BTW

There was other supply in March/April which may become apparent going forward, it wasn't part of the recent supply.

News led, like the other 2000 or so out there.

That's what some think until it suddenly moves with no news. It's all about supply and demand.

This week some geared PIs have sold on various shares including VRS to fit in with the new rules. EG if they have 5% margin shares in their account those will move to 20%. Then the actions vary for the different SB companies.

The move from 65-70p to 90p was around the time Miton stopped selling post the redemptions issue they had.

Since the last week of May right through June and at east the first half of July such funds have sold to feed the MMs with stock.

So if Miton are to go to zero, what then for the MMs. Herald have a few but Katie seems more controlled.

Like some have said all that have SB positions in any shares should check the guidance set by the individual company and act accordingly.

Cool flying suit.

If I wait 5 years I can get one for £300 behind the co-op checkouts when the new ones come in.

It looks useful for sorting leaves in the garden.

Re spreadbets

It varies from company to company. EG coty index freeze original accounts under the old rules and open new account for new positions.

Overall brilliant news as far as I'm concerned.
It doesn't change the leverage point on AIM which is typically 25% but does for big companies where it changes from 5% to 20%.

It means less shares held by those geared so less impact on price dips etc.

The 50% is just a new tipping point.

In addition:However, new ESMA requirements require us to automatically close your positions when your cash, including running profit and loss, drops below 50% of your margin requirement. This represents a significant change to how your account operates and it is important that you understand how your account will function. How does this work in practice? Imagine you have £1200 cash on your account. You place a FTSE trade with a guaranteed stop, which requires margin of £1000. If you run a loss of £700 on the position, your account equity would become £500. This reaches 50% of your margin requirement, and therefore triggers position closure under the new close-out rules.

Super, for info. As I thought the 50% close out rule applies to ALL positions come Monday irrespective of when they were opened (so not just new positions)."If you have existing positions and are running losses on your account, you will be at risk of closure if you do not have sufficient funds on the account to cover your full margin requirement. We will be making this change from 1pm on Monday 30 July."Text lifted directly from an IG reminder email.

Sonsonny

No idea re timing but big and small companies involved have potentially blockbuster breakthroughs. Arrowgreen tech still intrigues me and I suspect Continental will be excited by results.

Dozens of other big names are in the mix as yet unannouced. If something becomes newsworthy we will get to hear about it.

EG as far as I'm concerned I believe near all F1 teams are looking at quality graphene, large steel companies, large electronics companies, auto, aerospace and sports companies. All sorts of sectors through a spectrum of products and uses.

Whatever is in the accounts with VRS is in line with whatever the business is doing.

BS is not in the DNA of Chris the CFO or NR.

If you take the time to get to know them it becomes blatantly obvious.

Why do you think, Cameron, May, Fox Clarke, Matt Walker, UOM, NGI, NGA, CPI, AIM heads and the Chinese like them so much. Even royalty if you dig deep enough.

It's refreshing to meet guys not at all interested in BS.
