Is phosphorene among the 2d materials being developed by Versarien?
I recall someone running a list of 2D materials past NR but can't recall what the answer was on phosphorene.

bootie - amazing that NIO are expecting to raise $1.3bn on the back of selling only 1000 vehicles so far (in 2-3 years?). An appeal on that same ratio would get short shrift in Dragons Den! But I do expect the ev industry to rocket rather than merely progress. Ev sales in Europe reportedly rose 42% in the first 6 months this year. (Still only a tiny percentage of the whole - so far; but the tipping point I think is nearer than some imagine)

Wow, some big numbers being crunched here for the next major EV manufacturer, in China of course!

NIO seeks to raise $1.3 billion in US IPO to become the next major electric-only automaker

This values the car maker at up to $8.5 billion and yet to make a profit :)

Agree senden, consolidation here is fine by me in preparation for the almost inevitable next leg up.

This company is in the right place at the right time and is doing everything....right! (Yes, Spike, I'll book some vocab courses! 🤣)

Very content to simply see the share price consolidate above 150 for a few weeks or so before, hopefully, some positive pipeline updates propel us onto the next leg up and in sight of breaching the magic £2 and beyond in the Autumn.

Just came back from a few days in Madrid, only to find the forum as busy as ever; so many messages to trawl through to catch up! I thought I'd quote a few of your thoughts that caught my attention:

night terrors, #30109: "Just catching up on the posts.... Don't know why I bothered! This board is like something out of Lord of the Flies / Animal Farm."

lovat scout, #30146: "My own view is that I prefer company management to be rewarded via a rising share price rather than high basic salaries. The company and shareholders are therefore in alignment."

fuji99, #30226: "VRS is marrying the two together and the big wedding and celebrations will happen before 2020."

Festario, #30257: "I’ve just woken up and read the share options news. I’m delighted with this, and I note they did it in 2017 too, to mature in 2020."

Club Sandwich, #30264: "I'm pretty well-adjusted these days, as long as nobody presses the buttons marked 'politics', 'Trump' or 'Brexit' ;-)"

I suppose I should add my thought as well, which thankfully does not involve politics and people bashing: I remain a sanguine long-term investor in VRS, and take much comfort in how the VRS share price has held up despite the efforts of the shorters. I'm also highly optimistic of positive news flow, which will be when it will be, as they say. I look forward to the big wedding celebrations alluded to by fuji99.

Appreciate the sentiments. Imagine how much more the world will change from today. As progress is only speeding up.It's my mission to fill out every page in my passport with visas before it expires. I have achieved this with my first adult passport, now got to replicate that with the second. I agree, a lot can be learnt from the old dogs but old dogs can often learn as much from the pups. Sometimes forgotten with some. Not pointing fingers.

Agame isn't very old as I recall but in short chat with him I worked out he has his head well and truly screwed on when it comes to investing and understanding which companies talk BS and those that don't.

Age doesn't come into it. Realising the AIM, Nomads, MMs, city tipsters, mag articles and so on are generally heavily weighted towards a personal agenda IS.

Don't get mugged by tip sheets.

Givers will happily help, in fact they won't do it if you want to pay them. The last thing they would do is try to fit up friends or other folk with a bad investment.

Takers would steal off their family and try to get everyone else buying shares they need to get the F out of. Then they would have a good gloat about it on how smart they were in having you over and not flinch at their criminal act, they seem devoid of morals.

They would do all they can to get people in the right places to stick out tips, news articles and so on.

Go on a tip and do no research and you are destined for doom imo. The Aim is well known easy hit for takers, so they set top some hot sector company on BS and cash in for many years. Some have been going 15 plus years, complete madness.

I have made 2 purchase without looking in 9 years with tips by two I know. There was no malice I was just busy and had no time to do research.

I sold both within a week at a small loss having had time to look them up and advised the same to those that told me. They didn't and lost a lot of money.

Three tips. DYOR, DYOR and DYOR (trust nothing)

Umm . It has been such a privilege to live through the foundation of the NHS , the birth of Rock and Roll, mainframe computing , arpanet, token ring, the oil crisis and myriad other things and to realise one only knows a fraction of "stuff".To recall Suez, Armstrong, Kennedy, The Wall, and missing Jimi Hendricks live because I was playing the Army team at Catterick.I do do better at university challenge than I did , I'll give you that. And here's the thing every second I get older , so do you.I spent two years in Iraq when there were only four Americans there. Been to places you can't now. And lived when Politicians stood after experience not during it.Be careful enjoy it , but be aware of the inevitability of ....ageing.

Dyson makes a profit in Asia.600 millionI'd value that Asian contribution to increase Marcap by an arbitrary figure of 40. I know they're private btw. Can't see why we couldn't equal or surpass them. We'd so that's £18 per share. ---I guess I'm spinning wheels waiting for reality. Reality a benign version seems to happen once a week.
