07/2/2019 09:32 | CS, I think we could be surprised by the speed that Tunghsu and the other Chinese companies mentioned can move. The Nanene and inks have been tested by the Chinese authorities and found to be the best out there. The problem has been that companies have been selling graphite rather than graphene and this has set the introduction of products back. No doubt that the individual companies mentioned would have tested Nanene, prior to rating with VRS. So, I am expecting a raft of orders from various Chinese companies in te not too distant future. The agreements with provinces and government will do ahead, but I do not know how long this will take to come to fruition. AECOM, and another can not be too far away. The frustration is when companies who supply many layer graphene receive orders when we are still waiting for the “big” one. There is a market for various forms of many layer commodity graphene/graphite, low value high quantity, but we are not in that market. You could always invest in one of those companies, maybe a small but safer in the short term, return would suit you. I am 69 years old and I can tell you that I am hoping for orsers very soon. However my family and especially grandchildren will be reaping the rewards for many years after I am no longer here. The world is changing rapidly and any investment needs to be future proof, VRS fits the bill. | ![]() rogerbridge
07/2/2019 09:27 | There already was a follow on order was there not? SOW mentioned in previous RNS which is basically a request for more of the good stuff. | ![]() tini5
07/2/2019 09:26 | I recall back in Nov 2017, the placing was done to buy new machinery that would increase Nanene production capacity by a large factor. Neill said in the accompanying podcast that he wouldn't have diluted himself and us unless it was for a good and immediate reason. He followed up by saying that it was a 'bloody good reason'.We all took that to mean a known order in the pipeline.Sadly though, looking back over the subsequent 15 months, I can see no evidence of what that money was used for, nor any immediate production needs that were being addressed? | ![]() festario
07/2/2019 09:24 | A follow-up order from AECOM must be on the cards. | ![]() realcooltrader
07/2/2019 09:18 | If the machines are busy and red hot then it really would be nice to have an update of sorts before the next financials are due. It would make a change from the ubiquitous MoIs. Again assuming they are making money on the product. | ![]() pshevlin
07/2/2019 09:13 | Fest - well if the new machines are busy, we should see a significant increase in revenue at the next set of figures. Unless of course they're giving the stuff away, or not getting a good price. | ![]() club sandwich
07/2/2019 08:58 | The new machines were said to be be very busy. But what are they making? and for who? Its all very strange. | ![]() festario
07/2/2019 08:53 | Wise words everybody. The key takeaways for me in the RNS were passing the ‘Chinese ISO’ testing and the involvement of Gnanomat in the vast Chinese energy storage market. Then in the poddy, NR’s hints of upscaling production machinery and athe future roll-out of modular containerised production units. As every day passes this is feeling more and more like a grown-up corporation. BTW I’m no chartist, but share price has been forming a very clear ‘pennant’ | ![]() shavian
07/2/2019 08:45 | Neill said in the poddy they have adopted a 'cautious approach' to china, quite rightly in my view. Matt w said in august the strategy was 'zero risk.' the opportunity is great, the expansion could be massive and therefore so are the associated risks. I see US trade reps back over to china next week discussing IP security among other things. I am more than content with the companys strategy and their business model per latest rns. I agree that rapid progress is being made, and holders have every reason to remain patient and wait for good news that helps to build a great company for the long term. Short term risky plays are for the birds imo. Well done neill and co thus far, confident of success here. Aimo. Dyor. Best ellis. | ![]() ellissj

07/2/2019 08:30 | "If we have defined work programmes surely we have orders???" Absolutely Woody, that's why I was saying yesterday it might help us all if we could have an occasional financial update over and above the usual ones to say some money is coming in from Nanene and related products. However they wish to phrase it. The lack of that signals the opposite. | ![]() pshevlin
07/2/2019 08:25 | Possibly but defined work programs could also mean defined program of testing and development as opposed to large commercial order. Either way is kind of irrelevant ... whether big commercial success is this month, next month or 6 months it looks like is coming. Particularly via one or more of the big 5. AECOM is the obvious starter for ten. | ![]() meganxmas
