Fest - that's my design for life ;-)It's amazing how far you can get by occasionally - and not always appropriately - dropping a character from Greek mythology into a conversation. Sisyphus this, Procrustes (patron saint of project managers) that, Icarus the other, and before you know it you're away. Haven't managed to work Parmenion into a conversation yet - that feels like a C-suite allusion... ;-)And the occasional quote from Sun Tzu or Von Clausewitz goes down a treat too. Probably time I read them both...

Owenga - oi, watch it ;-)Not rich, no, but I do get paid out of all proportion to my worth. Oh well, the clients seem happy. I never get any complaints. A lot of the time I think they keep me around for my entertainment value...

Schmally, and just to add, some of us (including me) are retired old farts with nothing much better to do with our time, so prattle away on here.

Dare I say it: it's our 'social media' ;0)

Best wishes - Spike

Schmally. If you've read virtually all of the 23501 posts as I have you realise that we are like a big family and enjoy conversations with each other. It is also a fantastic forum for gaining knowledge about VRS from posters such as Superg1 and Mike Brenner to name but two. Good luck with your investing.

Perhaps I should have said twitchy instead. I can understand impatience, but don't quite get why temporary dips in the share price prompts such detailed discussion as to the reasons (PI flipping, funds forced selling, shorters scare tactic, etc). If you're in it for the long term, what will be will be. The only reason to get concerned would be if there is any negative news, or evidence that VRS may not fulfil it's potential. All evidence to date, suggests that the potential markets for VRS to exploit just keep getting bigger and bigger, with government support and recent additions further underpinning the business model. Other than impatience for the first major orders to arrive, I can only see the case for investing getting stronger as each RNS lands.

raf

They pop in and out on IG for their £50 per point and the odd one up to £300 per point but that's all they do.

It topped out about 14% of clients short and now shows 11%.

Let them get on with it, still in promise mode which means more big good news to come. They are also guaranteed known buyers which is a point I keep raising so they would buy any dip just like those waiting to add.

Bit by bit any supply that may be in play gets eaten away.

As it stands we are on a road for prices higher than the previous best in the not too distant future imo. What happens between now and then doesn't bother me.

We do get a few flippers chasing other shares but most of those are known now.

"I really don't understand why some on this board get so concerned about short term dips in the share price. Most of us on here have an excellent understanding (assisted greatly by SG) why VRS is in such a strong position and the excellent potential for massive advances by the company and the share price."

Fairly obvious, I'd have thought: because until the money actually starts arriving none of us can quite believe it's true! ;-)

That's also the reason the share price isn't already much, much higher...

I really don't understand why some on this board get so concerned about short term dips in the share price. Most of us on here have an excellent understanding (assisted greatly by SG) why VRS is in such a strong position and the excellent potential for massive advances by the company and the share price.

Everyone that has a detailed understanding of VRS should have a medium to long term investment horizon (maybe with some targets for top slicing along the way) and any temporary dips until major orders arrive, should not cause any concern. If you get nervous about a 10-20p dip every now and then, then sell and chill.

I've topped up 10 times since my initial investment in October and now hold 70k shares (by far my biggest holding in my SIPP). I'm absolutely relaxed about having a big exposure to a single AIM share (never normally advisable). Indeed the only thing that's playing on my mind is what to do with my time when VRS allows me to retire at 55 in a few years time and what to do about exceeding the Lifetime Allowance when my VRS holding increases 10 fold. Ah well! There are worse problems to have:)

Interesting snippet about China taking the lead regarding EV's and the potential for multiple uses for graphene in EV's

"On graphene, the carbon material that has yet to be fully commercialised, Reid said it could replace any number of existing materials used in EVs.

"There are new carbon materials that have qualities we've not seen in any kind of material before, he said."
