11/9/2019 08:55 | Good find Jointer If Hexotene strengthens ceramics and assists heat dissipation then there is likely to be a whole host of uses in various products linked to ceramics. The last line in one media report post results "through to producing Hexotene enhanced ceramics for use in satellite engines.” It may help explain why the mention of 1 tonne Hexotene production planned, or in play. | superg1
11/9/2019 08:50 | Having now seen some Hexotene news from the Total Carbide subsidiary, I wonder when we will ever see any news from the Aac Cyroma subsidiary. When Versarien acquired it 3 years ago Neill Ricketts said "It provides a dedicated facility from which to manufacture graphene enhanced plastics on an industrial scale." Since when we've heard nothing along those lines from them. A question for the agm? No clues on their website | grabster
11/9/2019 08:36 | Great find Jointer, I'm surprised that wasn't an RNSnon, all adds a little more fuel to our rocket. I'm sure the question will be raised that if hexotene is successful in the testing and can reduce the weight then what other uses (if which I am sure there are many) can be made of it in rockets. | woodpeckers
11/9/2019 08:31 | from the video. aecom is helping transport for London to install it equipment into tunnels. its ...much quicker. its... much safer. its...more reliable relentless focus on innovation. | jointer13
11/9/2019 08:18 | Jointer13, thanks for the link and good to see that the benefits of 2D materials are being incorporated into other companies in the Versarien group. As Neill has mentioned in Podcasts he is looking for opportunities to work further along the value chain. | redstone64

11/9/2019 08:06 | jointer13 - thanks for that link. Can't see a date on it - is it new (via news update service) or previous? We get SO little news from subsidiaries Total Carbide and Aac Cyroma. | grabster
11/9/2019 08:05 | rainbow..... a reminder. you need to get with it and see whats staring you in the face. facts. bigt is only a small part of the company in the whole scheme of things.(lets not forget the govt officials playing there part in this) if we get it before the agm...all well and good...if not, still all well and good. last we heard it was all on track. (if there is a few more i's to dot and t's to cross ..so be it.) just to help you out...the company will be owned by us and run by the institute. 'expansion into China.' On 15 April 2019. the Company announced that it had signed a term sheet with the Beijing Institute of Graphene Technology Co. Ltd ("BIGT") covering the proposed cooperation between the parties to develop Versarien's graphene related business in China. The term sheet envisaged that BIGT would provide funding to Versarien for the proposed wholly owned subsidiary ("WFOE") and other corporate purposes in the form of an equity investment, providing BIGT with a holding of up to 15% of the issued share capital of the Company, whilst giving existing and prospective private and institutional shareholders the opportunity to participate on the same terms. now on the 9th august 2019. The Company can confirm that discussions between BIGT and the Company remain ongoing and that the WFOE has now been successfully incorporated as the Beijing Versarien Technology Company Limited and the business licence has been granted by the relevant Chinese authorities. This will enable the Directors to progress the funding discussions with BIGT. We look forward to updating shareholders regarding developments as appropriate. going quite well don't you reckon. 11/9/2019 07:55 | No Bigt today then? The mugs continue to be strung along by this fantasy. Beware the looming crash when it turns out to be a figment of their imagination. | rainbow23

11/9/2019 07:13 | this ties in with the report. hexotene TOTAL CARBIDE TO DEVELOP LIGHTER AND STRONGER PARTS FOR AEROSPACE PROPULSION SYSTEMS Total Carbide produces throat nozzles, a finely-tuned part of a propulsion system that provides the right amount of thrust to propel rockets and satellites. With SPRINT (SPace Research and Innovation Network for Technology) support, the company will work with StressMap, the materials characterisation and measurement services business unit of The Open University, to test and measure new materials, designed to reduce the weight of the throat nozzle component by improving the material properties. Currently, throat nozzles are made from Tungsten Alloys, which provide sufficient heat resistance, wear resistance and strength. Tungsten is heavy and so Total Carbide is adding Hexotene, an innovative 2d material produced by Total Carbide’s parent company Versarien, into a heat resistant ceramic which will increase its strength and enable a more lightweight solution. | jointer13
11/9/2019 07:13 | The sacking of John Bolton by President Trump yesterday was very significant for VRS IMHO. The removal of the arch-hawk could pave the way for a softening of the trade war with China, alongside other geo-political benefits. As we close in on the BIGT deal these vibes can only be positive. I’m selling gold to buy more VRS (Disclosure: Very long VRS, No advice intended, DYOR!) | shavian
11/9/2019 07:03 | Very meaningful discussion in the biz section of this morning’s Today prog on BBC Channel 4. Here’s my summary of Maike Curry of Fidelity International (no less) talking with business editor Dominic O’Connell on the subject of the failing float of WeWork (a serviced office business): “This is not a technology business, it’s masquerading as a tech business. The reason that Wall Street has enjoyed double the growth of other world markets in the past 5 years is the effect of Silicon Valley’s tech giants. We are at the beginning of a whole new industrial revolution of disruptive industries, and institutional investors are now looking for the next big trend which will change the way we do everything better and more cheaply”. They need look no further! Is this why NR and DK went to Edinburgh on Monday? | shavian
11/9/2019 06:24 | It's easy.Right to them and express your concern why the boss earns more than the Prime Minister and how you think it's wrong.Tell them your stopping donations. Then put your money into total volunteer charities of which there are hundreds. I have had this objection for years so will not donate until i have done my research into the charity. Funny enough it's like buying a share.I agree it is disgusting and takes away the meNing of charity. | soilderboy |
