All this altruistic behaviour is very touching but when I vest mine I'm keeping the lot. £10 per share should afford me the opportunity to move into a nice penthouse in downtown Cheltenham with a pet panther and get a place on the coast, Marbella will do. I'll be doing the yellow Porche thing, getting my hair sorted and gnashers done. Then I live a little.

Don't judge me; Mrs Skylite and the kids will be fine.

Amongst all the unknowns regarding pricing, volume etc. I wonder what the strategy is regarding exclusivity? If say Michelin were prepared to pay a premium price for exclusivity in countries they operate, would that work for VRS or do they try and capture as much of the market as they can at a lower price?

You can make a good argument both ways but personally I’d go for the wider market at a lower price in the hope it discourages new competition.

I bought in around the 30p mark and built up a small holding but when I was £12k up I sold the lot! Now I have been buying them back for the last few months a bit at a time. Holding 17K shares with an average of around £1.20. I know it was daft to sell but when you see a decent profit, well you know. Anyway will add when my other 2 holdings rise and allow a top up here.

Hi luckyorange thank you for your thoughts / honesty. But...I can't recall you warning of concerns of over exuberance when we reached circa £1.20 quickly around Feb 2018...(pleased to be corrected on this) - why now with so many positive RNS' behind us since then? Do you think unicorn status is still attainable? Thanks

I started watching VRS in summer 2017. I came over here from IOF Board. Watched the share price drop to about 13p. Nearly bought some then but didn't and thought I had missed the boat when it went quickly back up to 25p. Then in November 17 there was a placing at 20p which was heavily oversubscribed, so that same day when the share price was stuck at exactly 20p all day I jumped in and bought my first 25k at 20p. Keeping those for ever, expect to 100bag one day. Been topping up ever since. Bought last lot Wednesday at 187p and I am now finished buying. Average about 75p. Not sold a single share yet. Will try and not sell any until at least 6 quid, at which point I will look to retire. My dilemma is that giving up a good job in the city will mean I'll need to sell a lot of these and put them into safer fund assets. Can't risk them tanking for some reason in the future. But of course they will probably go on up and up... maybe just keep my 25k for very long term. It's been great reading all the post over the last year or so. Such a depth of knowledge. And I am now even more excited by the possibilities for this company than when I invested aback at 20p last November.GLA long term holders.. hang in there as long as you can guys..not advice of course. :)

Well I got the chance/invite to meet the board in June 17, but had just got involved in helping a guy start his new business, missed out, then remembered with the help of comments from 'our man' on here.... wink wink nudge nudge again .... many thx.
So my ave is around the pound mark, some higher and some lower when it dipped back to 80's ...... 'happy as a pig in muck' ....
Cu at AGM... :-)

Great posts Festario, sounds like you have a lot on your hands and thanks for the explanation.

Neill covered the price quite a few times in the past Zag, a small amount does go a long way in applications and he did say the price is adjusted according to quantity so that it will be viable to companies like AECOM, it is a balancing act that Neill seems to be particularly good at.

Hopefully the share price will consolidate at 1.80 and it is possible for a rise to 2.20, mm's always seem to take it up to a previous high as a re test but it will take sustained buying to push it through that . We will see Monday.

"I think VRS are focusing on being the standout graphene company and building connections that others just don't have rather than selling anything they can to anyone."

those two things aren't mutually exclusive.

On a side note, the value of my combined ISA and SIPP (both of which solely comprise VRS) has just gone through the £100k mark for the first time, for shares that cost me less than £20k (32,278 shares in my ISA, 22,880 in my SIPP). Peanuts compared to some on here, of course, but a lot of money to me.

I expect that figure to be far higher by the end of next year, IF everything pans out...

Can anyone recommend a good restaurant near the "Set" for those of us with limited capacity for pickled eggs/pints of Old Fogey?

"I'd like to have reaped most of my profits in 2 years time or less."

I suspect that in c.2 years' time the 4th industrial revolution will just be kicking off (though that's not to say the VRS share price couldn't be far far higher than it is now). Might take 5-10 years to reach full steam. When there are articles everywhere in the mainstream press about the new wonder material we'll know it has arrived (and lots of new investors with it)...

"as time goes on and graphene becomes more commonplace there'll presumably be more competition and therefore lower prices as it becomes more and more ubiquitous"

true - but as that Graphene book mentions, as the price comes *down* the number of places/applications where it makes sense to use graphene goes *up*, so in fact the company may sell *more* graphene, a lot more - albeit at a lower price/margin - and still make *more* money...

My average purchase price is 62p. First tranche was in the teens, last top up was at £1.22 and my most expensive buy was at £1.27. Sitting tight now on my/her holdings. Onwards and upwards! Oh, and rainbow, be a good chap and keep on posting - not only are you very amusing, but your posts invariably drive up the share price See you at the AGM chaps.

CS agreed. I'd just like vrs to make hay while the sun shines because as time goes on and graphene becomes more commonplace there'll presumably be more competition and therefore lower prices as it becomes more and more ubiquitous. I'd like to have reaped most of my profits in 2 years time or less.

Zagrosfold - I think we will be surprised at what VRS can charge for their Graphene to different industries due to application benefit as well as volume e.g if you look at companies like Mcbride and Unilever one of their biggest input costs is plastic (and with high oil price this is hurt in profits) so the equation is x amount of Nanene reduces y% of plastic ... and then the cost of Nanene needs to be weighed against that and the environmental benefits this brings. When it comes to other applications like composites there is not just a reduction in polymers needed but a whole new area of stronger composites enabling differentiated designs ... and so on. Their key USP is strength they can enable with Nanene so expect them to double down on these applications and build IP to own more of the value chain there.

Zag - good point. None of us know. In my - highly speculative - calculations I assume an average price of £1/g or £1m a T, partly just because it's a nice round number - but of course that could be totally wrong. Small amounts sold for, say, consumer electronics could attract a far higher price, whereas if say Eacom were ever to order 'staggering' amounts I'd expect a lower price (maybe as low as 10p or 20p/g).

I doubt we'll ever know. As and when large sales start, I expect the results to state the total amount sold and the total revenues, but not a break-down of who paid what. I imagine VRS will have differential pricing based on who the customer is, their perceived desperation, the end application for the nanene and of course the quantity. They are never going to make public what has been paid, and I imagine any contracts will have NDAs with the client about price for exactly the same reason, precisely so VRS can charge different amounts to different customers.

All just my opinion, of course.
