Interesting exchange on twitter: @neillricketts Hi Neill. Just wondered whether you're involved with any water desalination projects in the UK or elsewhere and if so how are things are looking? Not yet , but we know the right people. https://twitter.com/Clive205/status/1119536532115927041@neillricketts OK. So I appreciate you're working on a million things at once but how can this be made more of a priority? #ClimateCatastropheWe aren't the delay :) https://twitter.com/Clive205/status/1119554268082601984

Alchemy results out (estimate) July.

Graph, I do recall Neill saying America first, don't think it was at the AGM though.

I have great expectations for US news, the obvious bit being Aecom, which could be any day now. I also think that something else is brewing in the US. So my guess is US news before July and China by September. I expect 2019 to be the launch pad for VRS.

Fair points to mull over.Application take up list has but one item, headphones, at the moment. One announced item. I stand to be corrected!I wish I could help, but I will look up when the next financial results have to be out....so paid trials and unannounced volume orders that have been fulfilled will be visible . https://blog.v-hr.com/blog/the-next-generation-of-boat-building-buckypaper-grapheneI thought I'd join in the deep research movement. So I thought awhile and put in three words in Google. And I found this inside 1002 milliseconds.Another business "thermal"?I felt like Layard. He set out on a raft down from Mosul on the Tigris and found Nimrud by mid-day.

Hope everyone is having a good Easter. Just sitting back and looking at things I wonder at what point the company and shareholders have to discount the idea that any of the original collaborations which are now getting on for 18 months will lead to a significant order.
Whilst going long and strong here and having been in for over three years I like to keep a realistic perspective and was thinking that these would lead to an order within 6 to 12 months.
Is it just that the company can’t be seen to announce a pack of orders in view of the effect this will have on the share price or is this a realistic timeframe to put into industrial production. I admit I have no experience of such things but appreciate it is complicated.
However I would have thought that if further orders were coming they would have been preceded by small further orders for test production but this doesn’t appear to have happened
So near-term share price is predicated on
AECOM which is our most likely breakthrough and China I would think in 2 to 3 years before any income comes through from that
As ever hoping for the best but wanting to keep in touch with reality. Any thoughts welcome

I'd rather not think of this as an arms race between two super powers . I'd like two graphene entrenched territories.Leapfrog is not the word I'd wish to use either. Two profit centres that would be ok!

Morning all very quiet today. Something to discuss. What do we think are the chances of America leapfrogging China and doing a deal with Versarien first . Bearing in Mind we are already set up over there and Zina talking about major announcements to be made at convention in May. The convention that Neill has been involved with since its conception . I do remember Neill saying at last agm America first does anybody else remember . I think it was something he said to David.but memory not clear.

OT Shavian & Affc21:

Eating less meat is one of my eco-friendly strategies, also an aid toward attaining my target weight of 11.7, currently 11.10 & down from 13.5. As my weight has slowly declined so have VRS shares and I hope to achieve target by Monday in order for both trends to reverse on Tuesday :)

In my experience drinking less or no alcohol reduces other appetites and contributes to my being more active, contemplative, considerate and constructive, I pick up litter in the hedgerows instead of just getting indignant; however, I anticipate an Easter relapse.

My photovoltaic panels are quite good facing SE but I want better batteries! I’ve had solar heating panels in my system for about 30 years & this was recently rejigged to incorporate a domestic biomass boiler (I have access to plenty wood) but as a result of the somewhat incompetent reinstallation a couple of years ago the panels have overheated on many occasions and blown off pressure and fluid. Eventually, exasperated by lack of intelligent assistance I myself found the malfunction was caused by a temperature sensor on the roof being attached by only a few strands of twisted wire and this was easily remedied with solder. During my research I have replaced the system’s fluid several times, which was very easy after a little head scratching to get the pipes the right way round; I used a “Shurflo”; 12volt pump to pressurise the system to 2 atm. The system needs a good size ‘buffer tank’ to act as a heat sink to dump surplus heat of which excess is pretty rare in this country, to date.

Guests are encouraged to have hot baths only on sunny days (unless prepared to share) and otherwise they are steered toward the shower. I should think a most effective energy conservation device would be a heat exchanger on waste hot water and imagine Nanene will be extremely efficient in such devices one day.

