Why haven't you filtered NYBoy? I have had him on for months and he usually appears when the share price is dropping (which it is)

NYBoy another poster that can be seen popping up here and there pushing latest agenda ... v v short term trader with no scruples. Unfortunately advfn seems to attract them. The very fact that post gets 2 tick ups suggests that there are a few appearing here with an agenda.

SuperG, you posed a question yesterday on the amount of graphene that might make people sit up and take notice.

So, what might be achievable over the medium term ??? Here are a couple of guesses where everyone that’s interested can play around with the numbers, loadings and market share etc.

Example 1 – Tyres:

- No of new cars and light vans sold last year in UK approx. 2.75m
- Average no of tyres per vehicle (some with/without spare), say 4.5
- This gives a market size of approx. 12.5m new tyres
- Assume each vehicle in UK replaces one tyre per year - adds another 37m
- So total new tyres in UK per year - guess at 50m
- Assume 2g graphene per tyre, this gives around 100 tonnes required if all new tyres affected just for the UK

Now, given the volume per manufacturer I would further guess that each would need a containerised production module, probably financed by the manufacturers, hence little capital outlay by VRS and a nice licence fee earned

Example 2 – plastic bottles:
Eg. Milk, fizzy drink, ketchup etc to reduce plastic usage/weight by 50%

- The big 4 supermarkets have around 6000 stores between them
- Assume they sell a tiny 1000 bottles per day per store
- Assume average bottle weight is 20g
- Assume 0.1% graphene by weight or 0.02g

That gives a total graphene requirement of 6000 x 1000 x 0.02 grammes or 120kg per day

Or 44 tonnes per year, most probably supplied in polygrene pellets

Then add on all the other uses, MOUs, collaborations etc that have been spoken about and the fantastic research by Ellis for new uses every day, then surely that must excite one or two. Then there are inks to think about as well, oh and batteries / supercaps

Thoughts anyone?

Baz

This is just jam tomorrow outfit, no meaningful rns, no wonder investirscare cashing in here, buying more (STX), 50% in a few weeks , makes this one a poor return on investment.

Tim. I actually do believe in the Company. That doesn't change my impatience. I also believe in Love and Marriage but the same caveats apply there.
As to prattling on on the positive side. I have nothing to add of any real worth other than regurgitating news from elsewhere as many others do and which is often irrelevant.
Like I said the guys who will really make the difference are working at VRS this very moment and are very likely less nervous than most investors because they know more and enjoying their jobs.

Likewise Ellis I've been underwater since I got in at £1.50 last summer. Patiently waiting and appreciative of the incredible amount of graft and mileage being put in by Neill and the team. Here's to 2019 GLA

Ellissj, I agree the best returns will be made by those who can hold through the ups and downs, like most good stocks to be fair. All of my direct family hold shares in VRS so we certainly believe things will prove a great investment going forward.

pshev, I have only invested as much as I can afford to lose but was fortunate to buy a large amount of shares at between 10-15p. I know you are a long term holder here but I guess I just don’t understand why when you have so much of your cash tied up here you appear so down on the stock? To invest so much here something must have made you believe this company are going to do great things and bring great returns surely? Or did you just get carried away and buy too many?

I don't think he forgets raf, just acknowledging the returns made over a longer time frame. Some need the perspective. I was underwater for the first 6 months here from jun16, and tbf the share price has declined from october highs along with many in the general market. This consolidation phase is in our favour too. All part and parcel of stocks. Aimo. Best ellis

There are many holders who bought in the run up to over £1.80 last year. Neill’s tweet on the share price doesn’t make it any easier for them to hold at the moment. Yes, those who got in early have done well but all investors count.

He also seems to be forgetting the "lucky" investors who were able to buy at 145p through Primary Bid a few months ago

I hope you are right Tim. I have every faith in NR and the team at VRS and am sure they will deliver a good return in time. I just think sometimes he forgets where the price has come down from, effectively by a third from its high.

rafboy, I took that tweet to mean good things happen to those who are patient and to give some hope to those who may not be doing as well as they would have liked at the moment.

Hi Laginaneil

That was posted on 01.1.15 - 1:00PM PST

If you haven't listened to the post that Tom Thumb posted early, it is well worth listening to the whole thing,

It is the CEO of GEIC James Baker talking to the Graphene Council.
Its only 32 mins

Like I tweeted to Neill. It's half a glass but I'm happier if someone is topping it up.

"pshevlin you are correct in this statement but I have only ever seen the negative side of the argument from you on here certainly for as long as I can remember. Are you just a glass half empty type?2

The positive side is that I have 2/3 of my (our, my wife's and mine) liquid wealth invested here. What about you?

Other than that all I can add is speculative or even downright misleading.

Good evening folks,
I was reading this article:

I am not sure what date is but wondered if anybody new about progress on
"Graphene paper" ? What is it? is it any use or a dead duck?

Why do I never seem to see VRS mentioned, are people living in a vacuum or do you have to pay to get mentioned?

In Dubai airport last week I met and talked with a man from Hong Kong, about 70 maybe. I asked him what was country like now China running it. He pulled a face
and said "not so good".
I also mentioned I was invested in a company doing business in China.
He gave little 'chuckle' and said "ah do you have profit yet?"

I am glad we have a lot of potential in the rest of the world because UK government support or not IP theft or stuff going out the back door at factories
is a very difficult 'nut to crack'.
I see Trump et al maybe able to sell them soya beans but IP seems a sticker.

I agree on micro level, handykart. It is moving around SMA200 which was in 110s to 116 to 120 to 125p now and it is following that trend line but it is still sideways considering the north movement we had.

Ashhezi, to me it looks like the share price is moving slowly higher since the end of Nov, with higher highs and lows, without a lot of big spikes. Rather than sideways.
