The China RNS clocks ticking. From todays RNS 'We are conscious that we need to establish formal relationships with the most appropriate parties...as well as conclude the best deal for Versarien and its shareholders.'

So, If you know that they only post lies and bs why do some people keep reading them? Not only that but for those who have these people filtered they still read replies to them from others. I note you had temporary bans in place for such people last week. Personally if I know the butler did it I don't want to read the book again. There are a lot of good posts on this board but none of them are from trolls.

Do you bulls think that VRS has granted patent protection for the process used to produce Nanene?

loglorry - Nobody is surprised at you picking holes in today's announcement

What I am totally surprised at is that despite countless, countless, requests people still read and even engage with trolls. Life's too short to waste it reading drivel. Join a library or something.

Indeed woody, a win/win deal. That allows vrs to progress their business model (outlined in the original LOI) around the world successfully to my mind. Which if so, is a big stumbling block surmounted. Think how chinese jv's for example usually run. Thus In essence, this 'framework' agreement sits nicely with the interests of lth and is the basis for future 'right' deals/contracts to be negotiated. Therefore, i can see how the game has likely moved on with this rns. Aimo. Dyor. Best ellis

Just my take on this morning's rns, the new agreement with Qingdao sounds like a really good deal.

In return for "mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of graphene development, research and industrialisation", they are offering us assistance with establishing:

- "partnerships and business relationships with Chinese enterprises"

- "identifying any appropriate strategic investors"

- a China-based operating company in the form of a “Sino-foreign cooperative enterprise” or “Sino-foreign joint venture”

- a "principle place(s) of business in China to develop the Company’s Chinese market"

and to top it all they might even be "making capital contributions to the Venture."

Neill's comment got me wondering about the Jinan agreement : " detailed consideration is being given as to how a Jinan facility would fit with the Company’s overall China strategy". His recent tweet commenting that the Qingdao agreement "gives us access to more customers and organisations which supports activities in Jinan" made me look up Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce. I presume they are an arm of the government. These are some of the responsibilities a Municipal Bureau of Commerce has:

6. Study and formulate policies and measures for external economic cooperation and development; take charge of work related to bilateral economic and technical assistance between the city and foreign countries; manage overseas project contracting and labor service cooperation; and guide investment overseas.
7. Study the city's development strategies for the utilization of foreign capital, put forward mid- and long-term development programs and annual plans and organize their implementation, regulate foreign investment and guide its promotion, and strengthen economic cooperation and exchanges with Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Region.

8. Establish the city's early warning system for fair trade, organize investigations of industrial damages, coordinate anti-dumping and anti-subsidies efforts, safeguard measures and other work to ensure fair trade and coordinate all the WTO-related work of the city.

So it seems this is telling us that he really does have the Chinese government on side..." "We are making significant progress in developing our relationships in China, both with government bodies and industry. " This agreement isn't competition to the Jinan deal at all as I see it.

The patent issue was covered a few months back, with the shorters jumping on it, and NR responded on twitter that it was a dead end.

They are stirring up sh!t again and shows just how desperate they are.

MRYL......I agree and have watched the video twice,,,,,,,,,,,,

VRS is certainly one share to own BUT timing is important to find others such as Lithium where it may be that less will be eventually used so one has to be careful over who you invest in.

@Timbo

I think there were two patents. One was granted in the EU and there was an RNS to state it was also granted in the US here This was the earlier one which was applied for in 2011 which you can see here It has the Title "Process for the preparation of graphene"

It would seem a later patent application was also filed in 2015-10-20 first in the UK with number WO2016063036A1 which you can see here "Methods for the production of 2-d materials".

It is this patent which they seem to have withdrawn here (see screenshot below).

There are two points worth making here. Does the granted patent give VRS sufficient protection for the production of Nanene? If so why was a further application made?

Has the second application which was then withdrawn given away enough details to anyone seeking to replicate their process? As it has been withdrawn it clears the way for others to use the method with impunity.

Apologies in advance for any mistakes. I'm very happy to correct any pointed out.

Just wanted to say thank you to whoever first shared the Tony Seba video! I just finished it. What a talk, one of the most interesting I have ever listened to tbh.
It seems that investing now in the right companies doing Batteries, EVs, and Solar could be very profitable..