07/2/2019 08:25 | Like i said at the time, multiple sectors thus multiple jv potential - great business model. Vrs supply ip under licence, local partner/s supply finance. ( ltd liability companies, Profits shared per 'jv in china' article i posted) - Container factories planned for, plus traditional - per poddy. Gnanomat involved - musk buying into maxwell confirms supercaps have just got serious. Chinese not hanging about. Works identified. confident here. Aimo. Dyor. "...In parallel with this strategy, the Company also seeks to enter into or create one or more joint ventures arrangements with those partners incorporating a local manufacturing plant. A licence over the Company's technology will be granted to each joint venture in conjunction with strategic investment by the partner..." "..Since entering into these relationships in the later part of last year the rate of progress has been impressive and we are now at the stage where we have defined work programmes with a number of the partners." | ![]() ellissj
07/2/2019 08:24 | Could be that they have been advised to wait for the dreaded B saga to be resolved? | ![]() ewads
07/2/2019 08:19 | Woody - don't go asking awkward questions like that, Graham won't like it. Clear from the podcast that there are no China contracts going to happen any time soon - it seems that they'd still rather talk to new parties than ink contracts with ANY of the many many Chinese parties they've ALREADY spoken to - and that while contracts with collabs are in discussion, they will take some time to finalise. No wonder the share price is sliding - again. Seems unlikely any actual deals worth significant money will arrive for some months, whatever Graham's delusions about 5 huge deals going to drop imminently. Of course I'd love to be proven wrong... | ![]() club sandwich
07/2/2019 08:17 | Simply: Product development programmes which may require modest sample quantity orders of Nanene that aren't large enough to trigger an RNS? | chumbo1
07/2/2019 08:13 | "we have defined work programmes with a number of the partners."...If we have defined work programmes surely we have orders??? We're not going to go into such detail without them are we??? Anyone any thoughts on what that would mean otherwise? | ![]() woodpeckers
07/2/2019 08:02 | Indeed super - lots of applications/demand for vrs 2D products in that rns. I Have been reading since 6:30am about 'conductive shielding materials, replacing carbon fillers.' Per rns. Seems to be a demand for 'lightweight' materials in this sector - and graphene comes out well. Below is a good overview upon the subject re emr - but i assume other conductive shielding applications can be gained through using graphene. I've no science background, so difficult to understand. From my previous enquiry into china aerospace, i know graphene is an excellent emr shielder. But Any better informed knowledge out there ? Aimo. Best ellis Per RNS:- "Conductive shielding applications - specifically used as a conductive material in the production of shielding materials. These are designed to replace traditional conductive carbon black and meet the application requirements of high-conductivity semi-conductive shielding materials." Research paper :- 'Lightweight Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Materials and Their Mechanisms' By Liying Zhang, Shuguang Bi and Ming Liu Submitted: July 23rd 2018 Abstract "Motivated by the increase of stress over electromagnetic pollution issues arising from the fast-growing development and need for electronic and electrical devices, the demand for materials with high electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding performance has become more urgently. Considering the energy consumption in real applications, lightweight EMI shielding materials has been attentive in this field of research. In this chapter, first of all, the EM theory will be briefly discussed. Secondly, the EMI shielding performance and corresponding mechanisms of three categories of lightweight materials, such as polymer-based composites, foams and aerogels, are reviewed. Finally, the summary and conclusions of this field will be addressed..." | ![]() ellissj
07/2/2019 07:59 | looking good. "Since entering into these relationships in the later part of last year the rate of progress has been impressive and we are now at the stage where we have defined work programmes with a number of the partners. In conjunction with the GEIC and the other facilities and expertise available to the Company we are confident that we can make rapid progress this year with the commercialisation of graphene enhanced products both in China and globally with our partners." | ![]() jointer13
07/2/2019 07:48 | Now go back and read the rns carefully there is some very important and material info in it. That’s why the new nomad made it regulatory. | ![]() superg1
07/2/2019 07:47 | Shares, and funds that may want some. There is a typical expectation that all companies will have funds holding plenty. So as a new arrival with material interest they will find is an empty cupboard. I’m mid doing some fitness at it gets hot. The answer is a fan but being winter they are hard to get hold of at short notice. The VRS shop open for MMs to collect shares in times of need is seeing the few shelves starting to empty. The MMs won’t know that. All they will find is CLOSED for business. Hopefully that will time with the hot weather (1 of the big 5 deals) arriving. Such big things attract those lurking bit the shelves will be bare, no major fans to cool it. | ![]() superg1
