Only if exercised and target prices look at 6.5% over 3 years followed by 16.5 and 16.5%. That’s a 60% return, nearly 10% per annum over 5 years. A very positive outlook.

People are talking about such options as if happened never before. These options are at current prices and exerciseable in 2021 and on wards. They will never pay this price at that time if share price is low then, never happens. Also makes share more liquid if vrs becomes bigger company by 2021. It may also be possible that NR is approached to sell his part shares to satisfy the institutional demand and one way to retain your percentage is to get options at current prices. Not a 1p option but 152p, remember.

I am perfectly content with today's announcement and its mid-term/longterm relevance.

As others have suggested, it may be timed to come ahead of news percieved as likely to lift the share price. But may also suggest that such news isn't likely to come within days in case that makes the low option price look too smart a move ;-)

That said - this company puts out such frequent news - that nobody can ever presume any tomorrow will be news-free! And the timing of many announcements is dictated in part by the client anyway.

In my decades of trading and investing, I've never owned another stock where there is such eagerness to check the morning announcements on a daily basis, in reasonable expectation that there may well be something!

Some people blow hot and cold, it's just the way they are. Others do it knowingly for emotional gain 'trolling.' Problem is, on a share BB, it can come across as 'trading.' Generally LTH's prefer to keep quiet, rather than highlight a 'weakness' as they see it, whether right or wrong. Why call your investment down ? Simple as. Gla in ghis game called life ! Best ellis

the other great news with AECOM is the number of huge construction companies that bid for/win work with AECOM as the Project manager/designer/cost planner etc

The roll out of this should tests be successful could be gargantuan for Versarien (been waiting to use that word with vrs) :)

Needless to say I am happy they have awarded themselves share options, not least because they work exceptionally hard and deserve them. Also because I happen to be an Executive Headhunter so know only too well how easy it is for companies to poach staff by offering more attractive financial incentives. I am sure both Neil and Chris have far more noble aspirations than personal wealth creation but one mustn't ignore the fact that remuneration is pretty high on the priority list for most people, whether they care to admit it or not.

foolishben - contrary to luckyorange's benign view of sonsonnyjim, I do regard him as a wolf in sheep's clothing - someone who plays the part of an honest longterm holder, and expresses hurt whenever doubted (fooling many) but whose role here is to feed in little one-line negative observations at every opportunity - knowing that someone will always rush to defend him when he again plays the hurt card.

But - a bulletin board takes all sorts, playing all sorts of games ;-)

I have no problem with these options and don't much care what it does to the share price Think the team at VRS deserve all the rewards they want to give themselves (within reason of course). In fact I have no problems at all with VRS right now - it seems to be firing on all cylinders most excellently.My take on this, fwiw, is that they've done it now because there's a slew of big news coming in the next few months: US approval, China, test results (4 due in next few months), and with any luck a first big order. It would seem cynical if they awarded options *after* any one of those. I guess some will always complain whenever they do it...And what's happening in India? All very quiet on that front?

Those option prices look fair and reasonable and are targeted at 6.5%. Gives Chris a bit more of a rewarding future should they maintain that share price growth.

$5 billion revenue, $9.4bn contract wins in the past QUARTER, with a business backlog of $54 billion. Just astonishing figures from a firm which came to seek out little VRS. Read down the report to see the scope of their activities. Let’s hope they don’t want to buy us out too soon.

Fair enough, I may well be wrong. I am also new to the rather unique world of the investment bb so may have confused nativity with something more sinister . It's nothing personal, it's just he seems to quite consistently see the negative in things that most would view positively. I also have a thing about wolves in sheep clothing and thought I would put it out there so I can refer back to it in the future, on the off chance I am right.
