16/9/2018 12:07 | In my post #33428 last Friday (only 2 days but already more than 200 posts ago) I offered to administer a buffet lunch after the AGM on the 25th. My post may be seen at: uk.advfn.com/cmn/fbb Since then I have heard from CFO/Company Secretary that the AGM is more likely to finish at 1pm (rather than 1:30pm I’d guessed at) to allow the directors to depart. I’ve also heard from about 20 Advfn posters who would like to buy the lunch for £11/head. If you’d also like the lunch, please private message me so I know you’re interested and I’ll tell you how to pay me. | campbed
16/9/2018 11:52 | Having mentioned it I thought Id best catch up on what is going on there before some may jump in head first. Short version (it's a miracle SG doing a short version) Martin Sorrell gets booted out of his the huge WPP a company he founded he is a wealthy guy. APP were in talks with Mediamonks and exciting growing company. Sorrel thinks FU and goes after Mediamonks. WPP warn him that he would be in breach of an agreement. They say he can't do that, Sorrell says yes I can you stopped talking to them, they say no we didn't. He ignores WPP and now we end up with the DERR situation purchase of media monks. This is where some PIs are the thread are doing the usual pump frenzy saying £1 coming and others sensible ones saying WTF you idiots don't you understand.. DER have 25 mill shares they stuck out warnings about the dilution and volatility in the share price potentially pre the deal. Good point so why relist before the deal is done?????? The acquisition would mean 25 mill shares in issue would be over 2.5 billion shares in issue. Some PIs screaming/pumping £1 coming currently 16.5p. In reality if they deal went through £1 = a market cap of over £2.5 bill for a company they would buy for £266 mill. In other words the share price at £1 would represent 10 times what the company they paid for is valued at. So the current 16.5p puts a value on a £266 mill deal as over £400 mill. So now I understand what the MMS have been doing. And the really short version. Very high risk with little gain at this time with a lot of manure in the making on the back of a FU spat. | superg1
16/9/2018 11:38 | SuperG1 you cant open a spread bet in DERR. Well not with IG or SX Spread betting companies wont normally offer positions in Companies under 10M Cap. In fact many AIM small caps companies are Closing deals only. The Myth that you can SB any Company is completely false, Micro Caps are simply not available. Ive been trading through SB CFD for 25 years so i know pretty much all there is to know in that particular market. | john henry
16/9/2018 11:36 | Indeed no :) tweets from NR recently. Just hope he's working on a RNS.....hopefully of the revenue kind :) | anotherdrink
16/9/2018 11:21 | NR gone very quiet on TwitTwoo again. Could be just an obligatory black out on the run in to the AGM of course | redchef
16/9/2018 11:19 | Just pondering more upon nanene grades super, i imagine if it is processed upto 1-3 layer, the resultant 'waste' might nevertheless be below 10 layer ; ie graphene per iso standards. Or 2 for the price of 1 ! Even if as you say minor reprocessing was required afterwards to achieve it. Assuming all of this correct. Aimo. Best ellis | ellissj
16/9/2018 11:03 | Indeed lucky, 'i imagine the big traders will be in and out at short intervals;' algorhythmically ? For average joes, the odds are against, rather like picking the national winner via a blindfold and pin method lol ! Aimo. Best ellis | ellissj
16/9/2018 10:58 | Sorry meant investment. | snoopy12
16/9/2018 10:57 | SuperG morning like you mentioned it is going to be the most volatile stock over the course of next ten days. Like I said my trading pot is separate to my trading pot . I do not consider Derr as an investment at this stage with possible diluttion but for being in and out could be some serious money the only thing I wish now was I had a double headed coin. | snoopy12
16/9/2018 10:39 | Lucky It actually only moved 2p on the day. The spreads were 15% to 25% which completely screws up the spread bet guys. That may well be the intention. EG anyone with an SB even though it rose are still sitting on a loss as the MMs never took the bid up. Where did near 40% of the shares in issue come from to have a 2p change post big hike pre open. I may get some popcorn and upgrade the seat. All good experience. If it's too good to be true............. | superg1
16/9/2018 10:00 | All of the big traders will be all over it superg, perfect storm for them and will be in and out at short intervals in case it is suspended again... not for the faint hearted as a lot will be made and lost on it if it does go wrong. | luckyorange
16/9/2018 09:46 | Of course, maybe also this share goes beyond fibbonaci to explain it's success ! And charting difficulties for those interested ? Depends where you source your inspiration from i imagine. Just a thought. Bwtfdik ! Best ellis | ellissj
16/9/2018 09:40 | Indeed alchemy, Just a bit of fun - but also nice to celebrate achievements and recognise where thanks are due ! We hope for further absurdies along the way lol ! Best ellis | ellissj
16/9/2018 09:33 | Well I like this bagging theme , Latin , Greek or whatever.Do you recall that logarithmic graph? We could be learning numbers in totally new lingos. And merging with F1 tyre lingo ....hyper bag, ultra bag..etc. | alchemy
16/9/2018 09:27 | Imo I think that's fair comment super, if you don't understand it (something) , keep out. After all, nobody undestood what bernie madoff was upto, until he 'made off' with their money ! | ellissj
16/9/2018 09:19 | Lol shavers, well done there ! I'm no scholar, but hoping for a centibag here ! ;) Best ellis. | ellissj
16/9/2018 09:09 | Lucky re DERR Warning warning is going off in my head, perhaps I don't understand it. Came out of suspension 12.41 pm Friday. Opened at 15.5p a good mark up. 25 mill shares in issues, near 10 mill were bought of and only 1.3 mill sold (basic view of trades) 8 times the amount of buys v sells and it looks like MMs opened on the bid at 15p and never went above that. In fact in the opening buy run they dropped the bid. Very odd but perhaps I don't understand it. Most of the big rise that is showing was because the MMs opened it high. I'll just watch from a cheap seat at the back. | superg1
16/9/2018 09:07 | Decabagged! Now there’s a lovely new word Ellis. I appear to ha DOdeccabagged with most of my early ones. But then it’s all Greek to me. ;0) | shavian
16/9/2018 08:57 | Shavian - well they seem to be doing very well without any PR; and I suspect that if China happens or a large order drops the press will be doing their PR for them! | club sandwich
16/9/2018 08:54 | CT thanks for the link to IDTeckEx in November. It’s interesting to flick through the presenters to date and to note the absence of any obvious competitors based in the US. Haydale is there with VRS, with a much more informative entry on the website than ours. We are not brilliant at PR, are we? But then, maybe we don’t need to be! | shavian |
