08/2/2019 10:43 | Ashhezi, to me it looks like the share price is moving slowly higher since the end of Nov, with higher highs and lows, without a lot of big spikes. Rather than sideways. | ![]() handykart

08/2/2019 10:37 | Lets hope so Ashehzi. I think some on here have forgotten that first and foremost they are investors and are here to make profits. I am really pleased to have found something to invest in that is extremely interesting, ethical and is groundbreaking science but I don't kid myself like some that I am playing much of a role in the company other than help support the share price in an extraordinarily minor way. The real guys doing this are at work today in Versarian and Gnanomat. Despite the interest, if I thought this wasn't going to make large profits on my investment in the fairly near future I would be looking elsewhere. | ![]() pshevlin
08/2/2019 10:32 | "Yes you may get lucky but it's always best to take into consideration both sides of the argument."pshevlin you are correct in this statement but I have only ever seen the negative side of the argument from you on here certainly for as long as I can remember. Are you just a glass half empty type? | ![]() tim3416
08/2/2019 10:30 | Pshelvin ... don't see anything that I would class as whingeing in your post. I would agree with most of it but I guess personally am more relaxed on timescales. I get frustrated with those that knock NR, his team and what they are doing with in my opinion very little to back up the arguments. Collaborations of the type VRS are involved in, particularly where moving up the value chain and / or protecting IP take real time to deliver. I sometimes think too many investors and not just here expect too much too soon and sometimes, not always demonstrate no understanding of how businesses operate. Notwithstanding all of the above I remain hopeful of some material developments via AECOM or other/s sooner rather than later. | ![]() meganxmas
08/2/2019 10:28 | PShev... In summary: @markminervini A good number of stock breakouts have failed to follow through and some have outright failed. This is a classic sign of retail buying pushing them out but a lack of institutional interest to keep them going. Not a market to get aggressive in. Above was a general comment. Now coming over to VRS. 1. Yes IIs are missing and PIs are supporting creating a new floor at 120 range. Leaders go sideways in such times while laggards fall quickly. 2. But leaders also emerge during such times after sideways movement. As everyone hopes here to see material news in near future, it should breakout when the time comes. | ![]() ashehzi

08/2/2019 10:20 | I think the main reason that the share price is where it is is that Funds have been divesting in a fairly orderly fashion but only private investors have taken their place. In many ways that can be a good thing but at some point we do need bigger players to take an interest. At the moment we seem to be either too small or too large for some fund managers and we also are in a situation where it is difficult to quantify what we could eventually be worth. Hardly any tipsters have taken a look at us to date. There was or is supposed to be a cornerstone player involved in buying shares but we have had no confirmation of that. no-one has popped up above the level where they need to report. As I said, very frustrating and for those who just dismiss such concerns as whinging I would say that your one dimensional view actually makes you a very poor investor. Yes you may get lucky but it's always best to take into consideration both sides of the argument.I am still a strong holder until I see evidence that shows a reason to be otherwise but like many on here I wish the market would get a move on and look forward with some impatience for a real deal to emerge. (Which I am sure will happen) | ![]() pshevlin
08/2/2019 09:53 | MJ10. I started buying at 19.5p. But then again, the last lot I bought was £1k's worth before Christmas. I'm in profit on the first lots, underwater on the last lot. So it goes. Whatever I bought at and whatever my stake is worth is irrelevant: the only question is whether and when Ricketts will start delivering on the undoubtedly huge value of the IP locked inside VRS. 124p a share for a company with the alleged global contacts and potential of VRS? Ridiculous. In fact positively shocking. If the markets had confidence in Ricketts and the company did any PR whatsoever the share price should/would be anywhere between 300p and 500p IMO. And why don't they have confidence? Why haven't the overwhelming majority of IIs and PIs even heard of his company? Because the only thing he's good at is talking, not delivering actual contracts, orders, revenues and profits. Personally I'm still hoping for a takeover - Ricketts may think he has all the time in the world to deliver something (anything), but I'm hoping others have shorter timeframes... | ![]() club sandwich
08/2/2019 09:52 | Lots of whining here this morning. Fascinating to see how various individuals behave. Think too many are used to the AIM lottery where shares shoot up (and down) with little justification. VRS is a developing company that with the partnerships (academic, government, national agencies and corporate) has demonstrated remarkable progress in what could be a key part of future world technology. Along the way it has attracted many admirers especially private investors who in such a situation can sometimes get in ahead of the game . Institutions will follow but by nature are more cautious than private investors and will wait to see firm orders and growing revenues some will even wait for profitability. That creates opportunities for individual investors. NR and team don't need vast swathes of institutional money ... yet ... they might one day ... they are developing this business very well thank you very much with cash resources in place. As for government and associated individuals who is to say some are not already buying as individuals ? There has been buying as Miton at al have offloaded (as share price has pointed out because they needed to generate funds for redemptions) otherwise price would have not consolidated at these levels. In summary I see no problem with where share price is today, I see no need to rush orders, collaborations and announcements ... they will all come in good time. I see every reason to ignore the whingers like you know who !! | ![]() meganxmas

