19/11/2018 14:33 | The JTC show is always a good listen. I love the way Justin's been primed with questions. It's used car salesman stuff at its best.... Justin: So this graphene sells at $100,000/kg - shamazing! Neill: Oh I couldn't possibly comment wink wink its a closely guarded secret, nudge nudge. It sells for much more than graphite. Readers might like to note that graphite sells at around $2-3/kg. | ![]() loglorry1
19/11/2018 14:32 | Well then leave NR alone so he can get on with it... | ![]() bootie64
19/11/2018 14:29 | Interesting that Justin mentioned again (2 podcasts on the trot) about VRS being a takeover target. He's obviously thinking along very similar lines to me. VRS is developing potentially huge value with its collabs and now China. It's all very well NR saying 'it takes as long as it takes', but the vulture capitalists *won't* wait for that value to be realised, they'll pounce long before then to get that value at a discount. You ask me, VRS's race isn't with competitors - since they don't seem to have any for the high-quality graphene they produce: the race is whether VRS can start releasing that value before they get taken over on the cheap... | club sandwich
19/11/2018 14:23 | Yes Horndean. It was great news. Further affirmation that Versarien are leading the world in graphene production and in particular high grade graphene-nanene. VRS on now well on the way to having graphene production in a number of countries starting with China, then India and the US and more. | ![]() phoenixs
19/11/2018 14:21 | Clubbie I am really struggling to see why Neill should give you a stick to beat him with, particularly given your track record. | ![]() ridicule
19/11/2018 14:13 | You'll notice how NR completely side-stepped Justin's very direct question about timelines to actually producing nanene. Not even a rough ballpark estimate... | club sandwich
19/11/2018 14:10 | Great news today. The Chinese look like they want to pour millions into building a factory so they can also sell a couple of kg of graphene. Its fully plausible. I heard the Chinese are always looking for dodgy ways to spend money on infrastructure in order to keep the economy going. they have probably run out of ideas re bridges that go nowhere and have decided to build factories that won't sell anything. RNS reach says it all really. Anything price sensitive or material is an official RNS. Anything that isn't goes on rns reach. Ring the nomad up and ask them to clarify that point. | ![]() horndean eagle

19/11/2018 13:59 | "So to be clear - NR not only spends considerable time each day on Twitter and monitoring this BB (a job better suited for an intern, surely, with instructions to flag up any particularly interesting posts?)" - CS Probably a tiny fraction of the time you spend, Sandwich, and regarding Twitter, can't you see you're part of the problem? If there wasn't the incessant nagging and telling him how to do his job, it would be a lot easier for NR. And that goes for you too, Sonny - persistent Twitter drivel. | ![]() axotyl
19/11/2018 13:57 | NR has also refused to acknowledge that market participants with short positions serve any useful purpose, even when exposing 100% provable fraud. He seems to have a problem with shorters making money from exposing frauds and would rather that frauds are not uncovered in this way. Apparently he's off to go and do some research to find out if a short seller has ever uncovered a fraud. I guess he needs to check out Muddy Waters, Citron research, Viceroy and many others. I find it a troubling attitude that he would rather spend his day doing this and delivering Teddy bears rather than selling material amounts of Graphene. | ![]() loglorry1
19/11/2018 13:55 | diverse Need to clear 138 resistance imo | ![]() bootie64
19/11/2018 13:51 | To add to my previous post, I don't think highly successful people (Think Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg) view life the way us mere mortals do. To most of us a 24 hour day means 8 hours sleep, 8 hours of work (or pretending to work) and 8 hours enjoying our hobbies and spending time with our family. That is not the kind of attitude it takes to grow a firm like Versarien into a FTSE 100 company which is exactly I am sat here typing on a bulletin board and Neill is CEO. | foolishben
19/11/2018 13:48 | Three things that have made today a good one for me with regards VRS: 1) Scrutable's excellent, calm, reflective yet uplifting post - thank you 2) Neill's wonderful gesture and 3) From the RNS: 'Experts at the demonstration meeting consider that the graphene technology of Versarien has certain world leading position'. Can't beat being nice towards one another allied with good news :) | ![]() ad63
19/11/2018 13:48 | We still have a pesky seller dumping 10-20k of shares just above 130p, once that is over, expect a decent leg up | ![]() ny boy
19/11/2018 13:48 | Chimp - yes, yes I am ;-) | club sandwich
19/11/2018 13:46 | a massive problem with fake graphene, so called graphene companies claiming they produce graphene when in fact it is graphite "It is alarming to uncover that producers are labelling black powders as graphene and selling them for top dollar, while in reality, they contain mostly cheap graphite" | ![]() jointer13
19/11/2018 13:44 | Wow Club, even for you that is a pretty negative way of viewing a very kind gesture. My impression is that for the next few years, Neill is absolutely dedicated to his work, which includes shareholder relations. I can't imagine he's going to cancel a meeting with a multi-national company to pay Scrutable a visit, much more likely he will fit it in amongst other commitments and it's his personal life that will take a back seat. | foolishben
19/11/2018 13:39 | @Scrutable -I wish you at least another decade of good life to witness VRS come to full fruition. | ![]() fuji99

19/11/2018 13:34 | Welcome back scrutable - great to hear from you. Very kind gesture from Neill which highlights just what a top man he is. We're lucky to have such an honourable person as CEO. Something that can't be said for most CEOs of AIM listed companies.. | ![]() a_game

19/11/2018 13:33 | Was watching first episode of 'trust' this weekend. John paul getty explaining oil was in everything to his grandson ! Couldn't help but likewise see the potential of 2D materials here. Thus as company grows, so does it's potential, exponentially. Thats my reasoning ! Each to their own. Aimo. Best ellis | ellissj |
