This is a move to retain Chris Leigh and secure his and VRS future, lets hope the market takes it that way .... he deserves it,as he is going to be very busy.

I imagine the company will be adding another director to the board before long - and options will be part of her/his package too.

You are wrong about sonny foolishben, he is a novice investor asking questions that is all and we all had to start somewhere?

Lovat scout, good point regarding aligned interests. Ben - talking about usual effect of this scenario isn't deramping, again I'm not sure you know what it means. Secondly, posting positively and tweeting NR positively AND pointing out kempsters delusions on twitter should be evidence enough. That's my last word on the topic, don't want to clog the thread

Don't begrudge them one option at the £1.52 exercise price - totally deserved. Probably cover NR's and CL's overtime if they had have billed VRS per hour by the time the vesting period comes :).

No issues with this, Bothe have worked extremely hard for us. I am sure Neill will reward those who are at the coal face too as revenues and profits allow.

It could be a sign that orders are about to arrive.

Them options are sure going to look cheap
I think this is just what we need to jncentivise and retain the expertise required to push this vehicle forward and keep it at the front of the grid.

Sonson- you have to give the management a carrot with options - you want them to blast through the levels rather than just touch them. Don’t forget options don’t get paid dividends either should they materialise at some point.

Should the share price go down on this news? Of course not- options are granted to directors routinely.

I would say that blockbuster news is unlikely to be ‘at the printers’ as awarding options just before publication would not look good! In defence of VRS board, there is so much in the pipeline that is out of their timing control and could land at any point, that if they had to wait for a quiet period, they may never be able to issue the options!

Chill - I reckon MW will jump ship to VRS when his year is up. Wouldn't you?NR has a habit of selling before big news and a price hike. Let's hope this award of options follows the same pattern...

That post was not subtle but your deramping is because you mix it with positive comments to make it come across that you have invested in VRS. I believe you are positioning yourself as a regular poster on this board so that you can support a short attack at some point in the future. We will see...

These option awards are soon forgotten once the real business gets going.
Sonson - you always come accross as a glass half empty type. Nothing wrong with a bit of caution. VRS is a bit different to a run of the mill AIM stock.

Club,

You are right but just making a point!

Can Govt employees be granted options? I guess not.

Wonder if Matt will defect to Private Sector? I bet he does!

Good point, just seems the 1.83 is (extremely) low, and those numbers may be off putting to an outsider. Thabks for the info chillpill

My own view is that I prefer company management to be rewarded via a rising share price rather than high basic salaries. The company and shareholders are therefore in alignment.

Sonson,

No Directors have a certain amount of discretion when they issue options. It is best for them to issue them before the price goes up.

So that is in fact positive.

I don't think it's bad news for the company just saying usually the grant of options moves a share price down if I'm not wrong?