Edit: my buffer tank was only installed with the biomass boiler and serves well as an accessory hot water store/ heat sink; without that there must be compromise; an overly large hot water tank may not come up to satisfactory temperature so often and will need a heating top up while a smaller one risks the system overheating so a heat sink radiator is needed.

From an investment perspective, if I was in China’s shoes, as I’m most likely providing the cash accelerant to get the global VRS show well and truly on the road, I’d prefer a stake in the whole business rather than just the local venture.

As I see it, any cash raised from China goes towards production facilities there which, given the size of the economy, may be numerous.

We don’t have the whole picture though, and who knows what happens to China’s proposed stake if someone else gets in first?

Interesting times!

Evergreen,That's interesting regarding your Heat Pump system...sounds like you are very pleased with the system...possibly a warmer climate adds to its benifts?Thermal Solar heating via tubes can be a problem in summer...excess heat has to be dumped via a secondary system (in my case via a radiator) or you could have a high pressure blow/release of thermal fluids ( in my system it would be caught within a container specifically for such a situation, but then you would have to represurise the system manually...not happened yet though, fortunately).

Being evergreen in these matters I clearly do not know that this is the way to look at it but simplistically 153,624,000 shares at £1.31 gives a MC of £201,247,440.
If we receive £30,000,000 and without factoring any of the myriad of matters that would influence the value and simply show the MC at £231,247,440 with a share dilution of 15% there would be 180,734,117 shares which would produce an share price of 127.94.

So for a hypothetical 3p per share we would have acquired an 85% holding (and 85% profit retention) in a monopoly serving the whole of the Chinese market.

Project forward the profit potential - adopt any reasonable leading PE ratio and the increase in the share price would be many many multiples of the 3p per share.

From NR's tweet the suggestion was that this would be the model that the other regions and Global companies would have to adopt for future partnership arrangements.

This is perhaps too simplistic and naive with no greater accuracy than a wet finger in the air but at least it tells me which way the wind is blowing.

At each tier of development I may have a smaller slice but my goodness just look at the size of the cake. happy days. (as always DYOR and GLALTHs)

Hello Shavian, affc21, lovat

1. Lovat thanks for feedback. Did you notice that 'reporting point' was for a very
small 'short'.

2. Shavian I have 6 of them 250 Watt PV panels that do about 1.2 KW from 11:30
till 17:00 this time of year (no clouds conditions).

I use the electric for the air sourced heat pump, 18 KW rated, max consumes
about 1.8 KW when 12 deg C outside, matched to underfloor heating - 1st choice.

Then I use it for hot water via an Immersun modulator - 2nd choice.
Then I use it for pool pump - 3rd choice.

I use cheep rate elec 07:00 up to 12:00/13:00 for the heat pump as well.
Cheep rate about 40% of afternoon price.

Very pleased with it all and something to 'fiddle with' in life !

3. affc21 - I may get some solar thermal panels but I don't think I need the tube
type because our ambient temp not as low as UK and I have heard rumours of the
things breaking down here because so hot in summer.
I will maybe 'pre heat' my incomming hot water.

Sorry, bit of a distraction with market not open eh !

I think that BIGT have maybe earned their seat at the table given their past 5 years collaboration with Manchester and the resource and knowledge they already have. The message to us PI's is that they expect a multiple return on investment in VRS, on the very same class of shares that we, and Neill, own.

You have to accept that the share price doesn't always reflect what you hope for( believe me I would like £3)If the opportunity is so big, sometimes you have to swallow it and get going to capitalise on the chance to be a global gisnt

I'm wondering if BIGT actually insisted on taking a shareholding in the company or simply offered to do it (possibly at an agreed 'no less than' price to enable us to raise the cash needed.

It could be that in future deals we don't have to give away shares in the company, we could raise the cash needed for the injection to create an new WFOE from profits.

I hasten to add that I am musing on the optimistic side here, but it is possible.

Agree BF, this may be why Neill has said that they will et up to 15%. if the share price doubles from here we would only (possibly) have to part with 7.5%

lucky. if an Aecom deal is announced before the (up to) 15% sale takes place, I would hope the sale would be at a price much higher than today's price, or even £2.

lucky, that £30m could be the 15% we are required to inject...from that wiki article..

"As a WFOE is a type of limited liability company, it requires the injection of foreign funds to make-up the registered capital; something unnecessary with a Representative Office. Normally 15% of the total investment needs to be injected within one month after obtaining the business license starting from 50,000 USD.
