01/2/2019 08:03 | Lucky The good reason is Arden are as bent as F. I doubt they would call me to argue such a point as they would lose badly. | superg1
01/2/2019 08:00 | But now you aren't expecting it at 7am so maybe it is still going to be 7am;) | 1teepee
01/2/2019 07:56 | Canaccord is a step up in the world. At the time of the Primary Bid financing it sounds Arden got a bit peeved as they missed out on a placing fee which for them would have been a significant amount. There also could be a masterplan for further down the road. If they can kick a few goals in the coming months a listing on a major exchange(Asia or US) could be a sensible progression. | chillpill
01/2/2019 07:50 | Interesting divers. Of course, we don't know as yet what was discussed out in china this week. My reading is Neill was pretty clear on twitter earlier this week re favouring organic growth. Think this is the preferred model, unless the facts change? Wait and see for me :) aimo. 01/2/2019 07:48 | Canaccord have a global presence, offices in H.K and China. They look to have have some pretty big hitters on the tech side. This is definitely a step up in class. Canaccord have the global reach that VRS need. I think we would have had an rns at 7.00 if we had not changed the nomad. But Neill did say the rns would come when we did not expect it. | rogerbridge
01/2/2019 07:45 | What are your views on Canaccord chillpill (vs Arden)? | mikebrenner
01/2/2019 07:44 | NOMAD changes rarely happen overnight. Let’s hope CAG has hit the ground running. First RNS on Monday? | shavian
01/2/2019 07:43 | Just for the record First Graphene have today announced they have ditched their attempt to list on AIM until later in the year...if at all. Seems( Warrick Grigor's)his old mates at Canaccord weren't able to help. | chillpill
01/2/2019 07:41 | That’s the fourth broker since 2013 IPO. Normally that’s a sign of a company blaming the broker for its own shortcomings and low share price but we know that’s not the case here. The logical conclusion is that Canaccord can offer what VRS need and Arden can’t. I don’t believe Canaccord have a list of UK investors that Arden don’t so it’s probably for a wider geographic coverage and capability. Will Canaccord publish research? They might but it’ll be quite light on detail given the corporate cake is still baking in the oven! Definitely a step up and a positive move, although I wouldn’t expect too much straight away. AIMHO etc | lovat scout
01/2/2019 07:37 | My research could go on to show what share allocation VRS are presently allowed to utilise from the AGM. But to be honest with a significant number of articles on google and an interesting insight presented by its twitter account, the fun is in the digging. Enjoy. But remember the company has so many options available to it, this is only one theory/opinion. | diversification
01/2/2019 07:36 | Lol admit who got excited by the 1 in the column at 7am, ok back to bed another nothing day here. Wake me up if we go up a few pence | ny boy
01/2/2019 07:35 | Spud We allready voted at the AGM to allow VRS to raise 50 million if needed.to expand fingers crossed we have to as it will be the next big leep forward for the company | ratpat999
01/2/2019 07:32 | Ellis, spot on. ‘Our global perspective and cross-border capabilities enable us to identify strategic opportunities and deliver coordinated services across our offices around the world.’ This supports our next phase of international expansion. While the competetion are raising funds to stay afloat beyond the end of the year, VRS are considering strategic funding packages for industrial expansion imo. We know JV’s are on the cards from David’s presentation at the GEIC meeting. From my research and also identified by SG in the groups annual accounts, Tunghsu group have a habit of taking a position in its partner. We know as a company NR has the shareholders best interests at heart and as such any deal will keep dilution to a minimum, but when you consider Tunghsu Group offer a gateway into China for the sale of its material. I remain quite excited at the prospect of Tunghsu adopting a model similar to Samsung, Apple and NEC’s stake ownership of Imagination Technologies. The difference being Tunghsu takes a position as security to fund VRS’s financial commitment in the JV. Our new brokers international offices will help support this and the more you research into Tunghsu the more excited you get. I might be completely wide of the mark and this is my opinion only. DYOR. | diversification
01/2/2019 07:32 | luckykids - I'm not suggesting it was. Merely dismissing the assertion that a nomad/broker change is never good. ;-) | grabster
01/2/2019 07:29 | Bet canaccord liked their research of vrs. Geic getting a chinese rocket boost yesterday. US and Indian ambition per midas ceo. According to baker - 100 industry partners engaging with geic before xmas. I imagine plenty more to follow the next 12 mos? With NPL providing a characterisation service to those firms, vrs looks set fair to enjoy a good year. Better get a bigger hopper to fill neil & co :) aimo. Glalth. Best ellis | ellissj
01/2/2019 07:27 | all lining up nicely. | jointer13
01/2/2019 07:25 | Hi Grabster, I know them quiet well. Warwick Grigor will know them much better, He used to work for them and sold his business to them, I really wonder why VRS need a new broker, Is VRS looking at raising more money ? Expansion is always great, but some were bragging that VRS was only spending around $60k per month, | spid81
01/2/2019 07:25 | I thought the last ones had gone a bit stale of late, albeit after a good start, so happy with the change to a well recognised Co . Good. | scottishfield
01/2/2019 07:24 | Canaccord’s AIM Broker Client list looks pretty extensive, including IQE since 2003. The LSE list below quotes no NOMAD data, but CAG is also NOMAD to many on the list: | shavian
01/2/2019 07:23 | Thanks MoneySquirrel. Perhaps the capability for dual listing on another market (e.g. Hong Kong) part of the longer term thinking here? | redstone64
01/2/2019 07:23 | I think this is key...DYOR | f3rdinand
01/2/2019 07:21 | That wasn't to with the nomad grabster unless you think the collabs were done by them | luckykids
01/2/2019 07:21 | Arden didn't last long, it sounds like a case of onwards and upwards, we will be needing a more capable company working with us, I'm sure our usual experts in this field will add some meat to the bones. | 772
01/2/2019 07:21 | Can accord will get them more profile and airtime with bigger institutional investors across the globe. Fact. | 2dinvestor
01/2/2019 07:20 | Hmmm, an office in Hong Kong. “The ability to list companies on ten Stock Exchanges.” | realcooltrader |
