Jeremy flicking hunt. He's sold off the NHS for fick all, now he's probably going to sell off our VRS for fick all too.

After my well-timed tip up today as well.

Not a fan of any Tory but if anyon deserves credit for any deal it's Fox.

Jeremy Hunt, our new foreign minister, is visiting China next week, could a deal be on the cards?

For anyone wondering why Chinese negotiations have been so protracted, the following link may help understand the complexities of negotiating with Chinese companies/districts/government.

Chinese view the process of negotiation not just as a means for thrashing out contracts, but more importantly to gauge how trustworthy and competent the other party is and the higher the status of the negotiating parties involved then the level of respect shown by the Chinese will increase.

We need to remember that Matt has not been directly involved for long and he would have been pivotal in gaining increased respect from any interested Chinese parties as the accessible face of HMG and no doubt this is why negotiations and interest from other parties has accelerated, resulting in a trebling of Neill's workload.

We just have to accept that the sheer potential scale and importance of any Chinese deals could be so huge, that any negotiations will inevitably require a huge amount of diligence and hours from all parties and the Chinese have a very different view of "contracts" than we in the West.

The fact that VRS/Matt and any other parties assisting with negotiations are taking so long to ensure the right deal on "our" (VRS/HMG) terms, whilst still ensuring there is massive value/benefit for the Chinese", should actually increase our confidence that VRS is hopefully securing the long term benefits for the business/country/shareholders, rather than Neill simply being motivated to make a fast buck and agree a poor deal just for short term gain and an early retirement.

I genuinely believe VRS will develop into a major global player and one of the UK's biggest companies, provided everything continues to fall into place. As each week passes the jigsaw is nearing completion.

Long time listener, first time poster.

Just put through an absolutely definitely last and final top up at these low low prices with a nice Games Workshop dividend that paid today. At least until the VOD divi pays next week lol.

Hi Mike - totally agree that the LOI is not a deal - not deramping now are you? (only joking), but I just copied and pasted the web address which cannot be construed as ramping in my book - www.directorstalk.net/interview-versarien-plc-from-1-to-24-deals-within-weeks/
I can see how the page address can be interpreted but its just how they titled their web page address. I think we should concentrate on more important matters like is Mclarens orange the VRS shade of orange? Cheers

It is highly likely that nanene was used by McLaren. There is a NDA in force that limits the info but my 'reading between the lines' of an answer I received from NR, makes me believe nanene was supplied via UOM.

Grabster, orange was the teams colour, back in the days of Bruce.
So Just coincidence. I think.

grabster, McLaren cars were orange from 1968 to 1971, I understand the current orange is a nod to that time. Nice idea though!

The buying outweigh the selling by a large proportion. This should take off.

Another drink - I quoted my reference. The implication is that VRS will do a deal 'within weeks' with the Chinese. What actually appears to have happened is that 'within weeks' the number of Chinese entities (and LOI's has increased from 1 to around 24).

The only point I'm making - and obviously not very well - for which I appologise - is that an LOI is not a 'deal' if it was a deal it would need to be RNS'd.

Best wishes - Spike

following handykart's link:

".. since McLaren changed its livery on the 2017 car from red to orange, the new production watch will feature orange accents, including crown and strap, to reflect this.."

Orange?? Why did they choose orange?

Versarien's house colour is orange. Coincidence?

(probably ;-)

I'm going to ramp it on China ;)

They are gagging for it and getting frustrated because they don't have it in industrial quantities. First mover there will mop it up just a shame that they have the deal mentality whereby they take it right to the limit. As soon as July is out of the way Jinan have overrun which is what they are supposed to do culturally, now VRS are in a 'walk away' position it is getting interesting.

Who was the Chinese company who bought some for testing?

anotherdrink: re your: interview-versarien-plc-from-1-to-24-deals-within-weeks not wishing to get picky, but having listened to it again (BTW it has already been posted), I can hear no reference to any Chinese deals 'within weeks'.

Are you sure you are right, if not it's - dare I say it - ramping ;0)

Best wishes - Mike
