"these introductions will be the precursor to deals."

why? none of the introductions to date have led to deals? it will just be yet more distractions for an already-overstretched mgmt team.

that's a bit flip: of course collabs and introductions come first, then the deals. but I'll ask again - where are the deals for the collabs and introductions that have *already happened*?

jkok1: re your:

I have been looking at the posts with more attention than usual as I have a particular interest in China. To whoever asked about graphene companies in the Far East here is one. I have joined the band who want things to happen quickly as we may be missing some golden opportunities. Still happy overall though.

We will probably always miss opportunities to supply low grade graphene (graphite).
Why because - my guess - as there are other companies out there doing it, it will not be particularly profitable.

However, high quality graphene is needed for significantly increasing strength such as in composites i.e. for use in vehicles, trains, aircraft, buildings etc.

And it is absolutely clear China don't have that ability, hence their interest in VRS.

Best wishes - Spike

Mj10. I believe the june date was floated by jinjan right at the beginning, when it was just them. Clearly the game changed after the PM's china trade trip when interest mushroomed. And it's changed again today. Dyor. Best ellis

Graphene is a material that has always been there, what we have done is invent a process for making it cost effectively, high quality and in quantity. I think at best your comments are inaccurate , have you been drinking again?

All true but #VRS didn't invent/discover Graphene. They bought some patents for £600k for a method of producing. Neill's art of deal making is clearly much more Trump than Musk [sounds smelly]

Two conspiracy theories about why NR felt the necessity to put out a Non-Regulatory RNS (there's tautology for you) this morning?

1. He felt so pressured by Kempster and Co that he had to say something about China to stop us all from selling up.

2. He's off to the USA next week and it would be nice to have Quingdao down on paper to wave at the Congressional bods he's alleged to be briefing on graphene.

Which one do you prefer? Or do you have any others?

Am I bovvered? Not with a motto like Festina Lente...

(remember the old adage about the old bull and the young bull)

CS, these introductions will be the precursor to deals. I would imagine that such deals will conclude quicker by having the province on board to help iron out any perceived difficulties.

Pshevlin, to a degree you are correct. However, in this instance we are obliged to take things on trust. That is I believe that NR is completely up front and would never mislead investors. If you have doubts about that then you should move on.

Lol How do I break #groundhogday? This patent was after our patent with University of Ulster that underpins the Nanene process. It was a slight variation that we pursued but WE chose not to pursue. The original patent protects against this. We were protecting shareholder value.

I wonder if #VRS has overcome the problem below described in their patent application "Methods for the production of 2D materials" [WO 2016/0630"

pshevlin - I will continue to have doubts until the first large, significant, valuable order(s) arrive(s). only then will I relax.

anyone who doesn't is a fool, you ask me.

rafboy - "The province will facilitate introductions" VRS doesn't need any more introductions, they have prospective customers coming out of their ears. what they *need* is to convert existing contacts into orders.

realcool - so the obvious question is, why XG's graphene and not VRS's? It clearly says 'graphene' and not graphene oxide or anything else.

so a direct competitor to VRS, both selling graphene, has a deal with a massive automative company. VRS doesn't. And people criticise my impatience?

VRS needs to pull its finger out. Now.

It is possible that these companies are happier using lower grade graphene than VRS are supplying but that begs the question as to whether we should be muscling in on that as well (perhaps we are). If our Graphene is very expensive it would have to make a huge difference to some products to warrant its use.

I think some of you need to listen to the latest podcast again. NR makes very clear that these things take time to get right. He also expands on the 2nd part of the RNS this morning. The province will facilitate introductions, will help with red tape and will open the right doors to potential customers. Remember that is just one province and we are talking with over 30 China entities.

Also China is only one country, yes a large one I agree. However, we are talking with India, the US and Indonesia amongst others. It all takes time but we are government backed and the deals will happen. Bleating about the time it takes won’t make them happen any quicker.

Sorry but it needs to be said, you either trust in VRS and NR or you don’t. If you don’t then best sell up and move on. Me, I am staying, as are the rest of my immediate family. We can wait.
