17/4/2019 06:58 | Lucky after a chat yesterday to someone who knows what he is talking about I now have a product on my radar which I had some time ago dismissed. My interest had been growing but it didn't seem viable way back. Viable for what is the key. As with all things we tend to look at basic uses and basic costs, instead of the specialist uses and the massive costs savings that come with the use of advanced materials. Various industries use certain methods or products because there is nothing else they can use..... until now. It is quite clear to me that China see graphene as the next materials industrial revolution and they intend to exploit it as fast as they can. If some look they will see the likes of South Korea (and others) are just as keen. So it's a fact imo that huge industries will develop in the advanced materials age and some companies involved are going to grow substantially. I say fact, as the results out there are far too great to be ignored. Disruptive tech is one thing and can hit hurdles with big names sticking up blockers. This however is an industry where solutions to problems, not disruption, is the main event. It's an enabler to industry, not disabling existing industry. | ![]() superg1
17/4/2019 06:55 | Luckykids good post. Any thoughts on what share price VRS will want Beijing institute to pay for their 15%? | ![]() bobsworth
17/4/2019 06:35 | Can you imagine if Apple, Google or Tesla wanted to buy 15% of VRS at a price basically of VRS's choosing what effect it would have had on the price, not just a few pence. Now we have Beijing institute which is probably able to push more work our way than three mentioned above added together and you begin to see that the share price has barely begun it's climb. As for Nanoco valued at £140 million having failed over the last 10 yrs on on hope of one major company it puts our price into perspective. Very undervalued. The truth is out there. | ![]() luckykids

16/4/2019 21:59 | When I say teens I mean £teens :) | ![]() redchef
16/4/2019 21:57 | I think I've made this comparison before but Versarien remind me of Verity who were the originators of NXT flat speakers in the 90s. Everyone knew it was a disruptive technology but after an initial spike on speculation the share price just rose in steps with each big name contract signed, Samsung etc. Eventually though the price ended up in the teens from just pence when I first got on board. I shall not be selling half way up the climb this time though ? | ![]() redchef
16/4/2019 21:45 | I believe that one of the main difficulties that will come for all of us at some point is where do we start selling a few to begin enjoying the benefits of having found a once in a lifetime share, which we will and should all inevitably do.... No doubt that at whatever point we each choose, we will at some point kick ourselves for having sold some at such a discount! ... 😂 there has to be a downside to every share...even Versarien. | ![]() woodpeckers
16/4/2019 21:31 | amt - interesting maths but I fear you are addressing the currently unsolvable puzzle which is trying to put a value on the graphene material and graphene application market, not to mention all the other 2D materials. I’m not a nano materials expert by any means but I suspect the application IP has a higher value than the raw 2D material and each order will come at a customer application bespoke price. This makes VRS a vey difficult company to value. Although we are all waiting for the first tangible order, both for revenue and commercial proof of concept, I think the true value of VRS will only emerge after multiple orders and applications across several 2D materials. Personally I am happy with progress so far as VRS are making steady progress by laying the foundations and creating the necessary network to distribute their products as they are developed. For me, this network is key to VRS being able to achieve substantial scale and fulfil its potential. VRS are at the forefront of a disruptive enormous new industry and have achieved much in the last few years so I am hopeful patience will be suitably rewarded in due course. AIMHO and happy to be put right! | lovat scout
16/4/2019 21:31 | Ah a mere 24 billion or for us 144 £ each share. | ![]() alchemy
16/4/2019 21:27 | Arm ! Final share price £16. But that means a lot less than its marcap which I'll now look up! | ![]() alchemy
16/4/2019 21:25 | Carbon black globally is worth $14b ... 2D graphene like VRS has can be a like for like replacement. That is but scratching the surface | ![]() mikebrenner
16/4/2019 21:20 | Market size could be five times that; or half that. Or a hundred times whatever. My email alerts related to various aspects of grapheme include reports issued day in, day out - each with estimates so wildly at odds with each other that I take no notice of any of them. Basing business projections on a percentage of any of them is pointless when they vary so much - and when most of them are written by people who don't seriously have a clue, but have to hold a wetted finger in the air to come up with a number :-) The graphene market will be H-U-U-U-U-G-E. That's about as accurate a guess as can be given. The estimates are fiction. I'm happy to settle for a percentage of huge. ;-) | ![]() grabster
16/4/2019 20:29 | Assessing the global graphene market seems to indicate it could be about 1 billion usd by 2024 according to one article I read and if 40% cagr is used then 6 billion by 2029. Is that realistic? If Versarian take 15% of that then 1 billion usd turnover. Is this another Arm holdings in the making? | ![]() amt

16/4/2019 19:24 | Haven't seen this website before, good to see us at the top of the list of suppliers (tick 2DTech name rather than Versarien) 2-DTech 2-DTech is a graphene company closely aligned with Manchester's world-leading graphene group. The company supplies the highest quality graphene and other 2-D materials internationally. They also work closely with industry and researchers to help turn scientific innovation into groundbreaking products. | ![]() woodpeckers
