Silly season. Naff all volume so shorters are bound to try to get a dip while small amount of sales could move share price They are failing miserably. Been in slight downtrend since high of 137 in July. Chart looking like it's on the turn. MACD starting to converge and RSI levelling out around 0 after being over-bought. I expect upwards momentum to return, probably from next week.

Looks like the link in my post 25525 above was incorrect. Not sure what went wrong. Try

Jak,
congratulations you have proven your ability - admittedly astonishing - of copying and pasting a URL.

HOWEVER you then add as a means of justifying your argument:
If you want to highlight something specific then feel free..

That is not research - it is the opposite, you are waiting for someone else to do the donkey work. Well it ain't going to be me wasting my time.

You were asked several times about what it is that you liked about this 'little company' and yet you have totally failed to do so.

You know absolutely nothing of any substance about VRS, you simply do what most / (all?) shorters do: look at a chart, the results, and in particular cost run-rate, and available funds.

I've now filtered you because you add nothing - not even a good shorting argument.

Best wishes - Spike

I came across this when I was looking at graphene standards.

Chinese producer awarded the world's first graphene certificate.

hxxp://www.ecns.cn/news/economy/2018-07-02/detail-ifyvrptq6366709.shtml

I see that things are hotting up in China. This article describes the issues they are facing though and where the opportunities may be i.e. in the high end applications. However the Chinese do not hang about and I would have thought that NR should give up trying to talk to 24 entities and concentrate on one or two where early sales can be found Just suggesting but I have dealt with the Chinese for most of my career and lived in HK so have a modest appreciation of how they operate.

"More recently DOW chemical (MC $74 billion) has given a credit facility to XG of $10 million. Terms state XG can only use the 2nd $5 mill of they get $10 mill backing from someone else. Dow are clearly in to clean up any patents on the cheap when XG (private company) go bust as they have a senior debt.

XG sciences who said the DOW loan would give then 2 years have drawn down the last $1 mill as of 6th December 2017.

It's like comparing a rolls royce to a dacia and making assumptions which by definition are inherently false ie they will always be valued differently, based upon quality and desirability. The market arrives at a value via the stock exchange. The rest is opinion. Nothing to see here. Aimo. Best ellis

JakNife, you are right, VRS is a great little business, it would be really interesting to know why you think that in case we’ve missed anything. Important I think for you to give a balanced point of view otherwise it just looks like you know nothing about VRS are just here to spam the board with rubbish in an attempt to get investors to sell up to help your short at 60p? I’m sure that’s not the case and your intentions are entirely honourable. So come on tell us what you like about VRS.

And VRS is better than XG Science's XGNP grade C : Grade C particles typically consist of aggregates of sub-micron platelets that have a particle diameter of less than two microns and a typical particle thickness of a few nanometers, depending on the surface area.

Look at the Nanene data sheet and compare it to every other so-called "graphene" data sheet produced by every competitor. In every single case Nanene has fewer layers and higher purity then other competitor's products. Without these fewer layers and high purity so-called "Graphene's" improved characteristics are negligible.

serratia - 23 Jul 2018 - 21:49:51 - 22979 of 23358 VRS The world lead in real Graphene (Nanene) - VRS
As someone mentioned it I had a brief look at XG Sciences Q1 2018 figures -

Cost of sales was greater than sales. ie they sold material at less than the manufacturing cost !! That's before all the admin/R&D etc. They burnt cash at $2.2m in Q1 and had $2.3m cash at the end of Q1.

Yes they have 1220 customers but 83% of sales was from 1 customer. The other 1219 customers averaged less than £100 each. I assume they're just samples.

83 % of sales were from 1 product c-500. The designation relates to surface area ie 500 m2/gm. They would like you to believe that's around 5 layers. Single layer is 2630 m2/gm. A fairly recent paper says c-750 is 817 m2/gm. The issue is the lateral dimensions. c-750 gave poor performance in tests as it had very short laterals. It would seem that c-500 would have the same problems. New ISO standards for FLG will require both layers and length. I'd be surprised if they can do it.

Jak, thanks for that.

Can I suggest you stick Nanoxplore in the search field of this board, for opinions on this company, its CEO and their products?

Jaknife £185 million is peanuts in the modern world. From *what we know* we have a company producing few layer graphene at amongst the world's greatest quality (flake size, layers etc) which is being approached by large corporations from across the world to trail the product (admittedly revenue gain from these initial test batches is small) and what we have read time and time again (from university studies) is that material gains from this material are phenomenal (strength, weight reduction, barrier-qualities, conductivity etc) so-much-so THE UK GOVERNMENT IS SUPPORTING THIS COMPANY. One deal alone could blow the £185 million MCap out of the water.

Now of course we may all be wrong, this may all be a giant scam and Neil Ricketts maybe Bernie Madoff MKII BUT FROM THE FACTS WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN we can deduce that this is not the case and the company is legit. I know nothing in this world is certain but I'm pretty damn sure in this cash-strapped-austerity-tabloid-baiting time, the government would have done due diligence and done their homework before getting involved with Versarien otherwise they would have faced repercussions.