08/2/2019 09:09 | grabster - nice one ;-) It's a perfectly legitimate question to ask though. To listen to Graham and others VRS are putting in place the infrastructure for a global 2D materials empire - presumably to be unveiled in some big reveal at some point in the (distant, the way things are going) future. That may well be the case - obviously I hope it is. But if it *is* the case, are the people on this BB the *only* people in the world who know about it? You trying to tell me there aren't any civil servants out there advising friends, family and contacts in the City to Buy Buy Buy ahead of that reveal? Occam's Razor suggests that the reason there's no sustained strong buying is because, in fact, NOTHING is close to being revealed, there are NO contracts close to being signed. We'll know when a China/Korea/Aecom/Ja [edit] In fact, when you factor in the DIT, now apparently the Treasury, lawyers, consultants etc etc etc there must be many scores of people who know exactly where VRS is with their various negotiations. It doesn't appear that *any* off those people are buying in quantity (not yet, at least). It's just us mug punters who keep buying... | ![]() club sandwich
08/2/2019 09:08 | - - - "The company (Ford) had been trying for years to incorporate graphene into hard plastics to make them stronger and stiffer. The goal was to replace some metal components in cars. But, according to Debbie Mielewski, the company's senior technical leader for emerging materials, these attempts were unsuccessful. "We can't even get it into an extruder," she said." - - - Ford, we know, went with XG for graphene in polyurethane foam. But the explanation of how they ended up with that arrangement kinda confirms that one of the companies that have failed to show Ford a successful use of graphene in hard plastics, is the one they are working with - XG. XG have been unable to provide Ford with a graphene that works in hard plastics - and Debbie Mielewski appears to accept that it therefore isn't possible (!) Perhaps she needs to get out more. | ![]() grabster
08/2/2019 09:03 | Club does have a point though if you take the emotion out of it. If Government really do think this is the next big thing why aren't a lot of them (the rich ones) investing? Maybe they aren't allowed to but knowing this shower I'm not so sure.It is all a bit frustrating at the moment. Lots happening behind the scenes but only seen though a darkened glass. Hope we have a very quiet day today. | ![]() pshevlin
08/2/2019 08:37 | ABOUT Through TAFTIE (The European Network of Innovation Agencies) a group of 29 organisations from 28 European countries has established an intense collaboration in the field of the implementation of national technology Programmes. This is to the benefit of both their governments and regular customers. The Association allows the national organisations to learn best practices from an analysis of how other members run their affairs. It also enables them to collaborate at a European level. This is of utmost importance since the landscape for industrial R&D has extended trends already visible in Europe earlier on. For larger firms competition is now clearly global. The pressure is for R&D to become globalised as well. The location of new R&D investment in Europe therefore is under heavy pressure now. On the one hand there is the challenge produced by the proximity of a major market like the US with its high quality science base. On the other there is the modern Defi Americain in the form of the huge Chinese marketplace with its extreme low labour costs. This creates a strong incentive for European governments to act together and to create a more favourable environment for research and innovation. In the SME sector it is now recognised that the dynamism of the smaller company is a key element of a successful economy. This trend is important for large firms too. We have a new ecology of industry in which corporate venturing, outsourcing of R&D to SMEs, specialised labs and universities has grown threefold. At the same time innovation increasingly requires close links with customers and suppliers, and with regulators who shape the market. To keep in pace with these developments and with phenomena like these open innovation systems the kind of cooperation TAFTIE offers to Members is even more important. | ![]() ellissj
