The upside (presumably) of having Tungshu working out of GEIC is that - assuming - they have influential scientists working there, VRS can speed up progress relating to their collaborations i.e. sample testing and results will be much more rapid, and thus progress to products.

I also think it's an amazing collaborative opportunity for VRS to work directly with one of their partners within the GEIC on new projects.

Don't forget that Versarien don't make Nanene at GEIC, so Tungshu won't be next door to the top secret production line!

So the fourth GEIC tier-one partner is Tungshu Optoelectronic

I posted links last year to dr martin kemp giving various composite presentations on behalf vrs - mostly ktn events. Also a cranfield event too from memory. According to linked in he is still engaged with vrs. Of course, he is one of the 'experts' advising vrs on iso too. Author of bsi 2d standards. Aimo. Best ellis

A few have applied for that CTO role. You can see how dynamic the VRS team is.

As NR said it’s not what is on your CV but more about your personality and ability to fit in with the team.

No BS, hard working and likeable are key factors.

As NR tweeted recently he judges people by their actions.

AD visited VRS at Princes Risborough about 5 years ago with I and two others. Those 2 others are still invested and post occasionally.

When AD joined VRS we ceased contact other than me saying well done re getting in.

I wonder if Andrew D is still a shareholder in VRS?As I said yesterday, he was very quickly a leading light, or so it seemed, at the company... as he was entrusted with delivering presentations.

that vacant CTO post has been there for a long time, nothing to do with Andrew. It's been there at least since June 2017..
