There might not be much money in F1 from a revenue point of view.... but there is a hell of a lot of kudos and free advertising IF a car using Nanene is visibly more competitive and wins a race/championship and some of the performance can be directly proved to be from Nanene.

John Barnard designed the first McLaren F1 car, the MP4/1, to use a carbon fibre tub 35 years ago. It only seems fitting for McLaren to be the first to use a Graphene enhanced tub...

I don’t post but an avid reader of the gems of info on this board. I’m glad to see people seeing the light on sonjim. Clearly a deramper in disguise.

Brooky

I have them chatting to multiple names down that way.

I even had a contact seeing what he could found out. He attends the F1 events at the sharp end and ex F1 team member.

The web is a useful tool.

Well spotted, he did lie. He said all graphene needs functionalising first with chemicals. The usual hayd sales pitch.

I thought he's dropped that lie as after some persistent complaints about it they removed it from their website.

And yes he is stressed, folk behind the scenes know all about it.

I was going to ignore it but as you spotted it.......

Guys,
Re: imminent (or not) news:

We know that VRS have ordered more machines (we don't know how long ago), and we know from the results that two of the collab' results are 'expected in next two months' and three are 'expected shortly'.

However, Neill's latest pod, makes it clear that once the results of the collabs' are known (to VRS), they then enter the contract negotiation stage, pricing etc.

In short, let's not get to excited too soon re the above.

Having said that, there is always China, and always 'left field'.

So ... in short try and 'chill'

Best wishes - Spike

I don’t think sonsonnyjim is a deramper he is just looking for reassurance. Unfortunately there can be no absolute guarantees but if there was VRS would be a good prospect. Relax sonsonnyjim, good things come to those who wait, usually.

SuperG, at the investor day I thought I heard Neill say he wasn't interested in F1 as there's no money in it ?

I think the questions raised by sonsonyjim are a valid part of the discussion. (Excluding questions along the lines of "SG, in your opinon, will we get a fat deal in the next couple of months..). Lets not stifle the dialogue and make it a cheerleader forum.

Its getting closer by the hour,a VRS -Dyson collaboration surely is on the cards. Dyson job recently advertised

Dyson has an opportunity for a Powertrain Test Technician to join the highly successful Powertrain group within in its Electric Vehicle Engineering Team based at its Hullavington HQ.

Market Overview

Dyson HQ is home to over 3,500 people who work across a medley of engineering and commercial functions. The award-winning campus has three cafes, a sports centre and a number of engineering icons including our Harrier and Lightning jets - one of which hangs from the ceiling of our café. Based in Malmesbury, the campus is within easy reach of both the Cotswolds and cities like Bath and Bristol along the M4 corridor.
Also as part of the £2.5 billion investment, Dyson acquired a 517 acre plot in Hullavington. This former Royal Air Force base, just five miles from Dyson HQ, will increase our UK footprint tenfold. We'll be turning old hangars into futuristic labs and workspaces - creating a campus to rival those in Silicon Valley.

I think there are too many budding Poirots on here trying to tease out the truth about peoples positions from the tiniest clue. It's becoming an obsession. It is possible to worry about an investment especially if it is a major proportion of your wealth and not be a deramper. I prefer the pragmatic approach based on FACTS.

Bot - so I am massively invested and also trying to damage the company

...

That's dimtim levels of logic. Goodbye and good luck

Enough personal posts now, let's keep it on topic. Fascinated to see what the capacity is for. Most likely existing collaborations as they will be closest to commercialisation

Sonnyjim.
you seem to think you can damage VRS with your cheap digs, its like you are trying to inflict death by a thousand cuts. its not going to happen.Perhaps you have invested more than you can comfortably afford here .

There is nothing more I would love to see than McLaren extensively making use of Nanene in their F1 cars.... The Possibilities...

* Enhaced aerodynamics from strentghened, lightened, Nanene infused carbon aero parts
* Enhanced supension components, Lighter, Stronger Carbon
* Enhanced heat protection for components around the exhaust
* Stronger, Lighter, Stiffer tubs
* Enhanced Batteries for the Hybrid Energy store.... more capacity from a given size equals less weight

The list goes on and on and on. And all of this tech is directly related to on future Hyper-cars like the P1 and the new Speedtail.

One more thing I'd like to see is Versarien calaborating with Williams Advanced Engineering on the battery side. They do an awfull lot of work on battery tech and super-capacitors.

Versarien would benefit from F1 as the lead time in testing would be much faster. I bet the likes of Continental Tyres would take years to test a product, McLaren could chuck Nanene into the Carbon Fibre, devleop the part, test it on a rig / windtunnel and then be on the car within a season. Then we see the results (hopefully) on the track almost immediately.

Re that video ; 2 elephants in the room for me. 1 is no mention of iso standards. How does the characterisation service relate to them. I see our chap martin was cut off quickly ! ;) the other is that UK commited to spend £120m to get graphene up and running. VRS is it's star pupil, and being ably assisted by matt walker by all accounts. Vrs sitting pretty. Aimo. Best ellis

Just watched that video and noticed that the closing speaker -MD of Haydale blinks his eyes rapidly when delivering his piece to camera.

changingminds.org › Techniques › Use of body language › Parts-of-the-body language
Blinking is a neat natural process whereby the eyelids wipe the eyes clean, much as a windscreen wiper on a car. Blink rate tends to increase when people are thinking more or are feeling stressed. This can be an indication of lying as the liar has to keep thinking about what they are saying.

Ok both filtered, anyone that thinks discussing potential deals is poison can't handle the possibility of a company not entering a deal with VRS. VRS will doubtless make many deals (hence capacity increase), I'm simply discussing one particular deal, and not from a negative standpoint.

Fest, Melf, Jointer. I completely agree re machines, which is why I am still a 7 figure holder. My point was to say that it is a big order, that will underpin the share price and potentially propel VRS into becoming a Unicorn, nothing else. I also think NR is making this same point, particularly in the Doc Holiday interview.
