11/7/2018 19:39 | 1teepee - I guess it depends on the deal: even if there were stickers on the tyres they wouldn't last long and normal punters would be unlikely to ever see them anyway! | club sandwich

11/7/2018 18:46 | Thought customers of Versarien had to display nanene logos? How come they don't even say it has Graphene in. | ![]() 1teepee
11/7/2018 18:38 | graphene ink, The ink is invisible under normal room light and becomes visible when lit by specific light types. In addition, emission spectra peak will be different depending on the different wavelength of illuminated light, which can be useful for anti-counterfeiting applications. yet another patent accommodated by the asian community, | dreamtwister
11/7/2018 18:28 | Even better - Continental just announced rolling out new low heat, hard wearing & smart "Radial" tyres for load and carry applications from 2019 in addition to the "Pick & Stack" tyres mentioned above "Heat build-up is the biggest challenge and the main reason for high maintenance costs and vehicle downtime. “With our new radial tires with a very low heat build-up produced with state of the art technology, we are once again reinforcing our position as a full solutions provider for port operations,” says Alexander. The radial tire portfolio will be available with integrated tire sensor ready for the digital solutions ContiPressureCheck and ContiConnect shipped from the factory. The tires will be available from next summer." | pcjoe
11/7/2018 18:17 | Nice find curtain twitcher re the Continental tyres - This bit gave a possible clue to graphene use "The compound is called Port Plus, and it is designed to reduce abrasion and heat build-up in the tire and thus increase the tire's service life" Graphene is a great conductor of heat - Something else just announced very recently - "Directa Plus has announced that Oakley, in collaboration with Bioracer, a designer and manufacturer of customized clothing for cycling, have launched the G+ Graphene Aero Jersey containing the Company’s graphene-based products. Unveiled today at the July 2018 EUROBIKE trade show in Friedrichshafen, Germany, the new jersey is designed to leverage the unique properties of Graphene Plus (G+) to dissipate heat from the rider’s body." If it can dissipate heat from an athletes body it can likely do the same through rubber tyres... | pcjoe

11/7/2018 17:51 | CS - likewise seen nothing from Marko Ruusinen except NR sharing some tweets in his direction now and then - and Marko not responding. Hope he's not pocketing a fulltime salary for his apparent inaction. Seems a very wasteful arrangement having a US 'HQ' at all - unless there's something going on that gets a mention alongside results next Thursday. "Establishing US sales office in Palo Alto to exploit significant opportunities in the region" is how the company announced the setup last year (Nov 29) | ![]() grabster
11/7/2018 17:24 | Forest, I too bought a more late this afternoon at 1.29 which shows as a sell. You would think that with today's technology all trades could be marked correctly | wr63
11/7/2018 17:19 | Forest - short answer is no but it all depends which side of the trade you are! Whoever sold you your shares has had the trade correctly marked as a sell from their perspective. Personally I’d get rid of the colour coding on trades as it’s misleading most of the time. Buy and sell indicators are all generated around the middle price, which is an understandable assumption, but not necessarily accurate ( particularly since algorithm trading arrived a few years ago)as more aggressive orders are priced to trade on the ‘wrong’ side of the middle price - hence your purchase showing in red. | lovat scout

11/7/2018 16:36 | BTW, while I'm here: have we ever had *any* news at all out of the US office since it opened? I can't remember a single collab deal or news of any sort attributable even in part to the US office? Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong... | club sandwich
11/7/2018 16:34 | pshevlin - wouldn't dream of it. restraint of pen and tongue and all that. Or is it harmony of pen and sword? I forget... | club sandwich

11/7/2018 15:48 | killgallp...cut out the politics please. Fortunately we live in a parliamentary democracy with all its faults but at least one of them is not one (idiotic) persons ability to decide the future of all its citizens. | ![]() pshevlin
11/7/2018 15:40 | Lol lovat. Nevertheless, I imagine an invite where the movers and shakers meet and greet wouldn't do any harm to the reputation of VRS. Best ellis. | ellissj
11/7/2018 15:33 | Just back, thanks for your response Lovat S. I did wonder if he might be involved, last time it happened on this scale, he'd just announced further trade sanctions on China! I have no time for the man, but if I could say one positive thing. If he was in charge here, Brexit would have been done and dusted! I sorta hoped it might have recovered while I was out.
