Within this week's rns there was one area of development which did include a timeframe; "-- The development of graphene-enhanced winter sports equipment, specifically targeted at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, to be held in Beijing..."

Preparations for that event - one in which China will want and expect gold medals aplenty - are already under way. And any totally new technologies that weren't envisaged when olympic rules were last updated will have to already be approved. 2022 might sound a long way off but in Olympic event preparation it isn't, it's happening now, urgently. Testing will be live, in winter events that are scheduled around the world

I see phil hammond at #sensorcity on 1st feb. Lots of sensor equipment laid out on a table hammy is looking at. Any graphene or hbn sensor products on there ? Best ellis Here's pic link:

Philip Hammond @PhilipHammondUK

"The North West is home to some amazing innovators, like those I met at
@SensorCityUK today who are making great advances in technology – that’s why in the last 5 years we’ve backed £2.5bn of investment in the region’s entrepreneurs."

About sensor city :

"We are a global hub for the development of sensor technologies.

From our purpose-built base in Liverpool we offer existing companies and budding entrepreneurs the technical expertise, business support and international platform needed to collaborate, develop, fund and promote sensor solutions to a global market."

That's a big 7 then not big 5 :) and it's more than that actually. Did you forget about the sport apparel manufacturer who's products are ubiquitous (Nike)? High margin, potentially high volumes for both Nanene and Graphinks, and maybe more importantly high public visibility thanks to Nike's incredible marketing.
And what about Arrow GreenTech? Huge volumes for Graphinks I was told. Not long ago this BB was only talking about that.
And before we know it there will be other big players involved. Just a few months/weeks ago we didn't even know the existence of 7 out of the 9 companies listed above... So we are likely going to hear about other big players in other sector.

If I was a betting man AECOM, airplane seats, axia, tongshu, global fmcg plastic bottles (with global chemical major supporting supply chain for film blown graphene enhanced bottles). As Superg1 says when you model out the breadth of opportunity within just one of these accounts in the very near term (tonnes not Kgs) it's no wonder that john t is in Europe looking at even bigger scale up machines and automated process to manufacture at greater scale. Ignore the share price, focus on the business execution (strong and focused plan), look for subtle changes in language in announcements (becoming more positive each time) and just sit back and wait for what is obviously going to happen re: material sales orders ... this is now not an if but a when IMO

BTW who are the "big 5" and since when is that a thing? Tungshu, AECOM, CTCE, AXIA, Jinan HTFI ?

superg1, gotcha, so we just need a bit more ⏳ and a much bigger 🚀

More seriously, I do have the same expectations as you as to the quantity of graphene that will ultimately be required for all these various applications, I am just not so sure about the timeframe. I think I expect it to take a bit longer than you do, although I would be delighted if it happens as quickly as you think.

Amazing to be part of that industrial revolution .
If it’s anything like the Tony Seba presentation suggests .
Then it will be a once in a lifetime journey I’m on the train sitting back .
A Happy journey to us all new and old investors

The Rns just get better and better never imagined we would be speaking with global players like we are now!!
Amazing

Apologies if this has already been posted, but well worth a listen.
At 32 minutes in James Baker says that GIEC has signed its 4th,5th and 6th teir one partners due to be announced shortly. Obviously we know that Tungshu were the 4th signatory so it will be interesting to know who 5 and 6 are.
This story gets more compelling by the day

Ignoring some idiots we get from time to time, plenty of us here have known each other for some years now and pre VRS.

Make no mistake my thoughts on what is connected to the big 5 is way above what anyone here has dared to even guess at.

All in good time and hopefully when the funds lot have smiled themselves stupid on the profit they have made on VRS when they have sold their last share.

I know plenty of you were in Asos at the start and made a 'shrewd' exit for 30% 50% and even double your money.

An industrial revolution is in play and VRS are there right at the front trying to burst into the lead.

Is it just me wondering if Neill is hinting at another acquisition or am I barking up the wrong tree?

“The company put up its greatest treasures, specialist tools, for sale. ITME, when I still worked in it, created unique materials with those tools. In some cases, they were the only such materials in the world. I’m sure that they could be further developed, ..."

radar absorption, I am imagining the defence possibilities, coating aircraft, ships, who knows it probably doesn't reflect sonar waves and will be on Submarines as well.

When an entire country throws in the towel and urgently needs to play catchup - who can they turn to?

The big shakeout has begun. Game on. Poland will not be the last to concede defeat and seek partnerships.
