17/4/2019 15:27 | It’s the F- Factor again, bulls fear 130p, back test, could be successful but certainly needs to hold this level. Meanwhile punters looking for momentum plays, would be wise to look at (FUL) breaking out today after a long period of consolidation, so bullish behaviour imo Also who doesn’t like consumers with more money in their wage packet, dining out at Franco Manca pizza or The Real Greek, certainly offering good value meals, also benefiting from rivals either going under or closing branches, dyor as usual but I detect a good move up on this breakout. | ![]() ny boy

17/4/2019 14:16 | Indeed hew, the more i read, the more impressed i became. Under their 2025 strategy, beijing is the place to be regarding their efforts to research and innovate next gen materials into industry and their infrastructure. As neill suggests on twitter, chinese already have developed some impressive ip for future projects. Looks like they value vrs 2D materials to help realise their ambitions. One of which appears to create a leading composites centre. Exciting times ahead. Obviously, we await further details and hope for good negotiations, but the bare bones ie 100% owned vrs chinese subsiduary, is a good starting point from which to hang some good meat upon ! And having in effect chinese govt as a shareholder, the best ip protection you can get there. Plus cocacola recipe etc. Aimo. Best ellis | ![]() ellissj

17/4/2019 13:45 | Ellis, delayed but a few words of thanks for your posts 67278, 67280, 67281. You have already appreciated it, but untangling the various names, organisations, links and connections involved makes it very clear that VRS has hit the bulls eye of the Chinese graphene dartboard in linking up with BGIT. Not accidentally I’m sure with, Matt and the DIT central to the guidance! The Chinese graphene worlds of their Govt, academic, R&D, applications, major companies, international links (CICGU) all come to a focus within and between that grouping. Being able to offer such an inviting prospect to a graphene supplier, that they were willing (eventually) to accept a deal on the exceptional WOFE terms that satisfied VRS speaks volumes for the respect for VRS they must have. That the ceremony took place with representatives of the Chinese and UK Governments present summarises the achievement. ‘Well done VRS’ hardly seems adequate. | ![]() hew

17/4/2019 13:36 | Found "Open Access Government" online publication Jan 2019 this morning and I've been speed reading it (it's LONG!) Found one reference to VRS... Page 209... "An important area of Innovate UK’s work with businesses across the UK is helping them reach out internationally to partners and opportunities. We do this for example through our missions, helping companies find prospective partners and markets abroad. It is, therefore, very encouraging to report successes from previous missions we’ve run, such as the excellent news that advanced materials business Versarien has signed a major deal with a South Korean partner after being part of an Innovate UK mission to the country. The Cheltenham-based specialist in 2-dimensional materials has entered into a collaboration agreement with AXIA Materials Co. The relationship was formed during an Innovate UK global business innovation programme visit to South Korea. I would urge companies wishing to innovate to visit our website to see how Innovate UK is there to help and support them innovate and grow their business. ■" Wonder if graphene is useful in AE monitoring too (P210)? In fact it's difficult to go through the different sections of this magazine and not think Versarien, not least the Space section (P173)... “It is no secret that the UK space sector is growing rapidly at the moment. The UK government has set out bold ambitions to secure 10% of the global space market by 2030 – with an approximate value of £40 billion, triple the size it is today.” | ![]() woodpeckers

17/4/2019 12:43 | With all these deals it would be nice to see a trading update or something to remind the market that none of these samples come for free. Any hint of a profit and we’ll see pi buying in anticipation of mid-cap fund buying. As it is these numerous Chinese Lois and mous only provide short term share price excitement as while the potential gets bigger & bigger we haven’t seen any money yet. Having said that keeping a lid on the rise keeps the shorters at bay too. | ![]() runthejoules
17/4/2019 12:23 | Having been here just a while now, the volumes without news comes when there is stock available. IE an MM has some the share price drafts and lurkers see an opportunity. When shares are tight and no spikes the volumes drop. If there was a big chunk about the relevant MM would jut step over anyone trying to get on the offer. It seems to me Peel picked up the few lumps earlier and now flipping them for a penny or two more. As always the sign that a lump is near done is when the buy price heads towards the offer price. | ![]() superg1

17/4/2019 11:43 | We all saw Cameron and Osborne sucking up to the Chinese. We should not allow ourselves to be used as pawns by the British government. Neither should we play the Americans and Chinese against each other. That is a VERY dangerous game. We need to be seen as truly INDEPENDENT worldwide suppliers of Graphene in all its forms. The incompetence of this government should concern every shareholder in VRS. You all know how they protect UK IP. Superg re: the Muppets I had a good laugh at that. I assume you mean the grumpy old men. | ![]() willoicc
17/4/2019 11:22 | Chumbo Actually potentially quite the opposite on the slant of what I'm not allowed to say. People pay for such info on which they act so it's not for me to share it for free and burn some very good bridges in the process. As always I'll just sit and watch to see if it happens. | ![]() superg1
17/4/2019 11:16 | I'm imaging a scenario where the entity who has been buying heavily recently is a front for a Chinese investor. There may be several of them, all staying below notifiable levels. In this scenario, the Chinese wouldn't require to take up 15% of the company at the time of the placing, because they already own a slice by proxy.Either that, or their 15% is really closer to 25% in reality at that time. | ![]() festario

17/4/2019 10:45 | I know a real sickener being in an AIM tiddler and world superpowers wanting a slice of the pie. Hmmmm it must mean VRS have something highly valuable. Yep that’s what I and a few others thought before they popped their head up, hence those that understand it hold shares in VRS. | ![]() superg1 |
