When Erik Wallenberg invented a tetrahedron shaped plastic-coated paper, nobody believed that the founded company by Ruben Rausing, called Tetra Pak would be today a 12 billion euros business employing almost 30.000 people. The application is now found in almost every drink or food pak we use. If one extrapolates to Nanene in every bit of material used by almost every industry, the analogy does not need a drawing.

When Sky team add it to whatever they are doing there will be plenty of coverage.

The other area where VRS has a finger - and mostly overlooked - is the battery storage which in itself is a goldmine in the medium to long term.

Interesting conversation by the Eurosport presenters re graphene during today's TDF stage. Hanson, the ex Aussie pro who designs his own bike shoes, and Carlton Kirby.
Kirby seemed to be well informed and Hanson said he had enquired about graphene(presumably for the soles)but couldn't source any....nice publicity.

Why graphene hasn’t taken over the world...yet
Is it really almost here, or is it another promise that is perpetually just one more breakthrough away?

Grabster...........the IDTechex is the same as the one I went to in Berlin in April.

In my view there is no need for VRS to spend its capital as the same people will be going and VRS may not be able to send anyone.

NR is due to talk at the Austin Texas show in October so for me that is more important to get the man down from Santa Clara and get mixing.............

Speaking of toads, it's noticeable how certain 'contributors' have disappeared now there's a bit of blue around.

Depends on the woman. She'd have to be a real looker to beat a talking frog...

With age comes wisdom. Sorry to those over 70 who don't agree with this !!

•Here's a guy in his 70's who loves to fish.
He was sitting on the river bank one day when he heard a voice say "Pick me up".

He looked around, couldn't see anyone & thought he was dreaming when he heard it again. " Pick me up".

He looked down & there in the grass was a frog. The man said "Was that you, are you talking to me?". The frog said "Yes, I'm talking to you. Pick me up, then kiss me & I'll turn into the moist beautiful woman you've ever seen. I'll make sure you're the envy of all your friends because I'll be your bride".

The man looked at the frog for some time, then picked it up & put it into his shirt pocket. The frog said " What, are you nuts? Didn't you hear what I said? Kiss me & I'll be your beautiful bride!"

He opened his pocket, looked at the frog & said "Nah, at my age I'd rather have a talking frog!"

"Do we simply expect some updates to be more candid than others given client confidentiality concerns?" - hits the nail on the head, I think, Chumbo.

I have a question for the room:

In terms of expectation management, how does one reconcile the twin facts that 1) Neill is looking forward to updating us on the collaborations and 2) Several of our partners are anonymous and possibly will want their endeavours in a particular field of product development to be under the radar?

Do we simply expect some updates to be more candid than others given client confidentiality concerns? If I were working on a new market-beating super-widget I don't think I'd want my raw material supplier letting the cat out of the bag before I was good and ready, and even then.....

Curious what wiser people than me expect.

Lovat

There have been a few trying to work it out. The nomad had no idea who was buying. It seems it was being done in the open market to start and began in late May.

Posts here in recent weeks wondered if the buyer/s would sweep up loose stock and PI sellers with any other supply before making an approach for stock.

Singer early on were the main suspect for the supply, it's been posted about a few times.

That 500k was diffrent to what we saw in early June and since, so perhaps with the share price this high the grab stock from funds has started to beome more direct.

When they are gone they are gone.

SG - I presume you think the buyer is making approaches to IIs for blocks of shares rather than VRS!

Citi you say. Well that adds fuel to my fire re the suspected buyer.

It sounds like the buyer/s is now making approaches perhaps.
