reality. But yours don't reflect mine! | alchemy
11/9/2019 12:52 | Hold on ian. If the BIGT "does" eventually go through I think the Chinese will put a very big rocket up the companies backside. | pshevlin
11/9/2019 12:11 | Crumbs how the tectonic plates do shift! Platitude alert. | alchemy |
